We maxed out our last thread before starting a new one.
I'm not savvy like kitkat so can't post our list either! Hopefully there will be some ba's before this thread is completed.

night I didn't mind my induction, and would prefer one again rather than this waiting. I had 3 pessarys in the end, sent me into hyper contractions so ended up with waters being broken and the drip. It took a while so I had an epidural, should've had that sooner really as it would've meant some rest.

DD was back to back so not fault of the induction for it being a painful labour.

StubbleTurnips · 05/12/2016 13:04

nojo that's rubbish, I had a couple of braxton a this morning but they go as soon as I realise. I'm knitting DDs nursery nurses Christmas presents today - trying to ignore being pregnant!

Minispringroll · 05/12/2016 15:00

nojo Mine keeps stopping and starting. It's really annoying. I think it's BH because they feel a little uncomfortable but not actually painful. (It's about every ten minutes at the moment.) That said, I don't tend to get much period pain and my ectopic pregnancies were painless as well. Hmm
I'm trying to distract myself. Grin Have been to the supermarket to get things for St Nikolaus Day tomorrow but it's quite painful to walk. Will put things into shoes tomorrow morning and as usual pretend that it wasn't me. Grin
Additionally, I'm trying to decide on a new mobile phone. Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge? Hm,...choices, choices. I've got a Note 3 at the moment, so the S7 seems rather small.
The small person inhabiting my tummy keeps squirming around quite happily. If this is anything to go by, he'll sleep nicely during the nights and be very active during the day.

Nojo82 · 05/12/2016 15:36

I know turnips its so annoying..

mini mines were painful so not BH, but stopped now. Been having BH today, bump has been rock hard. Got an appointment on Wednesday so gona tell doctor im having contractions, see what he says..
I dont get much period pain either plus beginning of my other labours were painless..

Gona try a few old wives tails tonight, hot chilli con carne. Maybe sex Grin and already been for a walk..

Hi all, just catching up with the thread and all the new arrivals. Congratulations to all new mums!

I'm due today, went in for reduced movements monitoring last night and ended up agreeing to a sweep. Wasn't the most pleasant experience but cervix is soft and 1-2cm so good news but nothing happened overnight. This is my first baby so I know he might be late but was hoping something would kick off. I'm getting some pain, tightenings etc but I don't think it's contractions. A bit disheartening as I want to do everything possible to avoid a medical induction. Should I do more sweeps? Has it worked for anyone with first baby?

Lovewatchingrainfall · 05/12/2016 15:47

39 weeks tomorrow and feel like I'm going backwards. On Friday for my sweep I was 4/5th engaged. Today I'm 2/5th engaged and feel like rubbish I have really bad indigestion, so tired and really grumpy. Not sure how I am going to last.

DH has a week of nights so I'm also looking after a very hyper 3year old not only at night but during the day too while he sleeps. Have no other help which is stressing me out.

OrianaBanana · 05/12/2016 16:21

I'm feeling v worried and upset at the moment, hoping it's hormones (38+3 and no signs yet, refused a sweep booked for just over my due date as I found it so unpleasant last time. I may change my mind of course!). DH is stressed out and tired but I'm just not feeling 'looked after' AT ALL - I'm also v stressed out by what to do with DS when I give birth. I have some patchy cover but the school mums are bitchy (today his school friends' mums blanked me for no reason I know of) and I've nothing over Christmas and now even DH wants to take a trip by himself a few hours away either later this week or this weekend. Sad

Bigfam · 05/12/2016 16:23

Friday I went out with dp in his work truck, it bounced me all over the place, maybe that helped?! Labour started early hours of Saturday morning.

Hi there all; as planned my twin girls born Thursday morning 1 December by c section. Whopping 6 pound 2 and 6 pound 9; I'm bragging as I now understand why I got sooooo fat!!! Not had time to even find my laptop since I got out of prison hospital on Saturday; so much to say but so exhausted but very happy. Good luck and congratulations to all of you , we are all amazing. And you other twin mums.... wow- you are extraordinary. This is so hard!! And yet so fabulous! If you're struggling, I can only say, if I can do it, so can you! Right, back to it! I'll be back

stripeyorangesocks71 · 05/12/2016 17:39

Congrats on all the new arrivals!

I hope those of you that a struggling will have your babies soon. I'm 38+1 today and aching a lot, Peanut hasn't been very active this morning but is now the total opposite and wriggling like mad. I have cramp style pains, wouldn't say as bad as period pains (I get those quite bad) but definitely in that area. They seem to come and go.

