We maxed out our last thread before starting a new one.
I'm not savvy like kitkat so can't post our list either! Hopefully there will be some ba's before this thread is completed.

Good morning all, another thread- wow. I'm 38.1 today, not had any show yet Sad. Had a very little bit of slightly greeny discharge yesterday. Could that be a little?
Going to have a cleaning day today, house really needs a clean!

SolomanDaisy · 15/11/2016 10:34

Bigfam, have they taken bloods too? I know it's v unlikely to be hellp syndrome, but I hope they're checking your platelets and liver function just in case!

Bigfam · 15/11/2016 10:51

No soloman. Do they test for those at the 28 week bloods, because mine werent taken til 31 weeks and then had to be retaken at 34 weeks but they were fine.

Place marking, hopefully we see some arrivals on this thread.

37+2 here and very tired, just want this to be done now. Consultant this afternoon so I am hoping they say it won't be long, even if it does end up being a few weeks longer than they say it would be nice to have a closer countdown first Smile.

Nojo82 · 15/11/2016 10:55

theaks i had green discharge yesterday. I called the unit and i was told to go up. Ive got a uti and thrush. They also took a swab which im glad they did, a lot of discharge in there.

goinggrey1978 · 15/11/2016 10:59

Bigfam, she said that she will see how I go, but had to get a 2nd opinion on my thyroid levels and the itching anyway, but it's on my notes now and I'll keep on at them now every time I go, as last night I was actually up every hour, which is not good at all, everything is swollen down there, piles are huge, can't go anywhere unless I know there's a loo to use straight away, it's lucky I have a radar key for disabled toilets too and lucky I receive some benefits too, as I've been relying more on online shopping now as I know what will happen, I was only in Tesco 's for an hour and a half yesterday but was in the loo at least 4 times!

Thank you BigFam for the new thread. Can't wait for all of these babies to start arriving now. It sounds like there are signs for some of you, so fingers crossed.

DD's 6-day weigh in went okay yesterday. Her weight is now 5lb 7oz. Ideally they want her back to her birth weight of 5lb 14oz by her 10-day weight check, so fingers crossed!

Christmasbaby16 · 15/11/2016 12:31

Not really had chance to post much on here until i finished work. I'm only on day 2 and I'm already wondering how to fill my time...I'm not one for sitting and relaxing and I'm fortunate that I still feel really well..i need to keep myself busy!most friends are working full time whilst i am off so limited there, poir dog is getting his legs walked off 3 times daily and we gutted the house st the weekend...I purposely stayed at work until 37 weeks as well Hmm
How are people filling their days if you arevexpecying your first?

Bigfam · 15/11/2016 12:46

Baby is fine, she's just having a lazy day. Ctg picked up two contractions in the 30mins I was hooked up, the second of which I felt.
goinggrey that sounds utterly shit Flowers

goinggrey1978 · 15/11/2016 13:05

Bigfam, yes it sure is which is why i desperately want to be induced, or started off or given a sweep by 38 weeks, there's a family party coming up an hours drive away but at this rate i don't think i'll make it at all, which is sad as it my cousin's daughters 1st birthday, yes i'm wearing pads constantly but it would be so embarrassing to have an accident while i'm out, i even carry a change of clothes in my back pack and in my car just in case, i'm going to tell them all this at my next appointment

barkingtreefrog · 15/11/2016 13:41

Christmasbaby I thought I'd have the same problem but I'm not sleeping so too knackered to do anything most of the time. Today I've managed to sew curtains for two rooms though, just waiting for when DH gets back from work as if I put then up he'll know I've been up the ladder!!!
I've got a long list of jobs I want to get done before baby arrives as I know they're unlikely to get done afterwards!
Trying to get more of my knitted blanket done this afternoon...

Nojo82 · 15/11/2016 14:53

Same here barking ive got jobs for dh to do. Just been out to buy more paint, i need my hall and landing done. Then nxt week he has to do the kitchen. Ive my own stuff to do, this morning i washed all the covers of the sofas. Wish i had the energy to wash the doors..

cnchapmanxx · 15/11/2016 15:30

Place marking!
First day of mat leave and I slept in til 1 😳
That's me not sleeping tonight though saying that I'm exhausted a lot more than I was in the first trimester!

SouthDownsSunshine · 15/11/2016 15:52

Well done mini kitkat on the weight gain :) keep up the good work!

bigfam eeek was it a proper contraction or braxton hicks? Exciting!

goinggrey I really hope they take into account your wider health conditions x

Christmasbaby I'm mostly resting and trying to keep on top of the house. But I've got dd who keeps me busy and tired. Last maternity I caught up with friends, walked, had Xmas (Jan baby), did sewing etc.

