Hi all, I was on the first thread and now catching up on this one.

I also had some not so positive news at an early scan this week. They said the yolk sac was too big, at just over 6mm, and that the gestational sac was a little smaller than expected for my dates. I should be 7wks. I'm going back in a week and I think I'll get hcg blood levels checked tomorrow. I think the worst bit is not knowing for sure what is going to happen Confused.

If anyone has any experience of seeing unexpected measurements at early scan please let me know!

Panda - fx for you.

Skee · 29/10/2016 06:08

I'm sorry to hear you've had troubling news Joy, fx everything is ok x

Pom bear crisps.. good shout Poppy!

Oh no tea! I need to carve pumpkins later, I hadn't considered the smell.... very sensitive gag reflex over here! 😷

Sixisthemagicnumber · 29/10/2016 06:12

How far along are you joy? Did they see a heartbeat? The sonographer told me that measurements fluctuate wildly at very early scans and it's difficult to get dates exact (I was 6+2 when scanned).

DizzyNorthernBird · 29/10/2016 08:24

Hi all, just been catching up after a busy few days.

Sorry to hear there's been some bad news on here recently Flowers for those who are leaving us.

Hang on in there joy, as six says hopefully you're just progressing at a different rate than usual , surely every pregnancy is slightly different anyway for different women? It can't be a precise science can it?

I've missed too much over the last two days to reply to everything!

Hi to newbies and welcome!

I've been pigging out all week & I'm feeling tubby Hmm. I'm at an Indian wedding reception tonight so I'm fully expecting to stuff my face! Off for a preemptive run shortly.

Was discussing pregnancy symptoms with my mum last night. I was reassured to hear one of her pregnancies had zero symptoms (can't remember if this was me or my sister) and the other she had terrible morning sickness for weeks. My sister is also pg with her second and is having completely different symptoms. So I will relax and consider myself lucky for as long as it lasts!

On another note, she says my nan is very unwell and they don't know how much longer she might be around. She needs an op with she might not survive Sad. Mum wants me to tell her I'm pg now in case anything suddenly goes wrong. I still feel uncomfortable about doing this as it's so early and what do I do if bean doesn't make it? My nan is a full on worrier and I get why my mum wants me to tell her, but if anything happens to me do we then give her the bad news too which will upset her or lie about it?? Then if she survives the op and I didn't have the baby she'll know we've not been truthful......Confused

babyand · 29/10/2016 09:18

Morning everyone!! Oh dizzy that's what I needed to hear this morning. With dd I could not lift my head with the nausea and now I'm having a tiny wave of nausea a day was beginning to think was that wave of nausea in my head or cause over ate?!

So sorry to hear about ur nana. It's a hard call on weather to tell her or not. When is she due her op? Will you have had an early scan by then?

Hope everyone is feeling well today. We are heading out to buy dds first shoes! She's really growing up :(

MoonlightMojitos · 29/10/2016 10:31

Sorry you're at a bit of a loss now waiting joy, was it a private scan or nhs one? Hope everything has progressed with the next one and it's just a bit too early.

dizzy hope you have a fab night tonight, sounds like lots of fun! Sorry to hear about your nan, that's a tricky one. Maybe weigh up how far are you now, when would you tell her, when is the op etc?

I've been worrying last 2 days that my nausea and hunger seems to have gone right down compared to what it was before but trying not to worry. Have scan on Monday so just have to wait it out until then and hope for the best.

Just trying to catch up some more!

congrats vegan! Great news :).

skee you do make me laugh lol baby will be fine!

dragon sorry you've had a time of it at the drs, sounds like it's all been a bit crazy. Glad they got you monitored early though and sounds like you're in good hands.

flashing sorry about what you went through with the Dr too, how bloody rude! Sometimes I think they're so insensitive and have no idea what they're on about.

panda so sorry to hear you're going through this. Hope you're OK and fx for you that you get some answers soon. I expect a week will feel like ages waiting for the next scan so try and keep busy.

