Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
lisjane2 · 16/02/2007 21:46

oohhhh pizza and Ben and Jerry's!! why go out when all the fun is at home!!!???
Diva - i wish he wouldn't go out, its been at the heart of many arugments but he likes to be one of the lads and to go out. ohh even though i'm to big for 'certain things' lately but .... i wonder if anyone else has had this happen?!!!... well i caught him... having abit of fun with himself!! i thought it very funny and he didn't admit what he was actually doing till a week later.

lisjane2 · 16/02/2007 21:49

Rosy - same as!! I keep telling him that by August (my birthday) that i will of lost my baby weight and will look stunning and he'll be grateful he has bagged such a young woman!!

rosylonginglily · 16/02/2007 21:55

lol

divastropwantstodrop · 16/02/2007 22:00

lisjane-have you seen this thread?

(sorry mossy)

foxabout2pop · 16/02/2007 22:28

Diva - I saw that thread

I could murder a tube of ice cream right now

Why go out when there are two episodes of Dr Who on BBC3 followed by Little Britain, followed by East Enders?

Ay, I'm a sad old cow

lisjane2 · 16/02/2007 23:41

i just read that thread!! glad i'm not the only one, i don't mind him doing it, but it didn't turn me on. i couldn't stop laughing really, not nice i know but he was having a bath and when i walked in he was leaning over the bath!!?? and he kept on for days that he was just cleaning it!!??? it wasn't till i told him i wasn't going to go near him if it did 'that' when his cleaning it and that there must be something wrong!! that he admited he was having a wank.
I just think its better he does that with himself than want to find another woman.
His still not back from the bloody pub though! not that i'm doing anything, apart from now trying to hide the pizza box and ice cream tub!!!

eidsvold · 17/02/2007 02:41

wow - so many messages to catch up with.

Mossy - fab news on the natwest front

Foxy - welcome to maternity leave ( although dh says I have been on maternity leave since mid 2004 - when we emigrated from UK and I was 20 weeks pregnant with no2)

Big changes here in our house - will link to the other thread... my baby has gone and gotten all grown up all of a sudden.

here

not much else happening on this side of the world - just taking it easy as much as I can before no3 arrives.

Sleeping - two pillows for my head and a boomerang pillow below my bump and between my legs..... got mild spd and sciatica so turning over in bed is a nightmare.

foxabout2pop · 17/02/2007 07:24

Morning Eids and everyone

Like the thread - I just wish DS1 was that independent

I got 7 hours sleep last night which is brilliant!! Only got up once to go to the loo - instead of the normal 5 times. I feel great now . Thanks for all the advice on the pillows Kitty - think that's what did it

This morning I've got what I thought would be my last social event - aboyt 6 MN mums coming over to swap fave books. The house is a tip but I can't tidy it due to my spd (honestly!!!!). On Thursday the "gang" have arranged to go to Bocketts Farm and Paddlechicks is insisting on driving the kids and I so I don't have to drive .

Such a nice bunch - not internet wierdos at all LOL!!

R most people on half term now?

TheBlonde - your DP must find cleaning a real turn on - I think you should capitalise on that!

TheBlonde · 17/02/2007 07:39

Foxy - I think you meant lisjane2 not me!!

boredwithwaitingforminiMOSSY · 17/02/2007 08:00

Lisjane, hope you enjoyed your ice cream last night! My dh is a bit too scared to go out atm in case I go into labour early! Having said that we've hardly been out at all since I got pg anyway. Dh doesn't go out much with his mates, just very occasionally; we tend to go out together.

Diva that thread was quite funny! Are you looking forward to being 30 btw? I'll be honest I can't wait, I think in my head I've been 30 for the last two years anyway it'll be nice to make it official!!

Eids that is lovely your dd1 is growing up! And does that mean now you won't get her lovely long hair cut short?

Foxy get you with a social life! Having said that, now dh & I don't have the cash flow problem I might suggest going out to Liverpool once the money comes through. During the day of course though, don't think I could cope with an evening out! Glad you got some sleep.

Dolly your poor hands!! Hope you are all right.

Booboo it's good your gp is being supportive over your home birth.

Kitty, yes it will just be you and me on here at the bitter end!!! But I'm stubborn and I won't join the April thread no matter how far over I go! lol

Had a bit of a nasty surprise this morning, woke up and my right leg had completely seized up! And when I tried to straighten it, it hurt! It took a good fifteen minutes to loosen up again. I have been lucky in avoiding cramp before now I suppose. Does anyone know anything to avoid it?

Well I have to go and get dressed and ready for my driving lesson. I never feel like the weekend has started until my lesson is over!

OP posts:
foxabout2pop · 17/02/2007 08:10

Mossy - I wish I knew a cure for leg cramp - its horrible isn't it? You must have slept on it or something.

