We maxed out our last thread before starting a new one.
I'm not savvy like kitkat so can't post our list either! Hopefully there will be some ba's before this thread is completed.

kitty I've been wondering the same - I don't think they'd burn so I think I'll give it a try. - although I did use ice packs on that whole area during pregnancy because of varicose veins on labia (which is just as gross as it sounds!) and it does mean when you go for a wee after the heat of that on the cold makes it feel a bit weird and sometimes slightly stingy.

Still think it's worth a try though, my stitches are ok but quite swollen feeling so cold seems Iike it'll be helpful. What were you going to use on yours, witch hazel or essential oils?

Brisgirl · 08/12/2016 00:47

Baby Bris arrived at 16:46 weighing 6lb 7oz. Lovely calm C section after waiting around all day because of emergencies and she's feeding like a champ so far!

Congratulations bris She's beautiful.

nojo where have you gotten to? Last time you posted you were having on/off pains.
So apparently my bum could handle miss next-door squeezing out a little head but couldn't handle when I took my first pooh after giving birth (sorry tmi) and has now developed the worst piles on this God given earth. Sitting, walking, laying down is all complete agony. Other than hemorrhoid cream, what else can I do?

Chookchick · 08/12/2016 05:40

Congratulations Bris She is scrumptious!! We were originally due date mates, but here I am still waiting! Super she is feeding well.

Bigfam I had no idea that could happen, I'm so gutted for you. I hope they magically retreat and you can get comfy

nightcap · 08/12/2016 06:09

Well done bris, what a cutie!

bigfam that sounds awful! Ice is all I can think of that might help, also I've been having short baths (10 mins or less so as not to dissolve stitches) with a couple of drops of tea tree oil in. Not sure if that would help piles but at least keeps things feeling clean. Hope it improves soon.

I still haven't had the first poo, am dreading it and guzzling lactulose!

Bigfam · 08/12/2016 07:44

I'm gutted, I thought I'd actually got through without them becoming a problem (I have piles constantly, but most of the time they don't cause any problems) I can hardly.walk and my boobs are so uncomfortable at night. 😥 thank God the after pains were manageable or I'd be completely hanging! 😀

bigfam yesterday i thought something was gona happen as i had a lot of pressure down below and could barely walk. Kept running to toilet to pee. But only a few contractions yesterday. Was at consultant yesterday and she said thats ok, baby is ready to come. Didnt have an internal so no idea. Have woke this morning to not even feeling pregnant at all..

Christmasbaby16 · 08/12/2016 08:53

Bigfam. I share your pain! I have exsct sameprobkem Shock it is more painful than the birth and subsequent stitches. Sounds gross but you can actually push them back in..short term relief until it descends again. Warm baths aren't really doing it for me Blush.
My midwife advised against any cewsm until stitches fully dissolved ad it can interfere with them.

Londonmamabychance · 08/12/2016 10:13

Bigfam and everyone else with piles I know how you feel, sorry you have to suffer! In the exact same. Going to ring GP now and beg for something stronger than anusol that isn't helping at all. Will let you know how it goes! Have been using ice, witch hazel and anusol and baths and paracetamol. Who knows it maybe but worse without these treatments but it's agony as it is! They also say make sure to drink loads of water, avoid caffeine and eat plenty of fibre to avoid constipation.

Minispringroll · 08/12/2016 10:32

Congratulations everyone. I'm trying very hard not to get too jealous. Grin

DH has been admitted to hospital (I do think he's taking this sympathy pregnancy a little too far) and they are considering whether he'll need an operation or not. The nurses and doctors looked at me with slight panic when I took him in and when I visited him this morning. I'm huge, in pain and look like I'm about to burst. Grin Actually hoping baby might stay put until his DF is back home. He's in a different hospital to the one I'm booked in for. Hmm

Bigfam · 08/12/2016 10:39

I can't push mine back in, they're rock solid Sad
On the plus side, midwife has been and said baby is a little jaundiced but she's not worried, she's lost only 6% of her birth weight which is fine & she passed the newborn hearing screening & she has really beautiful skin Smile

How's everyone getting on with their babies and night time feeding/sleep?
I had days like that nojo but you definitely are (pregnant) and the end is so close, hang in there! Same to anyone else feeling put out, hope you're all OK

Oh Mini, that's worrying , what's up

I'm struggling today. Had a crap night sleep again although not worried about symptoms etc. Feed aggitated and worried now as Ds is really unsettled. For most 2 years he has happily skipped into the childminders. But the last couple of days yes been fine going but as I go to leave the gets upset, clings to me and is really sad.
I can't keep him at home as I have daily appointments until the section next week and have little energy and pain free moments to look after him. I feel so useless and sad. Sorry, emotional state!

