We maxed out our last thread before starting a new one.
I'm not savvy like kitkat so can't post our list either! Hopefully there will be some ba's before this thread is completed.

I probably am just being overcautious Bonkers but i'm a paranoid freak at the best of times let alone when pregnant. God knows what I will be like the rest of the pregnancy ha. Surely we are not expected to go 9 months without cleaning the loo lol

Bumbleclat · 25/11/2016 04:44

amorita Inthink there's slot to be said for mother's instinct. I couldn't touch/ be near chemicals, caffeine or basically anything that had a remotely strong smell in the first 4 months of pregnancy without being sick.
The middle of my pregnancy I was able to so did.
Now I'm getting towards the end I'm being more cautious again (and a bit sick) so am avoiding those things. I really think the body knows what it needs and we should go with it.
Dont worry :)

stripeyorangesocks71 · 25/11/2016 09:40

Congratulations to all the new arrivals on this thread!

I've used bleach to clean no problem all the way through pregnancy. Just go with your instincts really! :)

After a bit of advice myself.. so I'm 36+5 today and have recently started getting a bit of discharge, most days now, not loads but enough to notice. Haven't had any previously during my pregnancy. Is this a sign that my body is changing and preparing for birth? Even though I'm a few weeks off my due date?

NotAClue82 · 25/11/2016 10:39

Hi all,

Congrats on all the new arrivals, and I hope all the pregnant mums feeling well!

I know I've pretty much fallen off this thread altogether (things have been a little mental here in NICU) but I just thought I'd swing by to see how you are all doing, and to give little update: My girls are 9 weeks old now & still in hospital. They are doing well, mostly healthy, just need to feed and grow! They are still tiny at just under 3lb and 5lb. Needless to say it's been an incredibly tough time. But at the same time, it has also been amazing. I are my identical little miracles and I love them!!!

Best wishes to all of you x

Bigfam · 25/11/2016 12:21

Glad to hear your beautiful twins are doing well notaclue it must be hard so thanks for coming back and updating us!
stripey it could well be your body preparing, don't forget baby is classed as full term at 37 weeks, but some pregnancies can reach 42 weeks. My first arrived at 37+3 and I really wasn't expecting her to, so just be prepared.

38 weeks today, had mw apt, it was short and sweet. My next apt will be on baby's due date (9th) and she'll also offer me a sweep whilst there so at least I've got that to look forward to. I've never had a sweep, or reached my due date but I'm slowly creeping towards it!!

Glad to hear your little ones are doing well, notaclue

Stripey I've had discharge in and off the whole pregnancy, currently 37 weeks coming on 38 and not having any at the moment. Think I've seen others post about discharge, too, at various stages.

Having a bit of a tough time, suffering wth a bad cold and did not get a wink of sleep all night after having already slept badly the two nights before, and it developed into kind if an anxiety attack. Had to ask DH to stay home from work today to look after DD as I'm completely
Destroyed and fee a bit mentally unstable! Not sure if it's the impending birth that's got to me, the claustrophobia of not being able to breathe, or some other family stuff (sister just announced a divorce in a very messy and tragic way) that's stressing me out so much. Now so scared I again won't be able to sleep tonight Sad anyone got any sleeping remedies/tips, save for pregnancy?

Eskerina81 · 25/11/2016 16:38

Oh London I'm so sorry to hear you're feeling terrible. Have you tried putting some olbas oil in a bowl of boiling hot water & inhaling the steam? I hope you feel better soon.

excitedmummytob · 25/11/2016 17:28

Finished work today at 38 weeks and 4 days, very strange feeling as still don't feel tired or ready to leave really! Hoping to meet baby in the next week (could be wishful thinking)! Lovely to hear baby news xxx

Babydreaming · 25/11/2016 18:14

Wow notaclue...can't imagine what you have been through in last few weeks, thanks for updating us and hope your babies start packing on the pounds soon !

