Lol think I'd have to find it first, I hurtled it at the wall and I'm pretty sure it went behind the coffee machine..... Not gonna let it get the better of me by lowering myself to look for it haha!

Give me a week and I'll probably be craving it!!

Fattycowagain · 12/12/2016 21:48

With my first, I craved mostly healthy stuff. Now I crave the stupid bacon bits! Why?

Bawbles · 12/12/2016 22:01

Good luck for tomorrow fatty, it's so exciting!

whyistherumgone · 12/12/2016 22:28

Have been away for a few days so this thread dropped off my list, took a while to find it again!

Stuck I am so sorry to hear your news xx

Good luck for tomorrow Fatty hope it all goes OK. My early scan is next week and I am already a nervous wreck, I feel sick every time I think about it and convince myself every pain or twinge is something bad so I know how you feel apprehension wise. Will be sending you all the good luck vibes tomorrow!

Bluebeard wow twins! Bet that was a surprise! Congratulations to you and your other half :) how far along are you - sorry if this has been posted, I've just tried to catch up on everything I've missed.

I should be 9 weeks tomorrow according to my dates, definitely have a bit of a paunch and my emotions are still all over the place - I woke up in the night last night, cried my eyes out, went back to sleep, woke up feeling quite happy in the morning. Madness!

I've become quite the obsessive knicker-checker and boob poker of late and am trying to stay positive for next week, if all goes well we are going to tell our folks over christmas too although we won't be 12 weeks by then, our 12 week scan is in January.

On the non-drinking at christmas front I've now attended two nights out, a family meal and a weekend away with friends and employed my fake drinking tactic along with DH - we kept swapping drinks when he got half way through so it looked like I was drinking too, result was one very drunk fella. Took one for the team there ;) Would be so much easier if my friends and family weren't so pushy about drinking - 'antibiotics? pff you'll be fine!' etc.

How's everyone else getting on with social events?

Sorry about the super long post, off to bed now. Night all.

CatRash · 12/12/2016 22:28

Ugh think they'd turn my stomach! Maybe it's something to do with the protein in them?

whyistherumgone · 12/12/2016 22:31

I have recently had a hankering for bacon too, fatty - never usually a fan, strange! Maybe cat is right and it's something to do with the protein in them.

Fattycowagain · 12/12/2016 22:35

I haven't had any alcohol ever since having my first, as first I was pregnant and after that I've always breastfed. I am still feeding now and the faff of having a drink and then calculating when the alcohol will be out of my system is too much faff for me! So nobody expects me to drink anyway.

Cat, good call about the protein. Will see if adding more protein to my diet will help with the craving. Last time I craved satsumas and raw meat. Once I started adding more iron to my diet, the craving for red meat went away.

CatRash · 13/12/2016 07:08

Rum That's a good article! Might have to try it! I've only been to one social and drove (and gave others a lift there and back) so no questions were raised!

I've told a friend and colleague I'm pregnant so she's helping me out at the Xmas party next week.

Or the bacon could be a sodium thing??

I'm craving satsumas!!! Satsumas, oranges, clementines, grapefruit and also salt and vinegar crisps (random...)

CatRash · 13/12/2016 07:10

Article = Idea

No idea if that was autocorrect on my phone or me being genuinely dumb. Anything goes nowadays!

bluebird1235 · 13/12/2016 07:17

Morning all! I think I'm the same as you rum, 9 weeks today! I've been hit pretty lightly with the symptoms as I've not had any proper nausea yet. I do get really tired and mega hungry. I'm eating about twice as much and I am asleep by about 8 every night but I can't really complain as it's nothing compared to the morning sickness SIL had! Also I got quite a strong line 4 days before AF was due so suppose that could have been a clue - didn't stop me POAS every day for a week though!

I was at a wedding a couple of weeks ago with old work friends and started on gin and lime and tonic, then I realised they had virgin cocktails which looked pretty convincing and were mega sugary so had the added benefit of keeping me awake! If anyone started talking about booze DP did a very good job of changing the subject by talking about the last wedding we went to where I got absolutely smashed and was sick in the car on the way home Confused I hate it when he tells that story but it was such a good subject changer I had to let him get away with it!

Good luck for your scan fatty!

Spindelina · 13/12/2016 08:03

Good luck, fatty!

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 13/12/2016 08:10

Hi girlies. We have a secret Facebook page (meaning that no1 on your newsfeed can see what you post) for all those due in July. If you'd like me to add you into the group then just send me a private message on here.
:) xxx

Holz657 · 13/12/2016 09:12

Hi everyone :)

I'm 8 weeks tomorrow. Feeling pretty good, last few days my boobs have stopped being as sore which is nice. Still feeling a bit sick. Just waiting for this year to be over, it's really hard hiding you're not drinking. Especially when you'd never turn down a wine haha x

DrewOB0 · 13/12/2016 09:31

Morning all! Stupidly tested this morning and it came out a lot fainter for than previous tests. Worried sick now, especially as baby came up small on scan :(

Seahawk80 · 13/12/2016 09:41

Drew I did exactly the same at around 8 weeks. Worried myself sick. Apparently it's totally normal so please don't worry! After that I gave any remaining tests to my friend who is TTC to avoid future scares!

Cat I have the same cravings as you! With the crisps it can't be normal crisps tho, has to be hula hoops, squares or pop chips!

Kitsandkids · 13/12/2016 10:13

Had my emergency scan this morning and I saw my baby! Measuring exactly right, with a heartbeat! Phew!

DrewOB0 · 13/12/2016 10:15

Awesome! What a relief :)

OohNoDooEy · 13/12/2016 10:51

Great news kits

suntraveller · 13/12/2016 11:16

Great news kits

whyistherumgone · 13/12/2016 11:29

Great news kits so relieved for you!

Drew look up the hook effect, tests getting lighter is normal.

thumbsupforthesixbillion · 13/12/2016 11:31

Brilliant news kits!

I had my maternity exemption card through the post yesterday, DH said it must be real now I have a pregnancy ID.

BeamReach · 13/12/2016 11:33

Well ladies. I will say goodbye and wish you all the best, my scan today was not consistent with an ongoing pregnancy. 6 week sac with no fetal pole.... I should be 8/40 roughly and no way I am 6 weeks as partner was away for most of 1 month......

I am ok, it was a miracle I even got pregnant, so was prepared for bad news......

LuciBee231015 · 13/12/2016 11:47

Beam so sorry to hear that, I hope you are ok. Take care of yourself xx

Kits, so pleased for you! Now relax and take it easy lady!

I seem to be having same cravings as a lot of you, bacon sandwiches, hula hoops and clementines! How weird! Polished off half a packet of cream crackers smothered in butter this morning...Whoopsy!

Fattycowagain · 13/12/2016 11:58

Beam, so sorry to hear that!

Fattycowagain · 13/12/2016 12:01

Ladies, I'll be leaving this group as well.
I had my midwife appointment today. She couldn't find anything with the external scan, except for a couple of cysts on my right ovary, which explain having pains there. She went on to do an internal. And she found a little sac. No heartbeat yet, but there is a pregnancy which looks to be 5 weeks! So off to the August club for me!
