Aw Seahawk I've been thinking about you and wondering if you'd heard yet. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for good news, we need some! :)

Happy Birthday, I know it's probably not your best, but I hope you manage to enjoy it a bit. Let's hope the universe decides to give you a VERY good birthday present.

Take care xx

Seahawk80 · 19/12/2016 12:10

Thanks rum that's lovely of you. I managed fine over the weekend as I knew I wouldn't hear but now that it could be anytime I'm a nervous wreck. Good news is at least the bleeding has stopped.

I will keep you posted.

Hope you're doing ok too, I saw your post on ante natal tests and my heart went out to you. It's just such a hard horrible time xx

whyistherumgone · 19/12/2016 12:24

Do keep us updated and hope you manage to stay busy to try and keep your mind off it (although I know it's practically impossible!)

Ah thank you, it is tough but trying to keep my chin up and weirdly it's actually strangely comforting to see everyone progressing on here. It's really helpful to have such a supportive forum as well. x

Knittinggurl · 19/12/2016 15:44

I'm a bit behind with everyone's post I'm afraid after a bt of a rollercoaster weekend, but all the best of luck to everyone who is waiting for scans and results at the moment - fingers crossed for you all.

Fortunately I haven't had any more bleeding after Friday night (so far) and our scan went well at the EPU on Saturday. It was wonderful to see our bean again and it was lying back and kicking its legs in the air. Was such a relief after spending the night on Friday not knowing whether we were losing it or not. They were excellent at the EPU I have to say but didn't know what caused the bleeding - said maybe just one of those things with everything moving about a lot st the moment down there.... I have to monitor it and have 12 week scan on Friday 23rd plus results of my Harmony test should be in at the end of this week or next. Feels so near and yet so far away at the moment - but we are feeling very grateful and taking everything one day at a time. The truest cliche ever about pregnancy. Wishing everyone else the best of luck Flowers

The bloat. I'm looking huge while wait has been going down. Also I recommend staying away of acidic foods

Mawita · 19/12/2016 18:40

Hallo! I love this thread and to hear from other mums to be in July.

I am 9+2 have had a good pregnancy so far, lots or burping and bloating after meals. Nausea instead of hunger and cravings for fresh fruit and veg.

My scan isn't until after Xmas so I am a bit gutted as I won't survive Xmas without telling the family.

Currently considering paying for a private scan for peace of mind before Xmas.

Would appreciate some recommendations.

DaisyQueen · 19/12/2016 18:49

Mawait. My scan isn't til after.christmas either and I'll be nearly 14 weeks by then. I was really hoping to tell my dd's on Christmas but don't want to get their hopes up before the scan. I am also suffering from major bloat and even bought bigger jeans today because I couldn't breathe in anything but pyjamas, which is fine by me but not when I need to leave the house Grin

CatRash · 19/12/2016 19:22

Ok ladies, tell me honestly...How much weight have you put on? I've put on 5lbs and am only 9 weeks today Shock

I'm quite strict on how much I eat as pile on the pounds the moment I look at food!!! I usually don't eat between 9pm to 1pm the following day and then usually have an apple and cereal for lunch, then nothing to dinner.

Upon finding out I'm pregnant DJ told me I'll have to eat more. As has the midwife. So I've been trying to eat more - I have a orange for breakfast and try to eat a satsuma or two during the day. If feeling naughty I'll have a packet of crisps.

So I'm not eating a considerable amount more but clearly enough to pack an extra 5lbs on! So I'm I interested to know how much others have put on??

(And so I know I'm not alone in the weight gain!!!)

CatRash · 19/12/2016 19:25

DJ = DH.....He's not a DJ

Twixes · 19/12/2016 19:32

I don't know how much I've put on Catrash but my tummy has definitely popped and I'm struggling to fit into clothes.

I've also been way too busy lately to buy anything new for Christmas which is a bit depressing! I'm hoping I'll be able to snatch a couple of hours to try to get a loose dress or something. I'd feel a lot better about myself if I had a nice dress to wear on Christmas Day, sad but true!

Mawita · 19/12/2016 19:33

Hi DaisyQueen,

It doesn't feel real as all I have are the pregnancy tests and don't want to tell them too early especially before a scan.

catRash I have definitely been eating more specially as it helps the nausea, not really watching the weight as it seems contradictory but have abstained from fatty fried foods and pastries.

