London I signed up for pregnancy yoga a few months ago, but there's a waiting list for the classes here. I have my first session on Wednesday - really looking forward to it! I can fall asleep anytime anywhere at the moment too - except when I wake up early in the mornings when for some reason I can't! So strange, but it was exactly the same last time too!

Baby constantly kicks after food, it's the sugar. She's also quite good at the tactical kick... this morning DH reached over and grabbed my boob when he woke up (in a nice way, I didn't mind) and she kicked him where his elbow was laying on my stomach. Made me laugh :)

I've been weeing at least twice a night. So annoying!

LondonGirl83 · 21/10/2016 16:30

My baby kicks the laptop when its on my stomach! Its a mac air so I didn't think it was heavy enough to bother her but your story ceecee just made the penny drop!

ScottishSnowflake · 21/10/2016 18:06

Hi all Smile I had my 25w midwife appointment today too and got another sneaky listen of the heartbeat. Had the midwife in stitches though as when she put the scope on my stomach, baby didn't like it and promptly kicked the scope away! He's got an attitude already Grin

PianoOnlyTheWhiteKeys · 21/10/2016 19:14

I had my 25wk today too, I haven't seen the same person any time I've been to the midwife appointments, will have one more at the Harris centre then move to a new hospital nearer new home before 32wk, eek, it'll be here in no time! Oh, and got MATB1 form too, phew...

I heard the heartbeat too, still don't know if boy or girl, I'm sure it sounded like a train (boy?) but heartbeat was over 150 (girl?) not sure the old wives tales mean much anyway but quite fun still not to know! I'm also getting lots of kicks, all the time, it's a feisty one, whichever it is! Any thoughts on which colour I should be shopping for?

Keepingupwiththejonesys · 21/10/2016 21:09

25 weeks today, going so fast! I managed to get a video last night of baby kicking away, can't believe how clear I can see movement from the outside!

piano we haven't found out either and baby is a real mover. Not loads during the day but non stop evening and night. I've already got two girls and my first was consistent with movement, just nice kicks now and then throughout the day. Second was moving all the time non stop lol. I've not heard the heartbeat for ages. Not seen the midwife since about 16 weeks! I see midwife around the 28 week point next. Had my 20 week scan between so happy all is well

Newmummy2017 · 21/10/2016 23:05

Ahh I am jealous of you mummies hitting 25 weeks, I'm not yet on 22! Grrr forget other mums aren't as kind as you folk, I was asking for some advice on a local mums group on Facebook about GP recommendations as I'm not a fan of mine and I put 'I have always struggled to get an appointment even when I ring as soon as it opens and only recently been able to see a nurse practitioner when I have played the pregnancy card' now I have backlash of mums telling me off for using the pregnancy card an jumping the queue. Perhaps 'playing' was the wrong term of phrase but there is a reason pregnant people get seen quicker, I wasn't cheating the system just following it. Just the same way that I would expect a child to get seen before me if we were both suffering from a similar condition. Grrr annoyed me

PianoOnlyTheWhiteKeys · 22/10/2016 08:47

I'm off to the Baby show soon with my big list! I know london you were saying you'd be there with your head in a sleepyhead to see if it was safe Smile but I've been researching other similar sleep pods and wonder if anyone has looked at the babymoov cosydream or the purflo breathable nest? Both are substantially cheaper than the sleepyhead and look safe.

Oh and anyone else going to the Baby Show today?

GinIsIn · 22/10/2016 09:25

Me! I will be there with reluctant DH in tow Grin

SBSparkles · 22/10/2016 10:06

26 weeks today! One app says I'm in the third trimester now but another says not! Getting close though! My baby kicks when I rest a book on my belly!! Hehe! He already wants all the attention! On a mini break at the mo - I complained about our hard tiny bed and they upgraded up to a 'privilege' room instead! Bliss! Smile getting yet another cold though! Boooo!

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 22/10/2016 10:12

Have skim read most of the recent posts.

