Morning everyone 😆

So sorry Bobo

Woke up with a horrendous headache this morning. Ughh. Got mom and MIL round for tea too. Trying to get them to know each other a bit better before bean arrives.
Hopefully my head will be better soon. I have to go shopping too...

I think my hunger is getting worse... Shock

Really sorry to hear your news bobo Flowers

I am so round this morning! I swear I've woken up with a 4 month bump. I have no idea why, baby is the size of a blueberry. I think it must just be bloat.

I'm not sure how much weight I've gained as something dropped onto our bathroom scales the other day and broke them (they came back to life briefly to tell me I weighed 18.5 stone - I'm usually 9.5 - then died again). Pretty sure I haven't doubled my body weight! Plan to get some new ones soon as I love tracking my weight change during and after pregnancy.

So sorry bobo Flowers

The nausea is getting worse every day, this morning I couldn't finish my breakfast as I started gagging on it... train and tube was pretty bad too.

Going home to parents this weekend - we've not told them yet and plan to wait another month at least, but I fear my inability to eat without making faces will give me away...

Gone ahead and booked a private scan for around 8 weeks.

Has anybody had an internal scan? The EPU have asked me to come in later this morning for an internal scan due to the recurrent pinkish discharge. I'm guessing I'm too early for an abdominal scan but I am a bit daunted at the thought of an internal scan.

Sorry to hear that bobo Flowers

Boobs seem to be growing by the day!

Sorry to hear your news bobo. Flowers

six I've had internal scans before. Its kind of like a smear but not painful. Imagine the largest penis, all lubed up and they put that inside you Grin. Its ok actually and because they're talking to you the whole time you don't really notice it. They did tell me to relax though, i must have been clenching Blush. Good luck today

We have another scan today due to previous mc, so fingers crossed.

I feel like we live in an igloo...

To top it off the heating wouldn't come on first thing this morning either.

I wouldn't mind but my body knows as soon as the heating has gone off. So for an hour I'm lovely and toasty then bam freezing again... ❄⛄

I did have the sense though to put towels on radiator before shower!!

Sixisthemagicnumber · 27/10/2016 11:43

I've been and had the scan. It was an internal scan but wasn't as bad as I feared. The sonographers was lovely and managed to see a heartbeat. I was measuring around 6 weeks but she said it could be a few days more as it is hard to be exact at this early stage and he was tucked right up against my uterus wall making him hard to measure. She gave me a picture Smile

VeganMama83 · 27/10/2016 11:51

That's great six! Wonder if I will need internal tomorrow then? Will be 7+3 so hopefully might be ok, however even tho I've lost over 5st I do have some excess skin so they might still find it hard!

Monkeyandthebear · 27/10/2016 11:52

Hey I am starting to feel pretty rough at work in the mornings these days. Only told one friend so there is someone on site who knows (she will do my risk assessments later and is a first aider too so seemed like the sensible choice). Think I might need to tell my colleague too. Only two of us do our job and i think it is going to be pretty obvious soon. Managed to drink decaf tea without him noticing so far but don't think he will take long to catch on.

DH is having a pretty rough time at work right now and I think he is starting to suffer with stress. I think being pregnant is worrying him as he feels he has to provide etc, but it isn't the only thing stressing him. I am not sure what to do or how to help. We are going to book a weekend in London and then we have both sets of parents visiting and we are going to tell them then so trying to make lots of positive things happen. I have told him if he wants to leave his job we will work it out together etc but I am not really sure how to handle this. I think my hormones are making me cry (at nothing as well as genuine tearful moments) so then he starts apologiiaig because I am crying. Does anyone have any advice? I feel like I don't know who to speak to because no one knows we are pregnant.

Sixisthemagicnumber · 27/10/2016 12:00

If it is a private scan vegan they usually only do abdominal scans. I had a scan at the EPU as I have had lots of pink discharge over the past week. Some hospitals do abdominal scans from 7 weeks but some only from 8 weeks. I am quite small so im not sure that body size was part of the decision to do internal scan.

oliversmummy26 · 27/10/2016 12:01

So sorry to hear that BoBo Flowers sending hugs.

