I had my scan however dated at 11 weeks so I have to go back.
Definitely a person in there tho so that's a relief!

MissisBee · 09/12/2016 07:53

I wish the puking would stop now. I thought things would be getting better by now but this week has been the worst so far. It has been a stressful and busy week though - unexpected extra hours in work, a fibroid, an amniotic band and then blood tests for thalassaemia. Roll on 6pm and the weekend.

Hi Hazy, finally managed to get on my laptop & sent you a PM. Let me know if you need anything else x

HazyHazyJeans · 09/12/2016 12:10

Thanks for the PMs about the facebook group. I've added you/replied to your messages Smile

Blueskyrain · 09/12/2016 13:07

Grrrr. Phoned up this morning about my 12 week scan ( I'm 12 weeks today), and it turns out it's Monday morning. The letter then arrived 10 mins later.

I'm quite grumpy that they have given me less than 1 working day to sort this out with work. I now have to sort it out with work, and my husband has to rearrannge meetings, or I'm going by myself.

Mummyh2016 · 09/12/2016 14:42

Likewise missis my nausea stopped at 9/10 weeks but then came back a week later with a vengeance Sad was hoping it would stop when the 2nd trimester started but my auntie told me a couple of days ago she had it all the way through Shock

Thank you Six

DizzyNorthernBird · 09/12/2016 16:20

Hi all thanks for the thoughts. Been felling a bit more positive today about things. Yesterday I was a bit negative and convinced myself I'll be getting bad news next week. I guess it's natural to feel like this and I'll just have to go with it.

Last night I tried on my first pair of maternity jeans in H&M, they were lovely but £50 bloody quid?! I thought their stuff was supposed to be cheap?! I wouldn't have minded if they were £20-£30 but I'm not spending £50 quid right now in case it's bad news next week and I'm faced with the decision whether to terminate. So I'll just have to stay uncomfortable for now! Rapidly running out of options to wear though Hmm

bluesky that's frustrating, I hope you managed to get something sorted out between your work and your DP's. If not I would pull a sickie, first scan is so important as I've now learned.

Welcome pugsy, hope the bleeding has settled down. My sis is currently pregnant, she had really heavy bleeding at around 16 weeks but baby is fine (think she's now about 22 wks).

haveacupoftea · 09/12/2016 16:58

£50 is expensive, I've bought a few bits out of New Look and Dorothy Perkins, have to say the DP is a much better cut for maternity wear, the tops are longer at the front.

HazyHazyJeans · 09/12/2016 17:21

If you don't mind wearing second hand (bearing in mind most stuff is barely worn) check out eBay & fb selling pages for maternity stuff. I begrudge spending much ££ on clothes I'll only wear for a few months! Tight-arse GrinGrin

RoseBud2016 · 09/12/2016 17:22

My Harmony result has come back inconclusive so they are now testing another vial of blood. Another week to wait, with the possible need to do a redraw of blood after that. This is turning into such a stressful and long wait!

Didn't this happen to someone else recently too?

Dizzy Easier said than done but your age was always going to make your screening come out higher risk than most. This doesn't mean there is anything wrong. I hope your harmony results come back quickly and put your mind at rest. X

HazyHazyJeans · 09/12/2016 17:24

Oh rose that sounds really frustrating. I hope you can get the results quickly

DizzyNorthernBird · 09/12/2016 17:47

hazy others keep suggesting FB selling pages to me too, I really should take a look, although I'm a bit torn between wanting new things but not wanting to spend money!

cupoftea I'll check Dorothy Perkins when I'm next in town. At the moment I'm just managing as I deliberately bought new work trousers a size bigger a few weeks ago so I'm fine during the day then in the evenings I just wear trackies. But I really struggle on days off as all my favourite skinny jeans are too tight now and I don't have many baggy tops!!

I've also got a work training day next Friday where you're allowed up wear smart/casual- I'd usually go in my normal clothes so I've no idea what to wear now! It's followed by my office party, but luckily the dress I plan to wear is a skater cut so should hopefully be ok! Grin

rose that's really frustrating about your harmony results, did they give any reason why they're inconclusive? I had to scroll back a few pages to remind myself you'd had a harmony, was it just for reassurance or did you also have concerns about risk factor? Sorry you've got another week yo wait, I can totally feel your pain right now as I won't get my Iona results until Thursday. Waiting sucks.