It's so lovely reading all your stories Smile

Babydreaming · 05/12/2016 17:41

Hello all! Just wanted to get an alternative opinion on what you would do in my situation. I will be 40w tomorrow (yay!) I'm going for a membrane sweep at 40+1 and then currently booked for induction next Monday so I'll be almost 41 weeks. The induction was sort of at my request. This pregnancy has been stressful as the baby has short long bones and a kidney problem and they're not sure why. They did amnio but couldn't find anything genetically wrong with him. I hope he's just a little baby and the kidney thing is an incidental finding. The fetal medicine team didn't see any medical need to induce me but offered it to me if I wanted to have him a bit quicker. I said yes at the time as was anxious to meet him but now I don't know if I'm being too hasty....do you think you would opt for induction at 41 weeks if given the choice or play the waiting game a bit longer?

Lovewatchingrainfall · 05/12/2016 17:54

Babydreaming I think in your shoes from what you have said I would do the same as you and go ahead with the induction. Do you know how far they would let you go over anyway? Because here they only let you go 10days over so it is not far off.

As you have said it could just be a small baby. The kidney thing may also sort it's self out.

Thisisbonkers · 05/12/2016 18:32

My sweep didn't happen Angry was left waiting over an hour for my appointment and I had to be somewhere. So I've been raging and in tears most of the afternoon. Ive got my 41 week appointment on Friday so have to wait until then now. I was really hoping this would kick things off Sad

goinggrey1978 · 05/12/2016 18:45

Omg, omg, sweep all done this morning and booked for induction tomorrow, nurse said I won't be leaving the hospital without a baby!!

zazie7 · 05/12/2016 19:08

Congrats to the new arrivals!

Thisisbonkers, that's rubbish :-( especially when you have been looking forward to it potentially starting something. I have had some long waits like that for appointments, it makes it so difficult to plan anything and so frustrating. Not surprised you are raging!

Babydreaming it's totally up to you to weigh up the pros and cons. It's really difficult. Personally l would probably wait until your membrane sweep and ask how your cervix is looking and if baby engaged then make a decision then or nearer the time. I was offered an induction last week due to high bp but resisted as nothing else looked ready and following monitoring baby seemed fine and bp settled down a bit. But it's totally up to you and depends how you are feeling and how much you think inducing would help. I wouldn't be rushed into making a decision as it is still a week off.

I'm still here and still no sign of anything happening. 40+2 now though that is date from scan, by my dates am 39+6 The odd period like cramp but nothing regular. Struggling with pgp, heartburn and carpal tunnel syndrome so hope something happens sooner rather than later. I have an appointment and another NST on Wednesday so will see how things are looking then. Will ask about membrane sweep but not sure if they offer them here.

zazie7 · 05/12/2016 19:17

Eek, goinggrey, missed your post! Good luck, how exciting!

Lovewatchingrainfall · 05/12/2016 19:25

Wow goinggrey that's amazing. Good luck

Bigfam · 05/12/2016 19:31

Oh bonkers I'd be mad as hell too, I hope Friday comes around quickly for you.

How exciting goinggrey I bet you'll be restless tonight 😄
Just came down from my bath to find a lovely bottle of wine, really posh box of chocolate & a card with £50 in from dp for my birthday tomorrow (even though I'd already had a new pair of ghd's a couple of weeks ago as an early present) bless him. It's his birthday Friday, I've already bought him a new phone but think he deserves a treat. ❤
Obviously baby arriving was a gift for us both! Grin

For those worrying about induction - don't! I had on (1st baby) and it was all fine, in fact I required two prostins and then required ARM but active labour lasted two and 1/2hrs....required the synt drop on full flow which helped my contractions (5:10!) but overall a huge success and wasn't half as bad as I expected after hearing IOL horror stories. Good luck ladies Grin

Nojo82 · 05/12/2016 20:42

Just had really bad diarrhoea. Sat on the loo i could hardly move, had really bad stomach and back ache. Could hardly even wipe myself.. couldnt even walk after.. could this mean something?

StubbleTurnips · 05/12/2016 20:59

Maybe nojo! Fingers crossed.

Nojo82 · 05/12/2016 21:06

StubbleTurnips · 05/12/2016 21:11

Ah you poor thing, I feel like we're in a race nojo! Nothing doing for me today though.

Nojo82 · 05/12/2016 21:25

Bumbleclat · 05/12/2016 22:40

My esteemed visitors have left me with Noro virus, I e been throwing to everything I've eaten today and feel utterly rotten :(

I don't know whether to call midwife to see what I should be doing u expect she'll just tell me to drink lots of water... Anyone else had NV whilst pregnant?