Myfirstbornisacollie · 29/10/2016 11:37

Thinking of those of us not getting good news or in limbo waiting for repeat scans. Flowers
I think I'm through the worst of sickness now entering the hungry phase!! After previously dissing ginger I've found some lovely stem ginger biscuits coated in dark chocolate are hitting the spot Grin felt like a beer last night so started on the Becks blue to celebrate the weekend
9 weeks today!

DizzyNorthernBird · 29/10/2016 12:26

collie is that the Borders ginger biscuits? I ate a box of those last week!

Mommytobe2017 · 29/10/2016 13:28

Today at lunch I was hungry but struggling to eat my food. Once I got that down I wolfed down a packet of s+v french fries.

Now I'm hungry again...

Sad

Other than that things are going ok for me. I moved a bit too quick and had a sharp pain but it went quickly.

Sorry for all of those struggling Flowers

Time is flying!

Love and hugs to all those who need them Flowers
Hard to post single msgs as a lot being posted!

Feeling ok today, little sicky after lunch but managing a few gingernuts with a cuppa now 😊
Can't wait for my scan, it's ages away.
I need to call my dad and tell him, he's been on holiday and lives far away from me so I don't see him often, I don't want him turning up around Xmas with the kids pressies to find me with a bump 😂Not sure how he will take it, I'm a little nervous tbh Halloween Hmm

PropagatingaPanda · 29/10/2016 16:14

Thanks for all your kind words and thoughts - I'm going to jump off the thread now as I'm fairly certain due to diminishing symptoms and what I'm passing that pregnancy isn't progressing Sad Best of luck to everyone Smile Grateful if someone could remove me from the spreadsheet.

MumofthreeandBean · 29/10/2016 16:30

Sorry to hear your news panda Flowers

Also carving pumpkins tonight tea, the smell also made me heave!! Never thought it was that strong a smell before!!

Sixisthemagicnumber · 29/10/2016 19:40

So sorry to hear that pandaFlowers

mumofthree I'm nervous about telling my mum but I will wait until after the 12 week scan until I tell anyone. Hopefully my scan will be early December so I will have a bit of time before xmas. Fortunately I don't have to tell my dad as he hasn't been in my life since I was a toddler.

Skee · 29/10/2016 20:36

Dizzy I'm really sorry to hear about your nan. I understand where your mum's coming from, but ultimately, you need to make the decision that's best for you. Hope it doesn't cause you too much stress x

Masweetpea1 · 29/10/2016 20:36

Wish me luck for tomorrow, I'm telling my dad...... He's absolutely besotted with my daughter but said about 9 months ago that he didn't think we should have another due to my age (41). He thinks its too risky.

I'm hoping he won't be too judgemental particularly as we'll be telling him about the mc in July and the risk with this pregnancy too. Mainly telling him because we need his help with my very active toddler! I'm in quite a bit of pain with this bleed, so need to take it easy.

Re-reading that back makes it sound terrible!!! Oh god!

Confused
Skee · 29/10/2016 20:38

Tonight's dinner has consisted of salted popcorn and fruit mentos.

... I'm not even trying to fight the cravings anymore 😳

HazyHazyJeans · 29/10/2016 20:53

I'm so sorry panda Flowers

Hope it goes well sweetpea. My dad was very shocked as he didn't realise we were even thinking of a second. I think he was happy though Confused I'm sure your dad will be thrilled for you

My 'bump' is out of control. I'm only 6 weeks but it's huge already. It wasn't like this at all last time. Showed my mum & she asked if it was sextuplets Hmm I'll need to invest in some baggy tops!

Mommytobe2017 · 29/10/2016 20:57

So sorry panda Flowers

I wondered when cravings started skee
I just want anything I see or hear about. There was a van selling bacon sandwiches outside wickes... Went into b&m and bought bacon for tomorrow!!

I'm going to put on soooo much weight. Just gorged myself on pizza and loads of chips. It's nice to feel full but I realise it won't last long... 😣

There is a twix calling my name...
