I've been feeling dreadful today, think mainly tiredness as I haven't slept well all week. Had a big nap this afternoon and feel loads better. Had a bit of sleep paralysis for the first time in years so that confirmed how behind I was. Have a work friend's baby shower tonight, was dreading it earlier but now looking forward to it.
Just went up to the shop and bought ginger nuts, ginger beer, cream crackers and salt and vinegar crisps. If that's not a giveaway, I don't know what is!!

MissisBee · 22/10/2016 17:08

Ooh, super noodles. Good idea!

Mummy2squish · 22/10/2016 17:52

I just bought noodles for my lunch at work on Monday! Also bought some of that mulled juice for my Saturday treat. Went for afternoon tea with my mum and I didn't really fancy the cakes. Very unlike me I just wanted the sandwiches. Nearly gave myself away!

haveacupoftea · 22/10/2016 17:55

I ended up not even having noodles i just had tea and toast! Poor baby is trying to grow on a diet of crisps, sweets, belvita biscuits and toast Blush

Skee · 22/10/2016 18:05

Evening everyone, hope we're all doing well?

Made it out for that ride Mojitos, but I had to stop at the top of every hill feeling like I was about to vom 😂

I kept nibbling on banana all the way round and it seemed to really help.

I'm normally much faster on the way down, but oddly found myself being a bit precious?! Unhappy on the busier roads with faster cars, and braking down hills - so not like me?! Must be a subconscious self-preservation thing..?

Anywho, I'm now absolutely starving for chicken super noodles 😂

Masweetpea1 · 22/10/2016 18:17

Bleurgh, super noodles, now that makes me want to vom Wink
I think we're getting Domino's tonight Grin
Its 'at home' date night in place of last Saturday when i was throwing up (we had a babysitter and restaurant booked as well Sad)

Very impressed with your cycling Skee! I'm too scared lazy to cycle on roads at the best of times

I fell asleep trying to get DD to sleep earlier. Woke up in an uncomfortable position on her floor Blush luckily she had fallen asleep too. I think this must be pg related as I slept 10 hours last night too!

DH is out tonight so I've got a night of Strictly, humous & irn bru planned. Classy! HmmGrin

haveacupoftea · 22/10/2016 18:33

Just settling down for Strictly myself Smile

Skee · 22/10/2016 18:44

Aww bless!

Enjoy your date night Ma!

Enjoy your evening too ladies, humous... now there's an idea?! x x

Kat1616 · 22/10/2016 19:29

Just found the thread and want to say hi to everyone! I'm a first time mum and feeling really excited, yet really enxious at the same time! Phoning the doctors on Monday so hooefully seeing the midwife will be reassuring!

Tulip2013 · 22/10/2016 19:48

Hi Kat! Welcome!

Random question... is anyone else's hair falling out loads? I thought it was meant to grow in pregnancy?!?

Mommytobe2017 · 22/10/2016 20:16

I had a big mac today. It seems whatever anyone suggests, I want it. I was so hungry and still hungry after it Shock So I ate some more pringles and over the day I've eaten a whole (little) box of cadbury fingers...

Ughh... I hate being hungry.

Dragon5000 · 22/10/2016 20:18

Hey hey!
I've forgotten everything I've just read already, I'm bloody useless at the best of times!

Today I discovered lemon and grapefruit squash + fizzy water = pink lemonade! New favourite thing!

I've found nausea is subsiding as long as I eat properly, had a cheese roll for breakfast and felt fine till lunch. I'm a big sweet fan but not really fussed by sweet things at all atm very weird for me. Managing to eat yoghurt again which is ace as I'm determined not to put too much weight on

Hair wise anything is possible! It may grow quicker and thicker so fall out easier tulip

KittyVonCatsington · 22/10/2016 20:52

I don't have much nausea either and didn't last time but I do have horrendous constipation, with colon pain and probably will get piles again, which is so unfortunate in terms of talking about it-I call it one of the unmentionable symptoms! At least this time, I already have Lactulose! Grin

LilyCat43 · 22/10/2016 21:42

Got my letter today from the midwife. I don't book in for another 3.5 weeks first scan at 12.5 weeks. Feels aaaaaaaages away! :-( lol

A July due dates thread has been started! I don't know why this made me happy but I kind of feel like we're over a small hurdle now or something?