TheBlonde - ooops!!! Hope you don't go accusing your DP of wanking over the bath now

Lizjane - I meant your DP of course!

rosylonginglily · 17/02/2007 08:17

ooh unfortunately I'm hobbling this morning with spd
Fortunately like you fox I had a nice sleep
Unfortunately ds1 is away with his dad this weekend and I really miss him
Fortunately I can go and annoy my sister later

Moss I think more fluids can help with cramp.

Lisjane you are due end of march? You'll have to keep Kitty and Moss company, I'll probably be around still too, I'll probably go really overdue waiting for dh to come back from Pakistan and the baby will come out all wrinkly!
Anyway once we've popped won't we still be here moaning about sore nipples, sore ladybits, annoying men and sleepless nights?
I'll certainly still be here once I work out how to breastfeed and type at the same time! hee hee.

boredwithwaitingforminiMOSSY · 17/02/2007 08:37

Rosy you poor thing, sorry you're hobbling!

More fluids - well, if it's a choice between that horrible cramp, and getting up to wee more often, it'll be the latter - I'll try it!

Foxy you can't just go around accusing everyone's dp/dh of wanking into baths you know.

Right better go and put some clothes on and dry my hair ready for driving around and reversing into bays etc.

OP posts:
kittywaitsfornumber6 · 17/02/2007 08:44

Foxy, really pleased you had a goodnight'sleep

That's a strange place to have a wank, standing over the bath, isn't it? saying that, what would I know .

Rightoff for a bath now. Does anyone else here get awful back ache bending over and washing hair? We haven't got a working shower, even though there are three in the house (long story)

rosylonginglily · 17/02/2007 08:55

Over the bath seems the tidiest way to do it I would have thought Never caught my dh at it, he's too lazy I reckon...I probably do it more than he does!

I've just noticed my feet/ankles are swollen, first time I've noticed that this time.

eidsvold · 17/02/2007 09:42

sometimes get the odd leg cramp during the night but it seems to resolve itself.

No I will not be cutting her lovely long hair. It really suits her having long hair and like her mother she hates having hair in her face - easy way to solve that is to put it up.

I am booked in for c-section on 23rd Mar lisjane although my due date was 30th Mar. If this one was anything like dd2 - I would be in April too - dd2 was 10 days late ( and a c-section eventually)

foxabout2pop · 17/02/2007 10:09

Kitty:

hee hee

foxabout2pop · 17/02/2007 10:10

Oooops - DS just read aloud my last post !!!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 17/02/2007 10:11

sadly, as usual my bath was invaded by alot of small people. Don't know where they came from

kiwibella · 17/02/2007 10:28

hehe Rosy... typing and breastfeeding?!? I'm sure it can be done . I was thinking similarly this morning - finishing loading my cd's on to my ipod after the baby has arrived.

I have had a peek at both eids thread (too coot) and the wanking thread. Hmmmm... the things you read here!! It's funny that some men would do it and then feel embarrassed when caught.

Poor Mossy and Rosy with your aches and pains. I'm sure that Rosy is right - we'll be back here with other complaints soon enough.

... almost 39 weeks . I got a lovely voucher for a massage from my Mummy yesterday (via my sister because my Mum is miles away ). I'm going to make a booking and add a few more treatments to the list.

Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend planned. Enjoy your book swap Fox - hope you exchange some good titles.

rosylonginglily · 17/02/2007 10:30

Hee hee yes I was going to suggest Kitty that you do it in the bath instead of over the bath to save your back but then I started to get confused

muppetisacat · 17/02/2007 10:49

Morning ladies.

I know it's been discussed b4 but can someone remind me of what is the best nursing pillow to get?

Foxy - don't you have one. Never used them b4 but they seem like such a good idea - specially if i do have to have this c-section in 12 days....

37+1

lisjane2 · 17/02/2007 11:59

morning,
i breast fed with the v shaped pillow as it hugs your body abit and you don't have to re-adjust.
OH is having a bath, don't know if i want to go in there!! he was kinda leaning on the sink last time, i've joked to him that if it's bathrooms that do it for him then maybe he would like a trip to B&Q, a little treat for him!! surprisingly his not finding me funny!!!

rosylonginglily · 17/02/2007 12:11

Lisjane you are a cruel, cruel woman

I have never bothered with getting a special pillow, think I just grab any old pillow/cushion that's around if need be...can't remember maybe I should get one though, sounds like everyone who has one swears by it for feeding comfortably...

spongecake · 17/02/2007 12:26

hi all, thx for the bh advice- its ok rosy am not scared I just practised my breathing and forced myself not to panic and call dp slept all night with only 5 trips to loo, so v happy today.

parents on way here, dp gone to station to get them. hope mum is nice and doesn't prowl the house as though undercover for the housework police dad will just sit on sofa nearest door and stare at my HUGE bump. he will have his fingers crossed I don't go into labour hope bh don't spark up

have a good day!
