mumofthree I'm planning to BF, I BF DS until 13months and he had the occasional bottle from 7 months. Bottles are way too much faff & I am far too lazy so I won't be doing that again.

I'm also opting for a homebirth, anyone else?

I've received the appt for my nuchal on 6th Dec but my booking appointment hasn't come through yet.

NappingRabbit · 24/10/2016 17:17

I'm also planning to breastfeed, I breastfed DS to 13 months. And I would also like a home birth this time - I had a v straightforward birth with DS and got to hospital 10cm dilated so it was barely worth the (massive) effort involved in the car ride and dash from the car to the ward.

PurpleHaze1 · 24/10/2016 17:28

I'm planning to bf again too. BFed DD to 14 months last time. She was a complete bottle refuser until I stopped the boob. Wouldn't mind trying to encourage this one to take EBM in a bottle as well as boob!

I considered a home birth but have decided against it. I know a few people who have done it & had wonderful experiences Smile

Am I the only one whose boobs haven't grown massively? Hmm I'm small chested anyway and they didn't grow last time either. Except when my milk came in & I looked like Jordan! I still have my non-underwired Mat bras and feeding bras from last time which I'm assuming will fit again.

I fainted earlier & then was sick Confused luckily I was just at home with DH but it was a bit grim! Looks like the symptoms are finally kicking in!

I'm going to sign off for a bit ladies. I've just had some brown stringy discharge (tmi) and am feeling quite achey and crampy so I'm not convinced this is going to happen for me.

My epu won't see me until 6 weeks here so it's a bit of a waiting game really. If nothing has happened by Friday I'll ask to be referred but I think something will do by then.

Might check in again in a while if not good luck lovelies xxx

Sixisthemagicnumber · 24/10/2016 17:39

I plan to breastfeed. I've only this week gone back into normal bras as I just finished breastfeeding ds3
((12 months old) Last week. It's nice that he has gone straight from breast to a beaker of milk which isn't formula so I don't have to faff about mixing it up.

MoonlightMojitos · 24/10/2016 18:02

haze my boobs haven't grown yet either. I am 32e to start with though so thankful for that! I bought 2 new bras literally a few weeks before I got my BFP so happy to be getting some use from them haha.

mummy hope everything is ok, I think brown is nothing to worry about but I know that doesn't stop the worry. Fx for friday.

I rang today to try and book an early scan as there is a place 5 mins from me that does them only it turns out they only do them Wednesday mornings so that's gone out the window now :(. No way I can get this weds off such short notice and I already have next Monday off for my booking appointment. Plus I only have 1 day holiday left for the year which I'm saving for proper dating scan so was hoping to get an evening appointment. The only other place near ish is 45 mins away and Monday evening appointments only although fully booked tonight and next Monday! I'll be 9 and half weeks by the Monday after so might as well wait as nhs one could come through early at 11ish weeks anyway!

PurpleHaze1 · 24/10/2016 18:19

Hope everything's ok mummy

PurpleHaze1 · 24/10/2016 18:21

moonlight that's rubbish about the private scan. All the ones I've looked at have Saturday appointments. Having said that, the early scans aren't really necessary so you might just be best saving your ££ for something else Smile

Masweetpea1 · 24/10/2016 18:29

Hope you're ok mummy

Poppydm · 24/10/2016 19:13

I'm with you all on coldness too! Not sure about a bump Purple but definitely getting huge boobs and feel massively bloated constantly. Got my appointment with the MW in the morning. Just wondering if any of you have thought about the tests/screening checks? I've just been reading through the booklet they give you and it just freaks me out a bit. I worry that a lot of the checks just tell you the likelihood. There's not really any that are diagnostic. Which are you all planning on having?

Poppydm · 24/10/2016 19:13

Really hope everything is ok
Mummy. Thinking of you.

MumofthreeandBean · 24/10/2016 19:14

mummy. Big hugs xx hope all is ok

My boobies are a 38c - not massive, they have filled up some but not grown too much, I remember when my milk came in with my first - wow!! HUGE didn't know what to do with them 😂😂

MumofthreeandBean · 24/10/2016 19:15

purple bump - I have been convinced I'm showing since 5 weeks, but I lie down and it disappears! I do get a lot of bloating with my IBS so I think mine is mainly that 😂

Kat1616 · 24/10/2016 19:22

Monkeyandthebear I've told my instructors and they've been supportive. I do boxfit, body combat and body pump and he told me to continue with all of them, just adapt to do low impact moves and resuce weights. I went on the Les Mills site and they not doing combat, but my instructor says they're just being cautious.

Hope everyone's well! I'm shattered!

Mommytobe2017 · 24/10/2016 19:42

Thinking of you mummy Flowers

My heartburn has started now... Ughh it's horrible!

I also feel like I've been stretching my sides all day. I've hardly done anything. Must be everything getting ready. Going to settle down in front of the TV now and possibly, most likely, fall asleep.

Hope you all have a good night 😆

MoonlightMojitos · 24/10/2016 19:45

haze there is another place that does Saturdays but my oh works Saturdays and can't take it off! We just really wanted one because I had a mc last time and we're almost a week past that point now so just wanted some reassurance really. But you're right it will save us the money!

poppy that's true, they only give you a number like 1/1000 or whatever not a definately answer. I think we will have the basic ones anyway just because might as well.

HazyHazyJeans · 24/10/2016 20:08

Mommy I had heartburn the other night too. I only really get it when pregnant. Fwiw the old wives' tale is BS, I had heartburn really bad with DD and she was as bald as coot! Grin

It's PurpleHaze1 by the way! Even I was getting confused with the two purples Halloween Grin I'll update the spreadsheet

MoonlightMojitos · 24/10/2016 21:21

Just had to make toast although only had dinner at 7.30! Absolutely starving... don't know if there's any point weighing myself or not as it wouldn't stop me eating anyway lol

MumofthreeandBean · 24/10/2016 21:24

moonlight I'm loving toast right now!!!

Mommytobe2017 · 24/10/2016 21:49

hazyhazyjeans I think asda's version of gaviscon will be my new best friend

My friend said she pretty much drank it by the bottle...

Dragon5000 · 24/10/2016 22:37

I was a 36g in already in my 42j feeding bras from before although the band isn't quite right. Hoping they don't get much bigger!

I'm having ask the tests just for knowledge wouldn't ever change anything. They don't do nuchal here anymore everything is done through bloods.

I feel huge Def got fat not sure it came be called a bump though!

Got my booking on Friday all feeling a bit real!

8+5

ShortLashes · 25/10/2016 00:09

Just been catching up....Congrats to all the newcomers! I'm 6+3 and already getting up in the night about 4 times to wee. Same thing happened in my first pregnancy for the whole 9 months, argh! It's extra frustrating as my 11month old is finally sleeping through, yet I'm still having to get up! Still, keep reminding myself how lucky I am all things considered.

mrspage1985 · 25/10/2016 06:48

Poppy I had booking in appt yesterday and said yes to every test available
Now having read up on it more I'm tempted to pay for the private NIPT test as these are apparently way more accurate and non invasive / harmful as just a blood test.
They can be done from 10w so would only be just over a week away for me.

Is anyone else thinking of having these tests even before the NHS ones come in?
