New thread - hope everyone finds this! I'll try and post the link in the old thread if it will let us go over 1,000 posts.

We went for the cosatto giggle and it was massively reduced - £430, including the car seat with free delivery. It's £470 in John Lewis plus an extra £120 for the car seat!

We also bought the ergo 360 which was reduced to £125, but the assistant gave us some extra off as my DH very kindly let her demonstrate it on him about 3 times whilst we were there for a big group of women too pregnant to try it on Grin

Otherwise, we bought a MAM breastfeeding set with bottles, steriliser, breast pump etc. and a few other little bits and pieces.

Fenella, it sounds like you may have met my work colleague today....she rings ahead to venues to reserve a disabled parking space & was outraged when an airline refused to upgrade her to business for her 'baby moon'- she called them to tell them she was pg & request an upgrade Shock. Suffice to say she didn't get a whole load of sympathy when she toured the office telling people how badly she was being treated! They've nicknamed her 'Pregzilla'. She's an embarrassment to womankind Angry

Readyfortwo · 22/10/2016 21:27

Sounds like you had a good day at the show. Glad you managed to get your hands on a Medela Swing London....they've been a bit elusive! I'm slightly jealous of all the baby shopping, but not sure I could be bothered to battle my way through the hoards!

LondonGirl83 · 22/10/2016 21:57

Haha! Ready your colleague sounds delusional! We didn't get there until around 2:30pm. By then, it wasn't actually that crowded. We had to wait a short while to be attended to at the busiest stands but in general there was no queuing and certainly no jostling!

GinIsIn · 22/10/2016 22:00

Ready - ha!!! Yup, that sounds like her!! does your colleague look likes she's chewing on a wasp? If so it was definitely the same person.... Grin

Readyfortwo · 22/10/2016 22:48

Yes! She once told me she has a 'resting bitch face' and then got upset because I didn't disagree with her....

Shellbell0403 · 22/10/2016 23:12

So today I am suffering! Went on a cleaning frenzy cleaning out my cupboards and then cleaning out the fridge etc... then went out to shops etc and then had family up for dinner!
Now very sore and uncomfortable... bump feels heavy 🙁 Not felt much today but maybe cos been on my feet all day? Can we use hot water bottles on back etc?

LondonGirl83 · 22/10/2016 23:15

Shell hot water bottles on your back are fine. My physiotherapist at St Thomas recommended I do so and she's a antenatal physiotherapy specialist.

Sorry to hear you've run yourself ragged!

Shellbell0403 · 23/10/2016 08:07

Morning ladies... hope all is well.

It's my birthday today and I could really go a glass of wine... think it would be OK? 🍷🍾

GinIsIn · 23/10/2016 08:18

Happy birthday!!! A glass of wine will be one, I'm sure.... but maybe not at 8am.... Grin

LondonGirl83 · 23/10/2016 10:13

Happy Birthday Shell

A glass of wine is fine. The book 'Expecting Better' says its best if you have it with a meal as that doubly ensures it doesn't go into your bloodstream though one glass is very unlikely to anyhow because of the way alcohol is metabolised. Enjoy!

Oneiroi · 23/10/2016 10:25

Happy birthday Shell! Have fun!

kikisdelivery · 23/10/2016 10:51

Happy birthday Shell! Have a great day and enjoy your glass of wine - it'll be fine! Grin Flowers

CeeCeeEnnEss · 23/10/2016 11:51

Happy birthday! I've not stopped having wine, just have a lot less and less frequently. Enjoy!

Naschkatze · 23/10/2016 14:04

Happy Birthday! Enjoy your glass of wine! Wine

CeeCeeEnnEss · 23/10/2016 17:35

I had a voucher for a private scan so today we got a little glimpse at our future baby girl! It was so weird but really lovely :)

ScottishSnowflake · 23/10/2016 17:49

So beautiful CeeCee Smile

Shellbell0403 · 23/10/2016 19:53

Can I ask, when ur trying to feel the baby move and lie on ur right side, how long does it normally take to feel movement?

Shellbell0403 · 23/10/2016 19:57

Sorry ment left side

Newmummy2017 · 23/10/2016 20:52

Hi shell I would try not to worry too much about movements before your 28 weeks as my understanding is the little one can still be on hideout. I have been worried today after not
Feeling much especially after my small bleed yesterday and I have lied of my side a few times to try and prompt movements and it didn't really work...
However baby is suddenly become a bit more active now I'm watching x-factor!

LondonGirl83 · 23/10/2016 20:52

Scottish that 3D image is incredible! My DH wants to do one as well but I want to wait until I'm further along if we do it

Another good day at the expo! We have asked them to hold our deliveries until December so don't have to worry about things coming too early. The only big things we need to pick up now are the changing bag, baby monitor, sling(s), and sleepyhead. Loads of little things still to get though that all add up but I feel like I've made a proper dent in my list this weekend.

Didn't get to finish the nursery though as the expo took way more time than anticipated. That will have to be bounced to next weekend or the one after that. I really want to finish all the heavy stuff /DIY before the 3rd trimester starts as I hear our energy levels will plummet again!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

gumbootsandjandals · 23/10/2016 21:20

If you want baby to move my best recommendation is chocolate or a sweet cup of tea. Lie, sit, bounce on a ball, whatever is most comfortable for you.

LunaPatuna · 24/10/2016 07:01

Have an obstetric Physio appointment this am, hopefully they can give me some exercises for my various grumbles. Can't seem to get comfy at night with ribcage, shoulder, pelvic pain but I know I've still been really lucky so far! Just want to strengthen up what I can :/

CeeCeeEnnEss · 24/10/2016 09:18

Who was it who couldn't sleep? I'll join you, was awake from 1.30am and have burning anxiety today. Hurrah.

LondonGirl83 · 24/10/2016 09:22

Luna the exercises will definitely help! Good luck- I met with the physio too

I've got the dentist today at 10am do am now rushing!
