Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 48th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 47th grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 61st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread <a class="break-all" href="//onwww.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/2588689-we-re-still-teething-trying-to-wean-and-our-babies-just-won-t-go-to-sleep-when-we-re-trying-to-js-for-another-one-it-s-just-mumming-no-11" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Thanks corgi! Yep I felt like you and yet here I am Grin Shock Confused

NameChange30 · 05/01/2017 22:42

Oh and for maternity clothes, my best buys were from Zalando. Got some great chinos and a gorgeous coat. Free delivery and returns too. I also got a couple of bits from ASOS and Next. M&S maternity leggings. Didn't have much luck with Gap (where I usually shop quite a bit), H&M or New Look. Got a lovely big cosy wrap cardie from JoJo Maman Bebe as a present, and I've been wearing it (and getting compliments on it) most days since November!

Pisghetti · 06/01/2017 06:50

Corgi I've just bought a bagful of stuff in the H&M sale. Yes it's early but bargains!

Pisghetti · 06/01/2017 12:36

Also I bought lots of stuff from purpless. It's cheap and the quality can be hit and miss but mostly good enough for the length of time you'll need it for. Although I was able to use most of the tops to faciliatate breastfeeding for a long time afterwards too so got some decent wear out of them.

Pisghetti · 06/01/2017 12:37

*facilitate Blush

Canters15 · 06/01/2017 17:55

Movement from about 18 weeks though was just odd flutters for a long time. Bit of a bump at 20 weeks. Could feel uterus at 12.

Scottish nothing worked for me apart from meds! The sickness got worse throughout the pregnancy and by the end I had full blown HG and was getting admitted weekly for IVs. Fun times. Anyway my advice would be not to suffer unnecessarily and get help if it doesn't settle soon, I assumed I'd just regain weight lost later in the pregnancy but I didn't and have lost further due to breastfeeding. Apparently eating little and often helps and I think most people find plain carbs helpful, R is made of jacket potatoes and chips!

Canters15 · 06/01/2017 18:00

Maternity wear wise I mainly got stuff from h&m or stuff from primark a size up. I refused to buy nursing specific stuff as I needed to feel like myself again, now I wear wrap or shirt dresses or vest under tshirt or jumper.

ScottishLady7 · 06/01/2017 22:56

Relieved to say the sickness has been much more manageable the past couple of days- I think the packet of digestives in my bedside table has cured me!

Nice evening tonight- we had a private viability scan (for my anxiety, not for any other worrying reasons) and we saw a little 6+4 bean in the right place, with a beating heart.

Still early but nice and reassuring in the meantime nonetheless!

ScottishLady7 · 06/01/2017 22:58

And canters the HG sounds horrendous Shock

ChatEnOeuf · 07/01/2017 10:18

I remember the constant nausea/hungover feeling - horrible! My only remedies were ice-cold water and bland carbs - MicroChat is made of pasta and Mini Cheddars.

First time around I felt movement at about 17w - I remember it well, as I was putting a cannula in a wriggly, sweaty toddler at the time and apparently pulled a weird face Grin. Subsequently, it's been earlier, 12-14w.

Bump appeared as a genuine bump at about 24w or so first time, much earlier this time!

No more nights for a year! Woo!

Pisghetti · 07/01/2017 14:35

That's lovely Scottish! I'd quite like an early scan but DP has the attitude of as it won't change the outcome then it's a waste of money Hmm could go it alone but at the same time wouldn't want him to miss out...

My DS is made of baked potatoes and mushy peas (sometimes together). DD is made of raspberry magnums. Took me bloody ages to shake off my newly acquired sweet tooth after having her!

ScottishLady7 · 07/01/2017 16:51

Haha! Loving hearing what all your wee ones are made of. So far wee haggis is made of digestives, rich tea biscuits, potato waffles and fish fingers... aka a fine and well-balanced diet! Hmm

DH was on board with the early scan as I found one for half price and he knew how anxious I was. Problem is though that I now want another one because we would have paid full price anyway so we might as well, right...? And I'd love to have one before 12weeks where it looks more like a baby and less like a thumb in a cave...

Going to have to work on DH a bit though I think...

SockQueen · 07/01/2017 18:27

Socklet is made of ALL THE CARBS. Lots of ready salted crisps, and lemon & ginger tea. One of my consultants saw me in the coffee room with those two things and said "If you hadn't told me yesterday, I'd know you were pregnant just seeing you with those!"

