We maxed out our last thread before starting a new one.
I'm not savvy like kitkat so can't post our list either! Hopefully there will be some ba's before this thread is completed.

Congratulations to all the new arrivals!

Mini Apple has been home a week now. He was weighed this morning and is now 6lbs and can fit in newborn clothes instead of preemie. I've spent this week moving him from 100% bottles to 100% breastfeeding as I was so fed up of pumping/sterilising. He's doing so well but no longer keeping to the lovely three hour routine they had him on in the NICU. I've got a bit of cabin fever as its between -9 and -15 here this week so we've been stuck in as I don't drive.

SouthDownsSunshine · 08/12/2016 18:56

apple I'm really missing the strict 3 hour NICU regime as well! I like a routine, but it doesn't fit with family life!

bigfam the high calorie milk is prescribed for babies that need to gain weight. Because of dd's heart problem she consumes more energy doing anything, so needs more.

Bigfam · 08/12/2016 19:04

I was actually told to feed on demand and that's with formula (but to keep the 3/4 hour guideline in mind)
Bless babysouth is she still having treatment for jaundice, How's your eldest dd getting on as well?

Oh no, rainfall that's bad timing with the move but you'll be okay! Try to focus on the baby for now, and like someone else said, ask for /pay for as much help as you possibly can with the move. Hope it goes well with checking out baby's movements.

Growingbean my DD went through a phase of sudden clinging and not being happy at nursery about a month ago, was so worried but they said it was probably justified. SHe felt a change coming, and r pass within a week. Now she's really happy there again.

minispring hope your DH is ok and getting better!

GP couldn't prescribe me anything for the piles just said they will go after I give birth Sad but listening to some of you on here doesn't sound like it! Will try to get Epsom salt haven't tried that yet.

SouthDownsSunshine · 08/12/2016 19:11

I have to feed at least every 3 hours, dd doesn't wake for most of her feeds! I know that's a dream for most parents but it's unnerving! My eldest daughter is ok thanks, we have several meltdowns a day, but I expected that.

Londonmamabychance · 08/12/2016 19:12

Meant to say they said it was probably justified that she felt a change coming

Londonmamabychance · 08/12/2016 19:12

Arg, just, not justified! Autocorrect

SolomanDaisy · 08/12/2016 20:08

I miss the three hour NICU routine too! I wanted to try and stick to it, but I think dd must be having a growth spurt, she's basically been feeding all day today. She could do with a growth spurt though!

DartmoorDoughnut · 08/12/2016 22:05

Hope everyone is ok, will try and catch up!

We're now home, feeding going well and DS is very happy with his new little brother and keeps kissing him, if we're ever daft enough to do this again I'll wait til home time to introduce them!

Popskipiekin · 08/12/2016 23:57

Aww that's lovely Dartmoor. How old is your DS1? Wondering if we should save the meeting between our two for home as well.

Am up with our DS1 who is ill. As am I. Seems a particularly bad winter for bugs. Or perhaps each winter is just the same and we forget how bad it is! Come soon baby but maybe not tomorrow as I'm going to be shattered...

DartmoorDoughnut · 09/12/2016 00:51

He's 2 and 3 months pops think the visiting times didn't help as it was nap time and it was all too much for him. As soon as we came through the door at home he was all over his brother!

Really hope everyone is ok, not managed to catch up despite being stuck under DS2 for the last 3hrs, I LOVE bf'ing, honest Grin

Bigfam · 09/12/2016 00:59

I've got to agree about the bugs pop dd2 won't be going to school tomorrow because she's picked up a diarrhoea bug that's giving her cramps. None of the kids have really had a chance to kiss the baby because they've all got that awful virus that had Dd3 in hospital last week... Bloody nightmare.
Hope both you & your ds are on the mend soon

Hope you're both doing well 😄

Congratulations Jfw82 I hope your ok and Owen's early arrival wasn't too traumatic. He's lovely!

Growingbeanno2 · 09/12/2016 07:01

Wow quiet night!! I posted a link on the fb page about baby stomach and feeding. I'll try to post here, it may help.

Has anyone got the wonder weeks app? I remembered it in the middle of the night and will be downloading again as it was amazing last time!!

Growingbeanno2 · 09/12/2016 07:04

Here goes

DartmoorDoughnut · 09/12/2016 07:50

It's all good bigfam just the normal pain of establishing and the boredom of being stuck under a newborn, plus WHY do they always want to feed at night?!

StubbleTurnips · 09/12/2016 08:23

growing wonder weeks book was better than the app, it was very accurate for DD.

How's everyone getting on? I've got low level back ache and am very grumpy today.

DD has been up half the night with tummy ache and wouldn't stop thrashing about being a drama queen.

Bigfam · 09/12/2016 08:29

I swear they're nocturnal. She's definitely awake longer at night, I do love sitting and staring when she's feeding though 😍

Thisisbonkers · 09/12/2016 12:44

Well that's my first sweep over and done with! Cervix is 1cm dilated already and, although still thick, it's soft. And she could feel baby's head which seems really weird Confused but hopefully it will get things moving!

Bigfam · 09/12/2016 13:02

Get bouncing (if you have a ball) or laps up and down the stairs bonkers I've got a feeling your going to have a 👶 soon!

OP posts:
Thisisbonkers · 09/12/2016 13:51

Have sat on my ball since coming home, am about to do some cleaning (we have visitors tomorrow if nothing happens!) and still need to muck out the horse's stable!