My jeans are starting to hurt so going shopping for a bigger size after Xmas, I am buying a running buggy and taking advantage of a summer baby to tackle the pounds afterwards. If it really worries you how about eating more and joining a pregnancy yoga class? To balance it all out?

DaisyQueen · 19/12/2016 19:48

Cat Rasharkin I have gained 6 lb and I am near 12 weeks. I have just that minute weighed myself and I'm blaming constipation and the massive lasagne and chips I had for lunch Grin

DaisyQueen · 19/12/2016 19:49

CatRash* auto-correct hates me

Spindelina · 19/12/2016 20:04

Catrash only about 2kg, but thats only because I've been trying really hard. Between 1.5 Christmas seasons, three pregnancies and the fallout between them, I've put on about 15kg since the end of November 2015.

LuciBee231015 · 19/12/2016 20:25

Hi ladies, I still weigh the same as I did when I got pregnant and I'm 13+2. My body looks totally different tho and my belly is Defo starting to pop out underneath my belly button.

rhodes2015 · 19/12/2016 20:35

Same as luci I weigh the same as I did when I got pregnant (12wks tomorrow).
hungry constantly but no appetite.
I've got a little bump though. actually the first time ever I've been disappointed I haven't put weight on when I got on the scales.

Knittinggurl · 19/12/2016 20:40

I've put on 5 lbs and I'm 12 weeks on Thursday. I'm not worried about the weight in itself but I am so sick of eating if that doesn't sound too weird - carbs are the only thing that stop me throwing up and I'm still being sick about twice a day, but I'm not enjoying my food at all and never 'fancy' anything at all. Hoping when I'm less sick I can eat a bit lighter but fruit and salad are not going to help me at the moment!

Still in my usual clothes at the moment but have a noticeable baby mound (think that's more appropriate than bump!) so won't be not them for long....

Bawbles · 19/12/2016 21:15

I'm massively burpy and bloating too.

Gained 2.5lb (I'm 11 weeks) and two cup sizes. I feel like my tummy has popped out but it's most likely wind and constipation

I'm definitely eating too much junk, the office is full of chocolates and it feels like I've been non stop munching.

CatRash · 20/12/2016 08:50

Thank you all for replying but now I feel like a right porker lol!! Maybe I'm having a litter!

My clothes still fit, although I can definitely feel them getting tighter. Luckily I still have size 12 clothes from when I used to be a bit bigger so shouldn't have to worry about buying anything new for a little while....In theory...

Don't apologise Daisy - I rather like my new name haha!

Yes Mawita I think I might do yoga or pilates. Although all the pregnancy classes round here don't let you join until you're 16 weeks +

10Betty10 · 20/12/2016 08:51

Am so relieved to hear others are showing too! Whenever I look online or on other mumsnet threads, it's basically people saying it's not possible to show at 10 weeks on 1st preg, you're just bloated etc- however- it's rock solid and never goes up or down!!

DrewOB0 · 20/12/2016 10:24

8 weeks here, morning sickness seems to have properly started. Does that make sense time wise?

LuciBee231015 · 20/12/2016 10:55

My morning sickness started at around 6+5, getting less severe now and fingers crossed its wearing off, am 13+4 today. I still ant even look at chicken tho, and gag quite a bit. Looking forward to feeling a bit more like myself soon.

TinklingTheIvories · 20/12/2016 11:16

I had it quite bad from 5 weeks. I'm now 8+5 and its manageable. I make sure I eat regularly, including a biscuit in bed before I move, and it's ok. Luckily it's the school holidays (I'm a teacher) so I can take it easier and chill until I feel able to move.

Kitsandkids · 20/12/2016 13:11

As far as I know I haven't put on any weight. I am a bit 'larger' anyway (size 18-20) so I think my flab is hiding any bump that might appear. My mum was biggish when she had her first child too and she said she didn't get any kind of bump until she was about 5 months pregnant so I'm imagining I'll be similar.

Seahawk80 · 20/12/2016 17:12

Great news - the cvs came back normal! I'm so relieved I can't even believe it! Such an awful few days. I really hope that none of you have to go through it. If anyone does come back higher risk please feel free to pm me about it.

Damson how did your scan go today? Fx it was much smoother than mine
