We maxed out our last thread before starting a new one.
I'm not savvy like kitkat so can't post our list either! Hopefully there will be some ba's before this thread is completed.

Congrats on all the babies arriving, amazing!! Star bigfam sounds like a good birth, and so do many others. And what a beautiful girl.

greggy how exciting! Hope all goes very well And we'all soon have baby news from you!

Nojo and Stubble and Bonkers* hope things start happening for you soon! Must be draustraing to wait. How rubbish, Bonkers, that the sweep didn't happen.

Oriana sending you sympathy, sounds so tough! Sorry you're not feeling looked after. Can you tell you DP not to go on a trip? I told DH no more going out drinking now, I'm 39 wks now. He said he'd go out but wouldn't drink...we'all see 😜 But I'll be super mad if he gets drunk at this stage, although I hate being the policing wife. Seems he got the message though as being v thoughtful. Is there any family you could call on to help with babysitting DD? Know how stressful it isn't to not feel Looked after I felt it earlier in then preganncy but now my mum has arrived and although she does drive me a bit nuts sometimes it's way weighed up by feeling calm she's here to take DD when I go into labour. And I should be grateful she's taking so much time to be with me, she has a busy life at home.

Popskipiekin · 05/12/2016 22:43

Ahh good luck all you ladies possibly or actually at the start of something! Hoping to wake up to even more lovely baby news :)
No action with mini Pops sadly - my nephew's 2nd birthday was today and I was hoping for birthday twins! Have told baby that any point this week would be fine too, fx.

Bigfam · 05/12/2016 22:44

Ah no bumble was hoping you'd avoided it, what about your dad?
nojo that sounds promising, where abouts is your back hurting?
Romy's a night time monster, naps fine all day but wants to be held at night!

Poor you Bumble! Haven't had novovirus but had v bad food poisoning and me just said drink loads of water and rest and that it wouldn't harm the baby. Still so horrible to go through though! Hope you feel better soon

Londonmamabychance · 05/12/2016 22:45

MW not me

Bigfam · 05/12/2016 22:46

bumble didn't see that, that's so rotten! And so goddamned inevitable - why couldn't they have stayed away? You poor poor thing. Def make sure you stay hydrated, lucozade and/or those salts etc, if you can stomach them. Hope it passes quickly.

Bumbleclat · 05/12/2016 22:51

Thank you midwife just said keel hydrated it's just weird that baby is being so very wriggly and kicky🙏🏻

nightcap · 06/12/2016 02:44

Thanks to everyone for the induction advice, made me a bit less anxious. I did think about declining it but thought I'd be worrying for the best few weeks if I did so might as well get it over with. They did the pessary around lunchtime, took a while to get going but decent contractions were happening by about 5pm and our little guy was out by 10pm, all 6 pounds 1 of him! I'm now on a post natal ward full of heavy snorers so doubt I'll be getting much sleep tonight... sending good thoughts to everyone who's about to meet their little ones and everyone else, hang in there!

Bigfam · 06/12/2016 02:51

Congratulations nightcap sounds like you had a great experience. I could never sleep on the wards either but I think it was more to do with the fact I was in awe of the little person I'd just given birth to, too busy staring 😄
Are you bf'ing?

nightcap · 06/12/2016 03:28

Yep bigfam I'm bfing, have always had trouble with it but this time feels like the first time I know what I'm doing a bit more! Still not the most slick at getting the latching sorted but at least I know when it's wrong, which never really clicked with my first and meant I had a bit of a miserable time. How's it going for you?

Bumbleclat · 06/12/2016 03:57

Ugh I've spent the whole night vomitting and s*+%#ing and worrying about my ability to put up with pain/illness when I've got to give birth within the next couple of weeks- you can't compare the two (DnV & labour) right? Confused

Bigfam · 06/12/2016 04:04

That's good then, I'm glad you're feeling more positive. It's always more daunting with the first baby isn't it? I remember with my first it would literally take me 30 minutes just to dress her because I was worried about all those little limbs! When do you expect to go home?
We had a good run from half 10 til half 2, then she woke and had a bottle and was nearly re-settled about 3.30 but then she decided to pooh and try to carry on sleeping so had to wake her for a change 😁
Out of interest, what size clothes did you pack and did they fit?

Bigfam · 06/12/2016 04:09

Definitely bumble! Especially with the cramps from diarrhoea, I once phoned an ambulance when I had d&v it hurt that bad, so you have my massive sympathy. I hope you're OK, it's very selfish for them to have stayed knowing they weren't well! Flowers

Poor you bumble, that sounds horrible. Hope it settles soon.

We'll hopefully be home as soon as possible tomorrow bigfam (although realistically lunchtime by the time they've done various checks etc). Am so keen to get home and have a proper shower and sleep! We brought some premature size vests (as I know sizes are off quite often) and some 0-3 sleepsuits - they're all ridiculously gigantic on him! Nothing seems to fit newborns properly, I think I just have scrawny babies... have you found the same?

A half ten till half two sleep is great! think we'll introduce bottles in a couple of weeks and get him used to mix feeding for when I go back to work, although can't remember from last time which formula we used. Guess it probs doesn't matter...

ElodieS · 06/12/2016 06:56

One more new arrival here! Sorry I've been absent for so long, life got very busy with DTs in hospital and waiting for this LO.

Corin Matthew arrived at 4.12am on 1st December at 37 +3, weighing 6lb4oz. He's a beauty!

Huge congratulations to all the other arrivals, and sending everyone else good vibes for nice quick but smooth births.

E xx

Bigfam · 06/12/2016 06:58

Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for the checks and can be discharged, get home and have a shower then settle in with your baby boy! I took first size (up to 9lbs) she only weighed 7lbs7oz, but she's really long, so her feet are actually staying where they're supposed to in the baby grows, she slept again from 4am until about half 6.
I think formula is all pretty much the same, I know antimalarial and cow & gate is produced by the same company & that all anti-reflux milk is slightly more expensive, looks like we don't have that problem this time around though. Smile

bigfam the pain was across my middle back. It was awful, felt like i was being pulled apart. But had nothing since. Seriously thought that was it.. wishful thinking. Again woke up to feeling good.. no aches at all..

Bigfam · 06/12/2016 11:14

Think I need to get in touch with my midwife, I thought Romy was looking a bit yellow earlier and when I changed her I noticed her wee was really yellow, I mentioned it at the time to dp but didn't really think about it, just looked on the NHS website and it says yellow urine is a symptom. My dc1 had jaundice but just got away with not needing treatment.

going good luck!

Growingbeanno2 · 06/12/2016 13:09

Hi all.

Oh nojo, so frustrating.

Sorry about the negativity from me last week. I'm so sick of whinging. Trying to be more positive this week!

So many new arrivals. Exciting times!!
Crossing legs till c day! I saw someone else talking about being induced and this helping with their need to control things like childcare. I am so like this.

Loving the baby photos though all!

Bigfam, I'd call tbh just for reassurances

Bigfam · 06/12/2016 13:45

Good luck goinggrey you'll soon have your very own goinggrey 👶 Grin

Congrats Elodie! I hope your DTs are well enough to enjoy their new brother x

bigfam worth getting the jaundice checked out. Poor dd2 had daily heel pricks in scbu as she was very yellow. She spent a day under the lamp which helped bring it under control. It makes them very sleepy as well.

Spending all day hanging around for the community nurses to visit. It's a bit frustrating, we've got untimed health care visits almost every day. It's been a lovely day and I wanted to spend time in the park with Dd1.
