six definitely ring. I'd call epu and ask them, better than sitting worrying on your own Smile

sleepylil · 18/10/2016 14:02

six id give mw or epu a quick call out of earshot. Sitting and worrying will be horrible for you x

VeganMama83 · 18/10/2016 14:28

Six hope you can call someone to get checked or reassure you? xx

HelloMist · 18/10/2016 15:09

thanks Skee, looks like you did :)

Should I post a screenshot here of us so far or can everyone view OK? wasn't sure if people would mind details being on the thread... any objections?

HelloMist · 18/10/2016 15:18

well done for trying anyway Peace! thanks Sundaygal.

I've added you myusername2015.

LilyCat click here: Spreadsheet hope that works. Add yourself if you want :)

I'm having some pains today and no other symptoms for a few days, hope all is OK in there. Confused Off to find some distraction.

Dontstepinthecowpat · 18/10/2016 15:27

Argh! Have added myself to the spreadsheet, scary that this is really happening. Can't believe DH and I have this lovely secret between us.

six hope you are ok - could you send DH a text that DS wouldn't know about?

Masweetpea1 · 18/10/2016 15:29

I'm having pains as well today mist. Sharp ones in my left ovary so have gone home from work to rest before i collect my dd from nursery. It's nerve wraking this whole pregnancy thing.
Something I'd probably never think twice about normally has got me going home to bed!

peaceloveandbiscuits · 18/10/2016 15:37

I got my scan appointment in the post today. I guess it's really happening.

haveacupoftea · 18/10/2016 15:46

Yeah mojitos I haven't had any bleeding or anything so I am just going on as if everything is normal.. bit worried about MMC in the back of my mind but I do wonder if I just got a bit excited about symptoms and nearly made myself sick with nerves whereas now I have got used to the idea of being pregnant the symptoms have calmed down a bit.

Sorry to hear about the bleeding six - have you got an EPU nearby you could drop into? I think the rule is you don't worry TOO much about bleeding without cramps but just get checked out.

Myusername2015 · 18/10/2016 15:56

Thinking of you six...I hope it's settled down.💐

Sixisthemagicnumber · 18/10/2016 16:23

Thanks everyone for the lovely messages. The bleeding has stopped now but I have been to the toilet a ridiculous number of times to check. I tried to ring DH but couldn't get hold of him as he is working somewhere that he can't have his phone today. I don't have a midwife yet as they told me to phone back to register when I am 7 weeks (currently 5 weeks). I have for the number for the EPU but was worried that they would tell me to come in and then the 13 year old would be asking questions and I would have to take the little one with me and he has only just turned one. It all sounds silly written down and of course I should have rung the EPU. I don't know what I am going to do if I start bleeding again tomorrow as it is the 13 year olds birthday (he is actually 13 tomorrow) and I don't want to trot off to the hospital on his birthday (he is on half term this week).
I'm sure I am making this far more complicated than it needs to be.

Sixisthemagicnumber · 18/10/2016 16:24

There was just enough pink blood to soak through my knickers but not my clothes. I don't know if that is sufficient to be concerned about but even a drop would probably have me panicking.

MumofthreeandBean · 18/10/2016 16:39

I hope it puts your mind at ease x

MumofthreeandBean · 18/10/2016 16:41

Hopefully implantation bleeding if you say you are around 5 weeks possibly you may not be that far along xxx

Mummy2squish · 18/10/2016 16:48

Hugs six any more and deffo get yourself to the epu even if it's just to get some reassurance for yourself.

I think I've just put myself on the list? Not sure!!

Sixisthemagicnumber · 18/10/2016 16:55

I am definitely not less than 5 weeks mumofthree. I could be a couple of days over 5 weeks but the 5 weeks is calculated on my absolutely longest cycle. I got a BFP 6 days before my period was due and I do t think I could have done if I had been less pregnant than I thought Confused

BoBo90 · 18/10/2016 17:07

six Light bleeding in early pregnancy is normal so I have everything crossed for you that's it just little bean getting cosy! 😊

I had my booking in appointment today and it's finally feeling more real! Checked out a virtual tour of the birth centre on YouTube and looks great so I'm feeling much happier today 😁

I was also told by another mumsnetter that she had an early scan and was told she was a week earlier than she thought only to have her 12 week scan and be told it was 3 days more than she originally thought and that early scans aren't very accurate 🤔😩 so I'm going back to assuming I'm 7 weeks based on my very confident ov/conception dates! 😁

Hope everyone is feeling well and not too much moing sickness xxx

7+1

Mommytobe2017 · 18/10/2016 17:12

Hi, finally home after a long day at work. I'm on my feet most if the day so my back is aching Sad
I try and sit down as often as I can but it still hurts

Six Hope everything is ok Smile

Still no naseua. I'm going to eat my arrowroot biscuits religiously though and hope for the best.

For the moment though, I'm hungry... Again... Grin

Bobo Can I ask what happens in the first appt? I'm booked in for 8th Nov and the receptionist said 45 mins

peaceloveandbiscuits · 18/10/2016 17:30

Booking in appointment goes thusly: you wee in a pot, they take lots of blood, you fill in a huge amount of information on you, your partner (don't be shocked when they ask if you're related), your family history, previous pregnancies and births, the hospital you want to give birth at, and they flood you with information about what you should be doing when and where and how and what to do in an emergency etc. Then you take your notes home with you and promptly lose them take them to every appointment thereafter.

OP posts:
peaceloveandbiscuits · 18/10/2016 17:31

Oh and they weigh you and take your blood pressure.

OP posts:
BoBo90 · 18/10/2016 17:46

Mommy - it pretty much goes exactly how peace said :) I didn't find it too much of an information overload though :) mine took an hour xxx

beanbag19 · 18/10/2016 17:53

Thanks for the new thread, and the spreadsheet!

Hope you're ok six.

DH left for a few days working away at 5am yesterday and I didn't manage to get back to sleep so was exhausted yesterday. DS still wakes frequently throughout the night too so didn't get much sleep last night either.

I really thought I'd be a bit more relaxed this pregnancy but I'm worse if anything. Kind of feel like we've been so lucky that this time something is bound to go wrong. I keep running to the loo convinced that I'm going to see blood! Can't wait to feel movement so that at least I know baby is ok!!

Poppydm · 18/10/2016 18:37

Hi Ladies, can I hop back on? I've tried adding myself to the spreadsheet but only have my phone to do it on and it's not working. Could anyone help? Name Poppy, Age 33, location North East, EDD 04.06.17, DC1.
Thanks so much in advance. Glad to hear the sickness is passing for some of you. My pants have felt mega tight today. Think their days are numbered! Hmm

peaceloveandbiscuits · 18/10/2016 18:52

I've stopped taking the 5mg folic acid and have gone back to the regular dose. The change in me is incredible. I couldn't get out of bed all weekend and was dizzy, felt like I was walking through fog, and almost fainted a few times. Now I can function and the sickness is totally manageable, have been out with DS both days and managed to cook for him and play with him.
I didn't take the increased dose last pregnancy and DS is fine so I'm going to risk it again for the sake of my own health. No way I could do another six weeks feeling like that!
