We maxed out our last thread before starting a new one.
I'm not savvy like kitkat so can't post our list either! Hopefully there will be some ba's before this thread is completed.

They may start off as being uncomfortable but will end up being painful, so keep an eye on it. I do hope it's the start of things for you springroll

Baby is full of a bloody cold, I know it's something that can't be helped but it's really pissed me off. She's only 9 days old and sounds like a pig snorting away Sad

Londonmamabychance · 13/12/2016 18:32

Oh exciting,Mini! Hope its the start of something for you.
Oriana when are you due?
Oh no. bigfam baby caught a cold already, it's hard to avoid it though this time a year and especially with siblings bringing home germs! Am expecting my little one to take on quite a few nursery bugs from DD too, once he's here!

Dueindecember2016 · 13/12/2016 19:30

How are you all feeling? I have a sweep booked in for my due date on 23rd December.

I had some pains last night which woke me up about 4am, I felt awful. They died down though 👎🏻

OrianaBanana · 13/12/2016 20:28

EDD is 16th december Londonmama but as DS was 42 weeks and induced I'm expecting at least some degree of lateness! Mw asked if I wanted a sweep booked for 40w and I declined (my last and only one with DS was horrendous) but if it means baby coming while we have childcare and before Xmas I might well give it a go...

Any news mini ?

Princesspinkgirl · 13/12/2016 20:42

Due December 25th Xmas Smile

Popskipiekin · 13/12/2016 20:52

surf congratulations!!! Hope you you get to hold your boys lots more very soon. Great work with the hand expressing.
bigfam that's rubbish about baby having a cold already. I'm dreading that - inevitable with perma-snotty big brother I suppose...

Bigfam · 13/12/2016 21:34

Congratulations surf good going with the feeding, there's no way at all I could handle that. Hope they're improving daily and you can all be home together soon.
I know it's pretty much unavoidable, I did try my best to keep the snotty ones away but they do love their little baby sister, ds has come around to the fact he's got 4 sisters to look out for! 😀

So, following my sweep on Friday and the concerns i had re: plug or waters?

Contractions started on Saturday morning at 2am. Increased to the 3 in 10 required by triage. Sent home. Can't remember why we went back, but contractions were up to 3 in 10 again, only i was still only 2cm dilated. Admitted over night due to pain and needing serious relief. Sent home Sunday morning as the diamorphine had all but stopped them. They ramped up again and waters broke at about 11pm. So in we go again. 2cm dilated. I may have cried. Readmitted for pain relief only the diamorphine did nothing. Reexamined, 4cm! Woo. Told to ring DP and bring him back, we were headed to birth centre. Lovely, lovely midwife there filled the pool, did various bits and pieces. Checked me again and no further on. Had gas and air for pain relief. Way into Monday by this point, gas and air not touching the pain, only real option is for an epidural. Spend most of yesterday uncomfortable as was all wired up. Nothing proceeding. Put on a syntocin drip. Really regular and intense contractions but no progress. Doctor is called in and an emergency c section was declared yesterday tea time. An utterly awful 60+ hours of labour resulting in surgery. But I have a baby boy and he's utterly gorgeous ❤️ He was 9lb and had got stuck 😥

TL:DR
An utterly awful 60+ hours of labour resulting in surgery. But I have a baby boy and he's utterly gorgeous.

Thisisbonkers · 13/12/2016 22:53

Many congratulations to all other new mums over the weekend!

kittyscot81 · 13/12/2016 23:13

Congratulations bonkers! 60 hours Omg. mini I am now 3 days overdue and you have described my exact symptoms! Had back ache and period cramps bad enough to keep me awake at night but not consistent. Today I've been doing some housework and noticed when I was moving around my bump felt like s boulder and tight but no pain. Wondering if it's an early sign!

Londonmamabychance · 14/12/2016 09:48

Am now 2 days overdu and haven't really slept for the last two days. Am an emotional wreck and have been crying all morning. Just don't think I can handle this much longer, am really loosing it.

Congrats, Bonkers v happy for you although that birth experience does sound horrifying! Poor you. Hope you recover quickly, and are enjoying your baby!

Londonmamabychance · 14/12/2016 09:51

I wish there was a way to take my mind off the pregnancy, but it's really hard to do other things when I feel so huge and uncomfortable. When I ventured further away from the house on Monday I felt quite unsettled and worried that something could start.

Popskipiekin · 14/12/2016 10:34

Omg bonkers that is a marathon!! Poor you and babybonkers though he looks none the worse for it :) That's going to take some recovery for you, I'm sure. Do be very very very kind to yourself!
So sorry for all those going over and miserable with the waiting. I know this is going to sound like an enviable position to be in but I am actually so comfortable, it's annoying! I wish I could get to the heavily pregnant stage as I feel that might mean something was going to happen. As it is I'm just toddling normally about my days, barely feel pregnant. Grrrrr. And now I'm worried maybe I'm only so comfortable because baby isn't big enough... midwife appointment tomorrow fortunately, can't wait.

Wow Bonkers. 60 hours! You poor thing. I hope you recover quickly. xx

Sorry for all of you who are overdue and frustrated. xx I'm offering you some virtual Cake

Thisisbonkers · 14/12/2016 11:46

Popskin I hate to say it, but I was business as usual (uncomfortable but still doing my daily tasks!) until I went into labour, I wasn't expecting a biggun'...