Haha well done skee! Of corse that's normal to be feeling a bit protective of bump!

Thanks for the tip anna I'm a fan of (decaf) gingerbread lattes so may give them a go!

Hope you enjoy the baby shower missis!

Welcome kat!

Oooh tea I'm off sweet things at the mo but a nice warm crumble with ice cream sounds devine!!!

People need to stop mentioning foods! It makes me want all these different things! I managed a cottage pie for dinner with lots of veg so feeling a bit better about what I've put in there today ignoring the 3 packets of crisps

MoonlightMojitos · 22/10/2016 22:25

I'm having lunch tomorrow with a pregnant friend (she's 20 something weeks now) were not very close, meet up every few months for a catch up, but I'm tempted to tell her so I have someone IRL to moan to about how crap I'm feeling. None of my close friends have kids yet or are ttc and it would be nice to talk to someone but at the same time I feel a bit guilty that she'll know before my best friends and family do! I've told one friend and my mum but that's it.

LilyCat43 · 22/10/2016 22:52

I don't think there's anything wrong with telling a friend. I've told a friend of mine that has a six month old baby. I can moan to her and she tells me if it's normal! Lol Xx

MumofthreeandBean · 23/10/2016 00:32

My hair is coming out too, it's one thing I remember from my other pregnancys and what prompted me to poas !!

Can't remember what else I was going to write now 🙀

I'm awake now, been waiting for dd to get in from a night out with a boy!! You lot have a while to wait for that!!

I seem to be living on soup and ready salted crisps 😹

MissisBee · 23/10/2016 01:10

Thanks moonlight I'm only just home. Was a lovely evening although I felt quite sick when I got there and worried how I was going to manage dinner. Once I got started I was fine though and apart from being knackered, fell better than I have done all day.
I know how you feel about having to tell someone too. Haven't told my parents yet but just HAD to get it out so told the friend who's baby shower it was.

Skee · 23/10/2016 04:34

Welcome Kat!

Urgh. Lying in the dark, forcing Rich Tea biscuits down, trying not to vom. This is not how I envisioned pregnancy...

When do we get the glowing skin and luscious locks?? I look and feel hungover and have the skin of a pubescent teenager. Hurrumph.

Myfirstbornisacollie · 23/10/2016 05:48

Skee I'm lying in the dark waiting for my anti sickness tablet to dissolve and start working. Early morning insomnia and sickness double crap
Went out for dinner last night and managed to keep it down so small victory. Think sickness is improving through day but I feel so hungry it's easy to eat to much than my stomach can handle.
Off to see SIL and family later we are still keeping it quiet so need to try and look normal could be challenging!!

qate · 23/10/2016 07:07

Ugh sorry for lack of response - insane week with the boss, so enjoying some much needed downtime this weekend!! Still no real symptoms here - being unrealistically nervous about it, even though I know that it's not that uncommon! First appointment with the doctor next week - super early, I know, but we have family arriving at the end of the week who we will need to tell (they are likely to guess otherwise if I am not drinking!!) and want to get checked out before.

Morning! Not been around for the last couple of days as I've been back at work Sad. I've been surprised to find I've had bags of energy, yesterday I didn't feel pregnant at all! Then I started to fall asleep on the train home (it's only a 15 minute journey!) so it was early to bed last night as I couldn't keep my eyes open. This was after DP and I stuffed our faces with Chinese takeaway!

Woke up this morning and feel like someone has whacked my boobs with a baseball bat.

I've just been grazing lots and not allowing myself to get hungry. Not sure if this is stopping me from getting nausea?

Ooh moonlight gingerbread decaf latte! Love it! Might have to treat myself to one today Grin

skee and collie hope you feel better later.

Off to work for me Hmm
