Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 48th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 47th grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 61st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread <a class="break-all" href="//onwww.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/2588689-we-re-still-teething-trying-to-wean-and-our-babies-just-won-t-go-to-sleep-when-we-re-trying-to-js-for-another-one-it-s-just-mumming-no-11" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Woohoo Black! Congrats! Sure the renal team will be delighted to come visit :)

SockQueen · 14/11/2016 09:28

Wooo! Congratulations Black! Hope you and he are getting on well together. I'm sure the renal team will be along soon but for now just enjoy being with your lovely baby Flowers

FuzzyOwl · 14/11/2016 10:25

Congratulations MyBlackCat! Hope everything goes well with the renal team.

Good luck Canters.

justtheonethen · 14/11/2016 17:17

black! Congratulations my lovely!

CountryGal4 · 14/11/2016 18:13

Black you sneaky sod! Well done you. Enjoy that baby!

Canters15 · 15/11/2016 16:37

Oooh black you sneaky queue jumper!! Grin many many congrats!

Already posted on grads fb but baby born yesterday lunchtime. He's absolutely perfect, breastfeeding like a trooper and I am head over heels. He was an incredible 7lb 13oz- so much for the growth scans and the 6lbish predictions!

NameChange30 · 15/11/2016 16:52

Congratulations Canters! Grin
I'm not on the FB group and I've been wondering how you got on. Delighted to hear all is well!

So who's next?! Looks like it's AnotherRubberDuck...

justtheonethen · 15/11/2016 17:22

Woo hop! Congratulations canters

MyBlackCat · 15/11/2016 19:16

Great news canters glad all is well Smile

We are still in hospital, feeding well but mostly bottle and today I've been expressing to help.

He's been to the toilet so no immediate concerns with kidney, he will be scanned in a couple of weeks, no need for antibiotics at this stage.

I'm exhausted but it's all worth it, hopefully if his weight is ok we will be allowed home on Thursday.

jellypi3 · 18/11/2016 16:41

Just popping along to say congrats to Black! Not sure if you are on the FB group? But huge congrats to you!!

MyBlackCat · 18/11/2016 21:06

Thanks jelly I'm not on Facebook but aim to sort that out. I need to get off the app but don't know my password to,log into desktop so need to reset it and dm chat with my email.

We have come home this evening and just getting settled, the early arrival means that we are not as organised as we should be. Got out of feeding routine but hopefully will get back,on it overnight.

I'll get my birth story written soon too Smile

canters hope all is going well for you x

Canters15 · 19/11/2016 17:28

We're doing wonderfully thanks black. Mini canters is perfect, I absolutely adore him. He's such a good baby, so calm. Breastfeeding is nicely established and has only lost 5% of his body weight at day 5. Sleep has been tricky but we are co sleeping and turned a corner last night with a full 8 hours in two stretches. My husband is amazing with him and has done every nappy since he was born, he's such a good support. Feeling very in love with my little family! How are you? I'm envious of a feeling routine!

Hows everyone else doing?

NameChange30 · 19/11/2016 17:34

Ooh lovely to hear you're all doing well Black and Canters Smile

Nothing much to report here, I am seriously excited about getting a new bed (it arrives on Monday! TWO MORE SLEEPS!) and we've started decorating the baby's room this weekend Smile Well DH is doing it so far, because it's the ceiling and we didn't want me stretching up or using the stepladder, but I'm looking forward to doing the walls with him!

SockQueen · 19/11/2016 18:24

Yay, glad you're both home! Very jealous of MrCanters doing all the nappies - DH has only done a handful in the last few weeks. Angry

However, Socklet is still lovely and we survived 4 hours in IKEA today, with only a few whinges!

MyBlackCat · 19/11/2016 20:42

DH's and nappies! Mines not done one yet Shock

We also seem to have a calm baby. I'm breast feeding and expressing some extra as he has a habit of falling asleep on me, he wakes every four hours or so for a feed and nappy change or has done so far, long may it continue!

He settles in his Moses basket which is next to me at the side of the bed.

In laws coming tomorrow to meet him for first time Confused

I'm so grateful for the time we had in hospital and the support given to help us get to where we are now. Midwife came today and said we were naturals Smile

MyBlackCat · 20/11/2016 13:33

So the in laws have just visited, DH got pissed off at me as I was breast feeding when they arrived, he thinks I should have gone upstairs to feed and that it was awkward for his dad - I was well covered up, not exactly sat there naked or anything. I think he was being a twat and if the baby needs feeding, he needs feeding, God knows what he 'd say if I wasbreastfeeding in public Angry

NameChange30 · 20/11/2016 15:01

Black Oh dear, I think your husband needs a stern talking to - both for his attitude to you breastfeeding and for not changing a single nappy! Angry

ChatEnOeuf · 20/11/2016 19:07

Oh, Black your DH needs a slap. Feed whenever and wherever you please. I'm sure your FiL could have made himself useful in the kitchen if he was uncomfortable.

Good work, Sock - I'm not sure I could manage four hours in IKEA without whinging!

FuzzyOwl · 20/11/2016 20:17

Congratulations Canters.

Wow, MyBlack, your DH needs a reality check! Glad the feeding is going well though.

Well survived Socklet! Four hours in ikea is an achievement!

I got a new bed last month NameChange and went into labour the same day...

Canters15 · 20/11/2016 20:58

Wtf black? Your dh is utterly ridiculous but you know that already! I'm sorry but in your home you feed where you like, and if you're covered FIL can just get over it.

We went to the pub today! It took us 2 hours to get out of the house but we did it!! I didn't even manage half a pint of cider but I did breastfeed twice!!

SockQueen · 21/11/2016 09:34

Your DH (and FIL, if necessary) can do one, Black - if your FIL doesn't like you feeding his grandson in your own home he can go and sit upstairs. The first time in-laws came, I went upstairs myself to feed, because I was still not very confident about it and didn't want distractions. The next time they came, MIL said very firmly "Please don't ever feel like you can't feed in front of us, we want you to be comfortable."

Well done for pub trip and public bfing, Canters!

1st lot of imms today for Socklet... Shock

jellypi3 · 21/11/2016 16:25

Haha your DH is ridiculous black! Don't be put off breastfeeding due to this. Honesty he will have to get used to you feeding wherever and whenever. I am pretty sure I spent the first 2 months topless.

Has he done a nappy yet?

MyBlackCat · 21/11/2016 19:40

He did a nappy last night, just a wet one, I'm not sure how he would cope with a number two Shock he was just having a twatish moment with the breastfeeding, he'll get over it!

NameChange30 · 21/11/2016 19:59

I don't understand how a father "wouldn't cope" with a pooey nappy?! Surely he would cope exactly the same as you do?!

FuzzyOwl · 21/11/2016 22:25

The very first nappy my dh ever changed was the awful first meconium one in the hospital. I think every nappy since has been an improvement for him!
