We maxed out our last thread before starting a new one.
I'm not savvy like kitkat so can't post our list either! Hopefully there will be some ba's before this thread is completed.

apple yes it's the same rule here. If DD had to come to hospital with DH I wouldn't want her in the delivery room, I'd simply just want DH a land her to be outside and waiting l, and if it was middle of the night hopefully she could sleep in her buggy. I just fee so nervous of the idea of now having anyone at the actual hospital if something goes wrong....But fingers crossed it won't become an issue for either of us! I also see two kids would be a lot for you to bring along! Have just packed a bag for DD too though with clothes and toys etc to keep her entertained l, in case she has to come along. Lol that you didn't find DH helpful last time, I'm a massive worrywart and DH was like a rock for me through my last labour, massaged me and sat by the pool and held the gas&air mouthpiece.

Have been having loads of period type pains and pressure and feel exhausted so am getting really scared this baby will come early. Am 36 weeks. It's mainly I prefer for my mum to be here to look after DD and also, nothing is ready for the baby! Still waiting for the bed to arrive, go through clothes, get the carrycot out for the pram etc etc.

apple what's decelerations? Never heard of it! Hope it turns out to be okay.

Londonmamabychance · 15/11/2016 18:17

dux how far are you? Am wondering if my baby is also engaged am feeling so much pressure. Don't have a midwife appointment until next week when I will be 37 weeks

StubbleTurnips · 15/11/2016 18:36

Wondered where you'd all gone!! Didn't realise the old thread was full.

How was the carpet fitter and decorator Tip?

StubbleTurnips · 15/11/2016 18:41

Had a bit of a weepy day at my desk (wfh) as I'm panicking about going overdue at Christmas. I really do not want to go overdue, at the consultant I was scanned and he's back to back Sad

Nojo82 · 15/11/2016 18:45

Wat date you due turnips. Im stressing about going over at Christmas too. Or going in christmas day.. def gona ask for a sweep in the run up to then.

StubbleTurnips · 15/11/2016 19:08

The 16th Nojo, I asked the consultant at what date if be induced if over due and he said not until the 30th - so was a little distraught at another 2 weeks pregnant. I was secretly hoping he was still breech so that id have a date for a section.

stripeyorangesocks71 · 15/11/2016 19:40

Checking in! :) can't believe there is another thread already. Getting big now and more uncomfortable each day.. 35+2 today. I'm hoping my wee guy doesn't appear on Christmas Day either!

Nojo82 · 15/11/2016 19:42

turnips that seems quite far over. Is that because they dont do appointments during the holidays. Im due christmas day, im gona get off my backside and start walking..

StubbleTurnips · 15/11/2016 19:44

Nojo that's what I thought, I was 10 days over with DD and then induced. Walking is on the agenda here too Grin - dog was dragged out earlier, that and raspberry leaf tea / pineapple as of the weekend.

Bigfam · 15/11/2016 20:00

I agree lots of walking. Baby is well engaged here & I'm sure that's why!

SouthDownsSunshine, thanks i'm hoping that they listen to me properly too, the itching has moved to the soles of my feet now, so doing everything possible to distract myself form scratching them!!

SouthDownsSunshine · 15/11/2016 20:08

Worth calling up your midwife and mentioning that goinggrey as itchy soles and palms are a sign of the bile thingy. Have you got the menthol cream? Apparently it's the best, and should be kept in the fridge.... (learnt from a mumsnet thread when I had terrible itching a month back!)

Got such painful bh tonight. Constantly tight tummy. Not proper contractions as it's when I move, and it felt better in the bath. But poor baby must be getting a good old squeezing in there!

goinggrey1978 · 15/11/2016 20:15

SouthDownsSunshine, yes that's what the immediate blood test was for yesterday and it came back clear, so i didn't have to go in today, but i do have to go again next monday for repeat blood tests, if it gets unbearable i'll phone them, i got cream yesterday for my belly itching, its called menthol in aqueous cream, hand no itchy palms of hands as of yet!

Grapefruit8 · 15/11/2016 20:25

Im another one who feels sick at the thought of going overdue and possibly giving birth Christmas Day Confused loads of period pains, lower back pain- im 35 weeks today. Don't know what to expect, can't quite believe how soon baby could be here!

TinyTickler · 15/11/2016 20:27

Yeah Christmas Day would not be ideal but given that's my actual due date in taking it that I have a 95% chance of the baby not coming then...

happydays00 · 15/11/2016 20:57

south I'm having exactly the same thing! My BH had slowed down a bit in the past few days but have been fairly constant for the last hour!

Lost more of my plug today too, trying not to get excited (/ terrified at everything I've still not done)

Surf25 · 15/11/2016 21:16

Thanks for new thread, first week of maternity leave here. 31 weeks with ID twins, definitely feeling big now! Hoping to get a date for induction at next week's appointment but we'll see. Will be 36 weeks so should be a few days before Christmas! First task on mat leave is to sort Christmas for the other kids! Then hopefully a declutter...
I understand everyone's anxieties about childcare during labour...it was one of the aspects of having dc3 that I found really hard, just not knowing when it would start. Strangely enough all of my labours have started in the same way in the middle of the night and plans have worked out ok.
Stubble 14 days over does seem later, around here it is usually 11-12 days over that they book you in for. Areas can be so different, not an exact science I guess.

SouthDownsSunshine · 15/11/2016 21:21

My midwife friend says they often have toddler siblings being bought in, and if necessary they'll curl up in the corner. Apparently they're very good at sleeping through all the noise!

In an emergency we'd take dd with us, for grandparents to pick up ASAP.

As long as I don't move the BH are ok! I'm sure baby isn't coming yet, I've had no more of my show, nor a clear out. And it's still a tight feeling across the bump, whereas I remember contractions as being clearly like period pains, and the feeling of needing a poo!

Nojo82 · 15/11/2016 21:21

Oh im getting BH today, haven't had them before - this pregnancy and previous pregnancies.. so all new to me..

SouthDownsSunshine · 15/11/2016 21:49

That's exciting nojo!

I spoke too soon about the clear out (sorry, tmi!).

Lovewatchingrainfall · 15/11/2016 22:15

Does anyone else the horrid taste in the back of their throat? I can not get rid of mine and it's driving me insane.

Nojo82 · 15/11/2016 22:18

Oh south this could be it.. bh are mild so bearable.. oh its all getting very exciting on this group..

Thisisbonkers · 15/11/2016 22:38

I thought I'd lost you all Shock

south do we need to send pushing thoughts your way?

37+2 today. 3 days left in work. Lots of period type pains and it's definitely low when I'm walking. No BH to note. I've come off the iron tablets to try and ease the constipation and piles situation before my feared first post partum poo Blush

TipBoov · 15/11/2016 22:49

Has anyone else started getting extreme hunger pains? I'm limited to what I can eat due to be diabetes, but I've been getting on ok with it. Today though I have never been so hungry! I had my tea followed by ryvita and cheese, and I've just had oatcakes with peanut butter, mixed nuts, cheese and a digestive. I could eat a horse!

happy I lost my plug a couple of weeks ago, still no signs of labour!

AppleMagic · 15/11/2016 23:39

Are you diet controlled Tipboov? The only advantage of being on insulin is that I can eat what I want within reason. This is the first pregnancy I've actually put weight on because I've been on insulin from the start this time.
