We maxed out our last thread before starting a new one.
I'm not savvy like kitkat so can't post our list either! Hopefully there will be some ba's before this thread is completed.

Congratulations tip

I'm going to have to buy some sort of oil filled radiator to use, I turn the heating off completely at night but the front room (which is where we are sleeping) gets really cold.

Sympathies nojo, that sucks. Get on the birthing ball. Mine started during making roast dinner earlier but have gone now.

Nojo82 · 04/12/2016 17:58

Aw turnips its awful isnt it. I didnt get round to buying a birthing ball.. hoping something happens later on.. i remember being in a similar position with my last pregnancy, i went in to hospital but was only 2cm and was sent home. I had him 12hrs later. But they were more regular last time so god knows. Im getting wee twinges now as im writing this..

Bigfam · 04/12/2016 18:07

bigfam were you early in this pregnancy? Just wondering with it being ur 5th was it any different. This is my 4th so wondering if id go early. I know everyone is different and every pregnancy is different. Im just curious..

StubbleTurnips · 04/12/2016 19:06

Nojo hoping it comes back! I never had anything like this last time, DD was literally forced into the world at 40+12 via forced removal so it's all new to me.

kippersandcurtains · 04/12/2016 19:12

I haven't posted since early doors on this board but remember some of you from those early weeks, so thoughts I'd complete the story with a birth - my daughter on her due date 1st December. 7 hours from prostin gel induction. She's a poppet and her two brothers, Daddy & I are over the moon.
Wishing you all happy, swift & safe arrivals x

Bigfam · 04/12/2016 19:23

Congratulations kippers
My 1st was 37+3
2nd 38+3
3rd 39+0
4th 39+3
And Romy was 39+1. So I carried her for the second longest nojo Smile

Tip, I'm loving my co sleeper, is it too late for you to get one?

south, ah I can imagine that will make her sleepy. Does she have any monitors on at home? I laughed at your nurses saying no hats. It's so different here, we're under strict instructions to put a hat on if her temp goes below 36.8!

Bumbleclat · 04/12/2016 20:31

Aw bigfam Romy's gorgeous!

Phew- what a weekend.. visitors gone. They were throwing up with a sickness bug and I'm dreading catching it Shock

Poor DSD also had to put up with horrid bullying behaviour from her cousins and I think we'll be limiting contact in future for her sake.

No more hosting for me this year.

Nojo82 · 04/12/2016 20:37

bigfam you went early with all yours then. Ive always went over and expected to go over this time but these wee niggles might indicate otherwise..

SouthDownsSunshine · 04/12/2016 20:48

Solomon we've just got the cot monitor. Here they're paranoid about overheating! Her temp is always below 36.8. She's a cold bod like me.

bumble that would be my nightmare. I would have been spraying bleach around everywhere! I really hope you don't get it. And your poor DSD.

bigfam she's gorgeous!

Bigfam · 04/12/2016 22:43

That's a bit inconsiderate that they bought a sick bug along with them bumble and your poor did, I hope you both manage to avoid it, you deserve to put your feet up now they've gone.
Thanks bumble & south She's nearly identical to my other 3 girls when they were babies 😊 how's gorgeous baby south getting on?

Come on baby nojo these niggles sound good!

Hi
I haven't been around for a while but just wanted to pop in and say I had our son Sage yesterday on the 4th, a horrible 6 hour labour with gas and air waiting for the epidural that never came. However he is beautiful, so far so good with breastfeeding and it is bittersweet he is a larger (7lbs 4oz) version of his big sister who should be 14 months old.

Congratulations to all the other new arrivals and hoping for smooth births for those waiting.

Bigfam · 05/12/2016 03:55

He's gorgeous TheDisillusionedAnarchist
as I'm sure your dd was too (hugs)
Glad to hear breastfeeding is going well.
Romy seems to have taken to the dummy I tried her with after she wasn't settling, it takes up most of her face though!

Hoping a baby nojo is soon to arrive from those niggles!

Sage, what a beautiful name! TheDisillusionedAnarchist, he is lovely! Thanks for popping by! So glad to hear you are both doing well. Especially after losing your DD. You must be feeling lots of mixed emotions. I hope you manage to stay well, take care x

goinggrey1978 · 05/12/2016 07:04

TheDisillusionedAnarchist, congratulations!! What a beautiful name for a gorgeousb boy!!

SouthDownsSunshine · 05/12/2016 08:17

Congratulations disillusioned, lovely name for a lovely boy. Enjoy those cuddles x

nightcap · 05/12/2016 08:31

Been reading all the updates, so lovely to see so many babies have arrived safe and well so far. They're all gorgeous, congratulations!

My due date's not for a week yet and I was expecting another late one but a bit of 3am hospital excitement this morning means he might arrive sooner than that. His heartbeat dropped a bit alarmingly so I'm waiting to find out if they'll send me home or recommend just getting him out straightaway. They're going to do a scan then will decide. Im feeling a mix of nervous and knackered...

Nojo82 · 05/12/2016 09:11

bigfam everything has stopped with me Angry no niggles anymore.. to make matters worse i just bumped into my neighbour hauling a suitcase into the car (she is due 4 days before me). They are away off to be scanned as baby is breech and will be getting a section date..possibly in nxt few days..

Congratulations on the new arrivals..

Bigfam · 05/12/2016 09:46

Good luck with whatever they decide nightcap try and get some rest while you're waiting.
Ah nojo, at least while your neighbour is waiting for a section you know that your labour could start at any time & sections can be pushed back for emergencies etc. It does sound like your body is getting ready so hopefully it won't be long!

Looks like it's gong to be an induction... anyone got any non horrible induction stories? Feeling a bit scared about it.

OrianaBanana · 05/12/2016 10:41

My mum had 4 inductions and said they were all fine. I had one and it wasn't terrible, just took a long time and DS never got into the right position but that was his fault not the induction! You'll be fine but take lots to keep you occupied!

Thisisbonkers · 05/12/2016 11:36

Wail. Thought it had all started last night. Turns out I was dreaming. I have a sweep booked this afternoon.

duxb · 05/12/2016 12:49

Induction booked for tomorrow, been told to expect it to take anywhere between 24 and 72 hours for baby to arrive from the point at which they start and they have explained the process. Just need to re-pack my bag as I'll be in there until she arrives and then whatever post-natal care they want to give me so need to add a few bits in.

Had a third attempt a sweep today - really, really sick of them now, especially when the medical team finish one and say "I don't think it will work".