Any more babies or cuteness?

SouthDownsSunshine · 08/12/2016 12:14

She does look a bit yellow, what colour are the whites of her eyes? Try and leave her in a sunny spot.

Congratulations to all the new arrivals!

excitedmummytob · 08/12/2016 12:38

Any advice...following sweep on Tuesday (due date was Monday) I had a show and since I seem to have been losing my mucas plug gradually/a little a day! No other symptoms apart from getting impatient! Any idea of how much longer??

Lovewatchingrainfall · 08/12/2016 12:50

Stressed today didn't sleep well, and baby a bit quiet today so phoned up and was told that as I have a sweep booked for tomorrow to wait till then.

I then come home from taking DD to doctors for her chest infection to find out that we have to move out of our flat in 5weeks!! Can I really move with a little one??? Stressed. Is not what I need

Bigfam · 08/12/2016 13:06

Thanks south the midwife said she does have a touch of jaundice but doesn't need any treatment, how is babysouth doing?
I haven't got any advice excitedmummy I don't think I've ever lost my plug, or may have done & not realised Confused
If you're really worried rainfall I'd call them back and ask to be seen, if baby isn't moving as normal they shouldn't even be putting you off coming in! Hope your dd is OK, why do you have to move (if you don't mind me asking)?

OP posts:
Lovewatchingrainfall · 08/12/2016 13:44

Thank you bigfam I may call back later. The landlord sold the flat we live in to another relative without telling us and now they want the flat back. Plus it has mould.
I just feel so stressed about it all.

Growingbeanno2 · 08/12/2016 14:07

Oh rainfall what a rotten day.

Priorities..... demand you're seen by midwife, any changes need to be seen within two hours what's my midwife just told me.

Poor DD, calpol and TV.

What does your contract say? It is usually 2months notice and even then they cannot forcibly evict you unless they go to court. But to he on the safe side, I'd get on rightmove.

Moving will be stressful but you'll get through it and be stronger for it. Delegation is your key skill.

First off is the baby and its movements.

Popskipiekin · 08/12/2016 14:56

Yes ^^ everything growingbean says. Go in to get checked rainfall. Surely the correct response to reduced movements is to go in immediately rather than hang on for 12-24 hours as you're coming in anyway. Odd response from mw?

So sorry for all piles sufferers. I think mine have got slightly better through regular Epsom salts baths and always wiping with witch hazel wet wipes, not using paper. I just know they will get worse during the birth through, not looking forward to that.

StubbleTurnips · 08/12/2016 15:07

There must've be something in the air last night as we had an awful one too, DD woke at 4am and wouldn't go back to sleep. We attempted a day out today and it was a miserable affair of tears/howling, we're currently back home and in bed as I got very stressed by it all. Watching toy story.

Forgot who mentioned clinginess at drop off above but we have that too, she must sense a change.

On a different note DD has said baby is coming on Tuesday - so there's something to look forward too!

Growingbeanno2 · 08/12/2016 15:13

Stumble, that's menu poor DS, I'm going to collect him early tomorrow and spoil him!! I just want to be able to play with him again and be normal. Poor bubble.

How's everyone? Mw went well, its my last app due to my elcs next week!! Eeeeek

SouthDownsSunshine · 08/12/2016 16:09

Good that there's only a touch of jaundice bigfam. Dd is good thanks - weight gain has slowed so I expect she'll go onto high calorie milk soon.

kittyscot81 · 08/12/2016 16:59

nightcap l used two spoons of witch hazel (alcohol free), one of cold pressed aloe Vera and a few drops of lavender essential oil. Smells lovely, perhaps I can give myself a weird facial if they don't work downstairs ha!

Bigfam · 08/12/2016 17:12

Thanks south I've not heard of high calorie milk before, but then I guess it's prescribed?
The anusol I bought earlier seems to have helped thank God, the midwife also told me that if you put it under your eyes it removes bags too. Ha, no thanks. Grin

Thisisbonkers · 08/12/2016 17:32

rainfall check your notice period in your contract but the legal statutory notice is two months and that HAS to be given on the period start date. So if you pay your rent on the 5th, for example, they can't give notice on the 8th, or if they do, it doesn't apply until the following period. It's not the stress you need though, big hugs.

Am tired and still pregnant. No further little twinges. Should get a sweep tomorrow at the midwife (will be 40+5).
