We maxed out our last thread before starting a new one.
I'm not savvy like kitkat so can't post our list either! Hopefully there will be some ba's before this thread is completed.

Yes I am Apple, I have struggled with eating enough as my appetite has been really small throughout the pregnancy. I weigh less now that I did before I was pregnant, and I wasn't overweight so it could be that my body is trying to pack the pounds on for the last few weeks of pregnancy!

Were you diagnosed fairly early on?

AppleMagic · 16/11/2016 00:11

Mine doesn't really go away in between pregnancies sadly. In the UK I was considered prediabetic (ie getting towards type 2) but now I live in the US they think maybe I have MODY diabetes which isn't really type 1 or type 2 as I don't fit the profile for either. My levels aren't high enough to need treatment when not pregnant but because the levels are stricter in pregnancy I've gone straight onto insulin from getting my bfp Sad.

barkingtreefrog · 16/11/2016 04:54

tip I keep waking up in the night hungry, like right now!!! It's like I need to keep eating at intervals and the gap between what I eat before bed and then breakfast is just too big!!
I'm definitely eating more than I have done throughout.

Got my 36 week scan and consultant appointment today. Hoping I can get more info on the c section, like how long beforehand do I need to be at the hospital, when I'll know what time to be in, what visiting hours are (ie how soon my mum is able to visit) etc. Two weeks on Friday, seems so far yet so very close!!

DartmoorDoughnut · 16/11/2016 05:19

Morning!

DS woke me up at half 4 climbing into bed bless him, he's fast asleep, as is DH, but I'm lying here thinking of all the jobs I could be doing Grin I also really want to go and make some pancake batter ....

StubbleTurnips · 16/11/2016 07:36

Hope you managed to get back to sleep dartmoor - DD snuck in with us at the same time, and then had a nappy leak all over DHs side! I managed to slee through the chaos of that being sorted.

duxb · 16/11/2016 07:53

London I'm 38+4.

Trying desperately to turn this baby round but no idea if I will be able too and I'm concerned my hopes for as calm and as natural a labour as possible will now be scuppered.

Reading up, I didn't know that having an anterior placenta increases the likelihood of a back to back baby. At least she isn't breech!

Hope all are okay

StubbleTurnips · 16/11/2016 09:03

dux will join you in team back to back, spent the whole of last night leant over my birthing ball! He moved when I was on it, by the time I'd gone to bed he'd wriggled back again Hmm

Nojo82 · 16/11/2016 09:13

Ive an anterior placenta but havent a clue wat way he is lying. Got an appointment today so suppose will see then..

stripeyorangesocks71 · 16/11/2016 10:29

Seem to have started suffering with heartburn past couple of nights.. so waking up quite frequently thinking I'm going to be sick. We have gaviscon in as DP suffers occasionally with it but it is awful stuff!! Bleugh.

Hope everyone is doing ok, only 6.5 days of work left after today I cannot wait to finish and not set an alarm!

AppleMagic · 16/11/2016 15:25

I've been having some irregular contractions (actually achey rather than just the Braxton Hicks tightening) since they let me out of hospital yesterday and a bit more bloody show. I'm only 34 weeks and just have a horrible feeling that this is just going to carry on for another month rather than lead to anything.

AppleMagic · 16/11/2016 15:26

Although the last set have all been 8mins apart so maybe...

Bigfam · 16/11/2016 16:26

If they get any closer together I'd give them a call applemagic good luck!

Thanks Bigfam, I was induced with my other two at 38 weeks without any signs of labour so this is all new to me.

Theyre all over the place again now. I think it's probably still false labour which I guess is a good thing as still pretty early so baby could to with a bit more cooking.

Lovewatchingrainfall · 16/11/2016 17:52

If unsure apple then give them a call.

Minispringroll · 16/11/2016 17:53

Oh, this has moved on quickly. Congratulations to everyone, who has already had their little arrival. Grin

All this talk of shows and contractions is making me slightly worried. We've managed to have a look around St Michael's and Weston in the last few days and that already made me think, "Oh shit....I'm not ready for this!!"
Had my 36 week appoinment and everything seems fine. Bump measures spot on but baby isn't engaged, yet. No issues whatsoever, though, which means we are now booked in for the MLU in Bristol.
Braxton Hicks have been quite mild in the last few weeks and not a lot of them, either. Hmm Baby is moving like mad and it's getting rather uncomfortable. He keeps rolling around and has decided to change sides today. My tummy is not used to being battered on that side...Confused

I'm on mat leave and have started to bake things...Grin I made chocolate cupcakes today. They are edible...Grin It's very odd for me to have so much free time. I keep checking my school email to see what's going on. Grin

Nojo82 · 16/11/2016 19:21

Cant believe we have come this far, babies, labour etc.. how exciting..

Had a growth scan today, 34+3 and baby is 5.5lb. Looking like i might have a smaller baby than all my others.

OrianaBanana · 16/11/2016 20:07

The Health visitor is coming tomorrow - I don't know why, but I have biscuits. I should be tidying and hoovering the stairs, but have inexplicably decided to take advice for once and put my feet up. DH, of course, is not tidying or hoovering although to be fair he is putting DS to bed. Assuming the bathroom and kitchen are a bit clean, the HV won't mind will she? We do have biscuits.

SouthDownsSunshine · 16/11/2016 20:09

apple if you're having bloody shows and contractions I'd call triage, especially if you're 34 weeks.

stripeyorangesocks71 · 16/11/2016 20:20

Oriana ours came for a visit last week. She didn't check kitchen, bathroom or anything. I offered tea/coffee and she didn't take it. I guess HC visitors are all different but me and DP scrubbed and cleaned the entire house for her to sit on the sofa for half an hour and give me leaflets.

In other news, I just got back from my 1st nhs antenatal class. Crock of sh1te. Most of it was watching YouTube videos and handing out leaflets which I'd already been given by the HC visitor. Nothing learnt that I'd already read online or on this forum. Bit disappointed really!

OrianaBanana · 16/11/2016 20:24

Thanks stripey - and sorry your class was rubbish. What were the other people there like?

stripeyorangesocks71 · 16/11/2016 20:34

They were quite far along into pregnancy but not sure by how much! DP said he thought I was furthest along from bump sizes. Didn't really get chance to chat with other mums to be either. I'm a bit deflated tbh after looking forward to it!

OrianaBanana · 16/11/2016 20:52

That's a shame - if you go to the next one see if you can chat to any of them - friends at the same baby-stage are often the best thing you get out of these classes.

stripeyorangesocks71 · 16/11/2016 20:54

Thanks I will do, next one is Monday so will try and make and effort to chat and ask questions to other mums to be!

Nojo82 · 16/11/2016 20:58

I got a letter from HV and just put her number on it if I wanted her to visit. Never had this before, not gona bother. DH has been painting today, hopefully he will finish tomorrow. Then im getting him to do the kitchen nxt week..

Definitely gona start going for walks tomorrow. Got an appointment in 3 weeks, really want for the doctor to say that baby is near, walking should hopefully get him engaged..

livelyredjellybean · 16/11/2016 21:30

Is anyone else ridiculously gassy...? Mostly burping! For ref I'm 37 weeks...