Bigfam · 14/12/2016 12:13

Congratulations bonkers he's gorgeous.
And here I was after 5 hours thinking my labour was tough, bloody hell. I've had 5 and in total still haven't laboured for 60 hours Shock
How are you still sane?? Well done though and I hope you get some (much deserved) rest.

Congrats to new arrivals!!

Pop how's your DS?

Hope all those in poorly households are getting better.

Bonkers what a long labour! Take things easy and do not be railroaded into a million visitors.

I thought we were starting last night - 2hrs of fairly regular BH, which buggered off after I got out of bed Hmm Sweep on Friday for me, although it did sod all last time.

Babydreaming · 14/12/2016 13:24

Hey, sorry I haven't posted! My little boy was born 1 week ago, 7lb exactly :) Baby Henry. Throughout my pregnancy scans showed that he was small for gestational age with small long bones and they suspected a skeletal dysplasia, chromosomal issue or placental insufficiency it caused me so much stress. Well turns out he is a healthy little boy and perfectly in proportion!! I'm so annoyed I was put through all that stress and the amniocentesis, but so relieved that he is a healthy baby boy 😊

My labour was ridiculously quick! I went for a sweep on Wednesday morning and had cramps on/off all day. I started to feel like I was going into labour overnight but midwives advised me to stay at home. I came in at 4.30am as pain was becoming intense. I was told I was 5cm so admitted around 5am. Straight after they examined me my waters broke and I felt the urge to push so they re-examined and said I was fully dilated! It was too late for any pain relief so I just had a bit of gas and air and we pushed until his arrival at 6.10am! I thought 1st labours always take forever so didn't want to go in too soon but on reflection think I left it a bit late..think the midwives were quite stressed as we started pushing basically straight away!

Bigfam · 14/12/2016 15:00

Congratulations babydreaming fantastic news that your little boy is perfect and healthy, sorry you went through all that worry. Flowers
I hope your next sweep works stubble

Congratulations Bonkers and Babydreaming. Smile Flowers

Everything seems to still be calm on my end. It's rather irritating. London I know how you feel. I actually burst into tears in my last midwife appointment. I just want him out! Does anyone know when they'd start thinking about induction? Can I ask to be induced, if he doesn't get his backside into gear by himself? My 41 week appoinment is on the weekend and my family are all flying over the following Friday. I'm getting increasingly anxious about the delay (partly because I nearly died at birth because my mum's placenta wasn't working properly...so I worry constantly when the baby isn't moving. I actually woke him up this morning...Hmm,...also because of the last two losses, it just feels like we aren't meant to have a baby and I'm terrified that something will go wrong so close to the finish line...I actually think I'm managed quite well to keep it together and remain calm during the last few months).

Went for a walk to the corner shop today. It was a very slow and very long walk. We live in the middle of nowhere and the shop is about 2 miles from our house,...I was so tired by the time we got back. Any other ideas on how I can get this baby out?

StubbleTurnips · 14/12/2016 17:26

mini depends on your hospital and midwife, mine would not agree to early induction - so have one booked for 40+12 which is standard. I've resigned myself to him coming on induction date on the 28th.

Bumbleclat · 14/12/2016 20:36

Congratulations Bonkers and Babydreaming

mini I know how you feel it's so hard all this worry at the end I wake mine up too!

I've been a bit worried this week about possible GD, I am 39 weeks and each time I eat, Ive had a sudden energy crash.

Admittedly, I've just been eating what I fancy, I find after sugary things like fruit and fruit juice it's much worse, this sort of deep deep tiredness comes over me which makes me fall asleep in the middle of the day for a few hours and when I wake up I'm all red in the face and feel as though I've been under a sedative.

I'm planning a home birth and have the pool and everything set up. I really don't want them to panic and induce me, I just want the baby to come when she's ready but I also don't want to be irresponsible.

All my urine tests (weekly) have shown no sugar or ketones so I'm confused as to what to do. Confused

Popskipiekin · 14/12/2016 21:55

Stubble DS is better thank you! A couple of sleepless nights for us but think we're over it and thank heavens doesn't seem to have infected anyone else, can't have been dreaded noro. MIL coming tomorrow to look after him so I can sleep.
Sorry your last sweep came to nothing Angry I have my first tomorrow and dreading mw telling me that my cervix is unfavourable...

babydreaming congratulations on your perfect baby Henry! These scans seem a bit of a guessing game sometimes...what a lot of stress but the best outcome :)

Bigfam · 14/12/2016 22:22

Good news your ds is better pops and what a bonus that it wasn't catching.

For anyone that's bought the perfect prep machine, apparently it was on watchdog earlier. I missed it, but will be watching it when it's available on catch-up. From what I've heard they're basically saying the filter lets in bacteria if it's only changed every 6 months. (I was already planning on changing ours between every 8-12 weeks anyway) Romy's 11 days old now and it's been a life saver every day and night so far, I can remember how torturous it was waiting for a feed to cool down at 2am with a screaming newborn from when my 2yo was a baby. I think like with all baby feeding equipment, you just have to be extra vigilant about keeping everything clean and decide for yourself whether you feel comfortable using one.