London I know how you feel! I felt extremely anxious and unable to cope yesterday. I still haven't had my amnio results and it's always on my mind when falling asleep! Pregnancy is hard.

Nojo82 · 25/11/2016 19:17

Good to hear ur babies are doing well notaclue.

Ive been in hospital today for an itch. Had bloods done. Have to go back on monday for fasting bloods and liver screen. They done a growth scan. 6lb 11oz, another big baby. Im 35+5!

stripeyorangesocks71 · 25/11/2016 21:36

Thanks London and bigfam :) just wasn't sure as not experienced any discharge then now that I'm close to due date I am doing! I guess everyone is different.

I also finished work today.. will be 37 weeks on Sunday. Was a very emotional day and baby has been spoilt by the team.. we got a Babymoov Activity Nest and a Lamaze Cuddle and Squeak Koalas toy :)

OrianaBanana · 25/11/2016 21:43

Erm discharge, yes lots on and off throughout which is a particular problem now that I can't see to keep the ladygarden tidy. I had a good go at it (blind) with a trimmer today after a bath - in fact did legs and underarms too so feel much better, but it was such an effort! God knows what it looks like though.

Had a trip today which was scary although thankfully I didn't fall, it did jar my pelvis something terrible.

Also spent an hour and a half waiting for an appointment at the hospital which never materialised but was eventually rearranged for Monday at 10. Need to find some time to rest but every day there are more things to do!! Angry

Bumplovin · 25/11/2016 23:13

Got a Urine infection and the drug can interact with my diabetes medication. Had a low blood sugar this eve and they said that if they remain low I may have to be admitted. Annoyed it's the weekend and I can't speak to diabetic team about it- unsure why they chose this antibiotic when there are others that don't interact

Bumplovin · 25/11/2016 23:19

Amorita I wouldn't worry about bleach , I used Mr muscle oven cleaner the other day which stank but I put the trays outside to soak . I prob inhaled a bit but it was only for a few minutes. Mince you've put the bleach down the toilet you are not going to be staying in there you'll only have to go into flush it after an hour or so. Id imagine it would be prolonged exposure that's a risk say if you job was a cleaner and U were using it all day

StubbleTurnips · 26/11/2016 01:38

Attempted an early night, am now wide awake with stomach ache Sad

NurseRosie · 26/11/2016 02:12

Hi, I tried to catch up but the last thread had maxed. Sorry I've been quiet but my phone broke and lost the app. Just wanted to catch up. I've had my little boy. 3 weeks and 1 day early but a good weight and doing really well. Breast feeding has been a challenge but doing OK now. Hope everyone else is ok x x

Lovewatchingrainfall · 26/11/2016 05:38

Congratulations on your arrival nurse hope you both are doing okay.

I'm finding it so hard to sleep no matter which way I lay I can not get comfy.

I have used bleach to clean and honest not even thought about it as long as the room has ventilation I would say you are fine.

SouthDownsSunshine · 26/11/2016 08:09

Congratulations nurse :)

Bigfam · 26/11/2016 08:57

Congrats nurse
Glad breast feeding is now going well. Smile

Hi.

Wow, congratulations on all of the new arrivals in the past few days. These babies are arriving thick and fast now! Grin NotAClue I'm so pleased your girls are doing well. Any idea how much longer they will need to stay in hospital for?

All going well here. Baby KitKat was only on the 9th centile for weight at birth and obviously her initial feeding issues didn't help, but she has really turned a corner and when we got her weighed yesterday she had gained a whole 8oz in a week, and is now up to 6lb 4oz. She loves her milk! Smile

Other than that I'm tired (not unexpected) and feeling a bit sorry for DD1 (2 years old) sometimes as I think I'm being a bit boring and probably over-relying on CBeebies to get through.

DartmoorDoughnut · 26/11/2016 10:14

If it's not going away love I'd hazard a guess that it's just a pain, if it's coming and going I guess it could be something more!

DartmoorDoughnut · 26/11/2016 10:15

Oh wow kitkat that's a hell of a growth spurt