Tbh I've been eating so much crap while breastfeeding he's probably still 90% carbs.

corgi88 · 07/01/2017 20:45

Oh fabulous news Scottish! Hurray! Glad the nausea is settling as well, wouldn't want you to have an awful time like poor canters (weekly IVs?! You poor thing)

Hurrah for no more nights chat!!! How many weeks are you now? This is all flying by!

I need a hooya, am feeling for no reason like something will go wrong. Of course I have felt like this since BFP.... Womble does appear to be growing - definitely different from how it felt at the 12 w scan - but I can't switch off the horrible worry! Hopefully will be better once I do feel movements, fingers crossed won't be too long. Would be so nice if I had a little camera in there or maybe a tiny womble window... Also any time we tell anyone the news I feel even more paranoid. Honestly when did I become so irrational?!

corgi88 · 07/01/2017 20:46

Sorry for whinging on, I should distract myself by buying some nice maternity clothes from all these places - thanks for suggestions viroids!

corgi88 · 07/01/2017 20:51

Oh just saw your update Scottish and sock!
No idea what this mini-corg is made of, mainly cheese and onion Kettle Chips I fear.... Not even from morning sickness but pure greed!!

Hmm I know what you mean about wanting all the scans...However my 9 week scan is only slightly more baby like, the 12 week one is the really impressive one where it actually looks like a baby! Hahahahaha at "thumb in cave" though Grin

ChatEnOeuf · 07/01/2017 21:37

26w now Corgi - some say it's flying by...I disagree but smile and nod :)

My 9w scan was definitely baby, but still a little alien-like. Limb buds were there though. Ten weeks was reasonably baby shaped, as was 11...I have a lot of scan pics Grin

NameChange30 · 07/01/2017 22:22

Scottish Lovely news from your early scan! Smile Glad the nausea has eased a bit too.

corgi Sorry you're feeling anxious, no hooya from me - just a hug! How many weeks are you now? Hang on in there... and try some retail therapy Wink

My baby is made of ALL THE FOOD. I've always been greedy a foodie and I was starving in the first trimester. Didn't have any aversions or particular cravings, just anything and everything! But I do have a sweet tooth and that hasn't changed in pregnancy so he is at least 50% chocolate Grin

NameChange30 · 07/01/2017 22:25

Oh and since I haven't mentioned it in a while... we have a stats spreadsheet if anyone would like to add themselves! It would be good actually as it's looking rather empty at the moment! Totally optional as course as I know it's early days for many and even those further along might prefer not to be on it.

NovaArt3mis · 08/01/2017 10:59

Hello all, can I poke my head in?

Long-time JS lurker, ttcing almost two years, finally introduced myself to the viroids in December and got my BFP a few days before Christmas! I like to think they're entirely responsible.

I wasn't going to say hi until after 12 week scan but I'm trying to be optimistic! And also, this whole first trimester thing feels incredibly lonely at times. I'm 7 weeks today based on LMP.

SockQueen · 08/01/2017 13:17

Congratulations and welcome Nova! Hope you're feeling ok and gx for a sticky one.

I'm actually now a grad-grad - DS/Socklet is 15 weeks old, I just like hanging around and cheering on the other viroids!

ScottishLady7 · 08/01/2017 13:44

Woohoo Nova! Welcome! I meant to ask- where in Scotland are you? I'm an Edinburger...

NovaArt3mis · 08/01/2017 14:00

Thanks sock! i was lurking long enough to remember you in JS Blush It is a fab little community you have here so I can see why you stick around!

Feeling surprisingly ok, which leads to thoughts of "nothing's actually going on in there is it!?" Tired & sore/growing boobs are the only consistent symptoms I have.

Hi Scottish! How are you getting on? Edinburgh too!

ScottishLady7 · 08/01/2017 14:15

Ooh, I'm 6+6 so maybe we'll end up coming across each other at scans etc!
I'm doing well, massive sore boobs, nausea and exhaustion aside... Grin
Not complaining though, happy to be here!

Feeling a bit more relaxed after our early private scan on Friday- lovely to see the heartbeat!
FYI ABC4D baby scans in corstorphine have half price viability scans just now which was totally worth it if you are anxious like me!

NovaArt3mis · 08/01/2017 15:17

Oh, I was totally convincing myself to be patient and save myself the cash, but half price you say! I'll have a good think about that!

Do you have you booking in/scan date yeah?