MoonlightMojitos · 09/12/2016 17:53

Haven't had a chance to catch up properly yet but just wanted to quickly say thinking of you dizzy and hope everything comes back all ok next week x

I was sick this morning for first time in weeks! I did wake up starving at 5am though but couldn't be bothered to get up so I think that's why I was sick when I got up at 7, that'll teach me!

My belly is definately a visible bump now! Wasn't expecting it this early thought I'd have another month or so yet but a few people have actually commented! It literally popped out at the beginning of the week.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Can't recommend sainsburys jeggings enough Dizzy if you want an inbetween option. £12.50, skinny fit and comfy if you get one size up. Working for me anyway! Also waiting until after scan on Tuesday to make any serious purchases!

MrsPotatoHead80 · 09/12/2016 19:16

It was me Rose. I had my blood retaken on Wednesday.
My sister used to work in a genetics lab & said when this kind of thing happens it tends to be because the blood has been left too long & has clotted.
Doesn't make it any easier having to wait an extra week though x

DizzyNorthernBird · 09/12/2016 19:24

catlady sounds like a bargain! The problem with leggings/jeggings though is I'd need to buy some baggy tops to go over them (I'm too old to have my arse on display. Although I do have a good arse even if I do say so myself Wink Grin ) God I'm a tightarse likewise I'd love to be like my sis and just wear maternity leggings or tight with a dress....but that means buying a dress!! Lol. One thing I haven't tried yet is the old hairband looped around the button trick. I must give it a go just to tide me over this uncertain period.

Ooh I also hear sainsburys do good maternity bras cheaply too.

mojitos I've been feeling sick the last couple of days too. Not nauseous as such but a bit retchy/gaggy etc. I also find I feel more nauseous if I don't eat too, which is why I'm piling on the lbs!

Sixisthemagicnumber · 09/12/2016 20:10

just check the clothes properly if buying second hand maternity clothes as I know people say that they are hardly worn (which makes sense) but actually they get worn loads. You tend to limit what you buy so you are constantly washing and wearing what you do have and at the end of pregnancy they can get stretched quite a bit leaving them looking worse for wear.
I got rid of all mat Clothes after dc3 so I need to buy all new stuff but waiting until after my scan next week.

DizzyNorthernBird · 09/12/2016 20:13

Good tip six. I know I'm intending to buy as little as I can get away with and wear the hell out of it all!

MoonlightMojitos · 09/12/2016 20:14

dizzy I've put on a stone already...! I read it should only be about 4lbs by now! I'm hoping this second trimester I won't out on much/any more and level out by month 6/7 haha. I got maternity jeggings from new look (2 pairs!) And they're very thick (like thin jeans) rather than a cotton like leggings the only difference is they're stretchy over bump ones with no zip so you can definately wear them with a normal top!

Blueskyrain · 09/12/2016 20:18

I'm feeling so smug about maternity clothes. My best friend who is due in a month is the same size as me and one of the first things she mentioned when I told her I was pregnant was that I could have her clothes. She's done a LOT of shopping!! I'm hoping she'll be out of hers just about the time I need to get into them :-D

(12 weeks)

adlertippa · 09/12/2016 20:28

Ah missisbee, sounds like you had a crap week! I hope you can have a nicer weekend... anyone doing anything nice this weekend or are you all knackered and looking forward to doing as little as possible?

I'm on my last run of shifts, two more in the next couple of days then hoping to break the news to work after my scan next week. I was dreading work after spending nearly all of my recent annual leave in bed, but it's actually been ok. I had a cafetiere of half-caff coffee on station this morning after 3 months of minimal caffeine, it was great. Haven't talked so much in weeks.

12 weeks tomorrow! It seemed so far off when I got my BFP at 4 weeks!

VeganMama83 · 09/12/2016 21:22

Hello everyone! Another tiring overtime shift at 5am this morning after 3 hours sleep! Nausea back again and have hardly eaten since lunch yet feel so full up! My bump is so obvious but still trying to hide it!