After yesterday horrendous nausea I had none today, and tummy hurts a little when I cough, so I'm worried now too! It's such a worry when you have to wait so long for the 12 week scan Sad

Re. NCT my ex and I went when we were expecting DS, to be honest most of the information we were given I already knew, but it was good for ex as he had no idea. The breastfeeding was generally crap, DS had a tongue tie and feeding initially was excruciatingly painful. So many midwives looked at him and said, "oh he has a tongue tie"...but as he was still feeding and putting on weight no one was all that bothered about my bleeding nipples! Finally I had a lovely midwife who referred us to have it sorted and instantly feeding was so much easier. I will forever have the scars on my nipples though Sad

I think it's probably just luck, but the mums at our NCT were all brill and we would meet up every week when the babies were tiny. It got less and less as they got to about 6 months, but we're still in touch.

I don't think I'll bother this time and get a mum network from baby groups when baby's here rather than NCT..

MissisBee · 27/10/2016 12:52

So sorry bobo

Glad you had good news six

I'm also on my second day nausea free. It's so hard not to panic that something's gone wrong, especially in the middle of the night. DH and I have a night away and nice dinner booked tomorrow so no doubt it'll reappear in time for that!

MrsPotatoHead80 · 27/10/2016 14:14

Thank you everyone for telling me not to panic. I've actually started feeling really nauseous again, quite dizzy & am having to pee at the beginning, end & in the middle of all the sessions today so I'm feeling much better about it all...in a weird feeling like poop kind of way.

MissisBee · 27/10/2016 14:32

MrsPotato yes, isn't it weird thinking, thank goodness I need to barf! Went out for lunch with colleagues today and as soon as I started eating thought eugh I don't want this and knew everything was OK!

oliversmummy26 · 27/10/2016 14:45

OK, so I'm only 5+2, and it already feels like an age since I found out, time is going by so slowly!! Anyone else able to think of anything except these babies? I'm googling everything I possibly can about pregnancy when I should be working and want to be at home knitting and crocheting and making baby things!! I'm researching stollers and car seats and new cars - I am so out of control!! Shock

Mommytobe2017 · 27/10/2016 15:14

oliversmummy I'm on the hunt for new crochet blanket patterns and some wool. Have managed to refrain going to the wool shop till I get paid... On Monday Grin

I have almost been having panic attacks at the cost of prams and cots and all the clothes and stuff Shock

Trying not to think about it yet. Not until I'm 12 weeks then I'll go crazy Grin

MissisBee · 27/10/2016 15:20

I am having to restrain myself from starting to knit baby things. Trying to finish a pair of socks for DH so that will hopefully keep me occupied another few weeks

Donostia · 27/10/2016 15:21

oliversmummy we must be due date buddies!! I'm also a crocheter, I've never done a blanket (don't often have the patience!) but will start one after Christmas once I've got presents out of the way.

it does feel like an age since i found out, especially as I found out on holiday, but now I have DS it isn't as mind numbingly boring as it was last time!

the boob ache has really stepped up a notch today though. jolting with each step I take!

Monkeyandthebear · 27/10/2016 15:32

Oliversmummy we are both 5 + 2. I have know I am pregnant for 6 days and it feels like a lifetime!!! I too am starting to research products but mainly trying to get through to the booking appointment then telling the parents then the scan.

I knit and have some wool that I got hand dyed colours from our first dance. I never knew what it was suppose to be, but think I am going to knit baby's going home cardigan and hat. Want to get started but not until after 12 weeks. Will do a blanket too. Got a blanket to finish for a friend who is due in December so that will keep me going past 12 weeks.

MumofthreeandBean · 27/10/2016 15:50

I crochet too!! Love it, I'm in the middle of mermaid tails and blankets for nieces and nephews but once that's over with I'm making baby bits!!

Got my scan date today! 22nd November!! Ages away, I will be 12.1 by then

Donostia · 27/10/2016 15:58

I quite like the look of this on ravelry and it might be fun to make! Not very muted and classy though.. maybe I could do two!?

Mooseville · 27/10/2016 16:43

Oh I LOVE that blanket!!!!

I have never crocheted in my life - I'm not sure I could make that but now I really want to!

flossie79 · 27/10/2016 17:12

Hi everyone
Can I join you please? I am 37 and this will be our first baby. A bit nervous but excited too! I have been holding back posting because I still can't really believe it to be honest, no real symptoms apart from sore boobs and a few tummy cramps, however I have done 5 tests and they all say the same thing so it must be true!
I think I am currently 6+4 and due 18th June. Off to the doctor tomorrow to get the ball rolling!

PropagatingaPanda · 27/10/2016 17:49

Started getting watery pinkish brown discharge and cramps last night which went away then came back this afternoon so called EPU and they've booked me in for trans vaginal scan tomorrow morning. Very anxious although I did have something similar at this stage with DS. Fingers crossed.