Spent the afternoon on the sofa watching cbeebies and peppa with a poorly dd. She's had a horrible cough for ages, over a month. It's really bad today, it's horrible seeing her in pain from coughing :( We took her to the gp a fortnight ago but because she's not had a fever with it, she said it was just viral.

Had my extra midwife appointment this morning for reassurance. All good, baby has grown 1cm so I'm still measuring on a slower curve than before but there's growth. And I'm 2/5 engaged. Midwife went over what I needed to do if I go into labour before my c section date, here's hoping!

mistletoe1 · 15/11/2016 16:58

Hi new thread!

I've also been monitored today with a lazy baby having a duvet day. Little scamp. The work day was a write-off (spent most of the afternoon napping! Think I might be getting a cold too)which is a worry with only 4 weeks to go till DD and probably 8 days of essential work left to still do.

Part of me wishes I was finishing this week but I also know I'd probably go out of my mind with boredom, especially if I go overdue.

Londonmamabychance · 15/11/2016 17:03

Thanks for new thread, bigfam

Apple hope bubba stays put a bit longer! How brave you are that you've come to terms with perhaps having to I've birth alone, how many DC's do you have? My situation is similar as I'm not British and don't have a lot of childcare backup, so if the baby comes before 2 weeks before due date when my mum is here, we agreed DH and DD (2) would come with me to the hospital! Just can't face the prospect of doing it all alone, but also think it's a far from ideal Solution having poor DD potentially roaming around the hospital with DH.

This week is my first on maternity leave, had planned lunches with friends, visit to sling library, yoga and sorting out baby stuff, but of course poor DD for ill Sunday night, sounds like little one South also spend the day on the sofa with her watching CBeebies Grin she's in a terrible mood and so poorly. Did manage to finally pack my hospital bag though, yeah!!! And realised I'm missing a few things, so hope DD gets better soon so Incan go shopping for it.

Christmasbaby16 · 15/11/2016 17:04

south- hope she gets better soon Chocolate

Spent the afternoon "helping" supervising husband power washing Wink

AppleMagic · 15/11/2016 17:10

London my OB said that sometimes people bring their kids into the actual labour room here in the US if things happen in the middle of the night. It's allowed as long as there is another adult present. I have a 4 and a 2year old and I'm really, really not keen on the idea as they're old enough to be worried that I'm in pain.

As it turns out I'm back at the maternity hospital for an entirely different reason as I was having decelerations on the monitor this morning. Seems so odd that I didn't even have these weekly tests in the UK and twice now I've "failed" them and had to go to hospital. I'm waiting for a biophysical profile scan to check nothing is wrong. DH is heading to the airport as kids need picking up in 6hrs or so!

AppleMagic · 15/11/2016 17:14

Also I didn't find having DH with me particularly helpful in my last two labours. He just ate stuff (I was nil by mouth so this was particularly annoying) and looked worried.

OrianaBanana · 15/11/2016 17:22

I may also have my baby on my own Apple, especially if she comes on Xmas day (my family are spending it up north). I am not so fussed myself, although DH wants to be at the birth. Knowing I can do it on my own if need be stops me stressing about things beyond my control like who is going to look after DS if my waters break on Xmas eve.

And yes, last time he mostly just nicked my gas and air (I wasn't using it at the time) and got upset about what a huge responsibility having a DC was.

duxb · 15/11/2016 17:40

Back from midwife, baby is engaged (she couldn't move her head at all) but is back to back. So will spend the next few days trying to get her to turn.

Other than that she said she was in position and could come anytime and reminded me of the signs to look out for and when to call triage if worried or the labour ward etc.

No wonder my back ache has been terrible!

AppleMagic · 15/11/2016 17:41

Haha yep, DH definitely things his presence is a lot more vital than I do. I think psychologically knowing that the DC are ok would be more helpful.

It'll only happen in an emergency though because I had a scare in my last labour and the midwife made him press the panic button so I think he's worried the worst could happen and he wouldn't be there.

(I should add that in the end I was fine, I just passed out because I dilated 6cm in about 10mins with only g&a and it was a bit painful!)

AppleMagic · 15/11/2016 17:43

I'm sat in a wheelchair in a corridor waiting for my scan. It's just like the NHS (except previous experience suggests they will bill my insurance for at least $2k for the visit).

Bumplovin · 15/11/2016 17:46

bigfam I had 6 surges in 45 minutes last time I was there but ive not felt a single one since!!