I'm so tired at the moment, I'm not sleeping very well, work is super busy with a lot of travelling across the country. DS is so energetic, there's no let up and a lie in does not exist.
My DM would usually offer to have DS overnight to give us a bit of a rest, but she's just started chemo fir breast cancer Sad
Annoyingly, her last session is the week the baby is due, so the excitement of the baby has been over shadowed by this horrible disease!

I went to my first pregnancy yoga session on Wednesday and I loved it. It was so relaxing, and it has done my aches and pains in my pelvis the world of good. It's just a shame that it's only once a week!

LondonGirl83 · 22/10/2016 11:54

Heading to the baby show as well today. I'm having a slow start to the morning so will probably go this afternoon. See you ladies there.

The more I've looked into it, I'm pretty sure sleepyheads are perfectly safe though of course everyone has to make their own judgement call on this.

kikisdelivery · 22/10/2016 13:36

Have a lovely time at the baby show, ladies who're going!

My mission for the day is to do up an old chest of drawers for the nursery Smile - currently old antiquey-brown, but will hopefully finish life white with blue drawers. I am an enthusiastic DIY-er, but not necessarily a skilled one, so I'm going to take my time and do my best!!

Newmummy2017 · 22/10/2016 15:29

Afternoon! IfAtFirst I have been to pregnancy yoga a few weeks on the run now and found I have been able to remeber to do some ofthe exercises in between sessions at home- obviously it's not quite the same but you can get some of benefit.

I hope you ladies enjoyed the baby show. kikis you will have to show us a pic once you get the drawers done.

I had a bit of scare today. Found a small spot of blackish blood in my knickers when I went to the toilet. Rang up the labour ward and they seem pretty relaxed as have told me earlier in the week I have a spot of cervical erosion which can cause bleeding if knocked. I had my last cervical length exam on Wednesday so maybe it's from that.. they said the fact it was black and small amount shows it was old blood and not to worry unless it red. So scary though! I feel more anxious since passing 20 weeks than less. Perhaps it is because I feel more bonded with my baby.

GinIsIn · 22/10/2016 16:23

Ok please tell me this wasn't one of you ladies.... Grin In the queue for the loos, alongside lots of other obviously pregnant woman, and some entitled princess marched past the whole queue snapping "I can't possibly be expected to queue for the loo - I am PREGNANT, you know!" All of us were Hmm and nobody let her in!

PianoOnlyTheWhiteKeys · 22/10/2016 16:40

Ha Fenella, that wasn't me but I can imagine there were some madams around Hmm

We just left, quite happy with our haul of bits and trying out some things we'd seen online. Some ok discounts but not quite big enough to make unplanned purchases.

And London I didn't mean the Sleepyhead wasn't safe at all, just that I'm struggling to to justify the cost when I don't know if the baby will like it. I do really want one but thought the purflo looked a bargain at £50. The Cosydream was not what I was expecting when we saw it at the show though, ok for beds but too thin for putting on sofa, etc.

Good work on the DIY Kiki that's a project I have planned too, which paint did you use?

SBSparkles · 22/10/2016 17:19

Anyone else feeling really hormonal? Just lately am feeling tired again, really weird like I have a kind of pressure building in me, a bit like before I get a bad period. Feel like I want to cry all the time! Today I totally lost it because I was so tired and felt ill and we were two hours late for lunch and I burst into tears in the car with my poor husband! Bump is getting bigger and more uncomfortable! I just feel like staying home all the time as everything is too much effort!

Oneiroi · 22/10/2016 17:25

Fenella that is hilarious! Glad you all blanked her!

GinIsIn · 22/10/2016 17:28

She looked really shocked and annoyed we weren't all willing to let her queue jump as well!! Grin

In other news, we bought a pushchair! Feeling lots better now that we've ticked one of the 'big ticket' items off our list.

kikisdelivery · 22/10/2016 17:44

New I'll definitely put a pic up when it's done Smile. Stupidly I didn't take a Before picture! Duuuh! I'll have to see if I can find one.

Piano I used/am using Rust-Oleum. I wanted to get Annie Sloan but our nearest stockist is miles away so I couldn't be bothered! I got it from Homebase for £12 a tin and it's definitely thick and doesn't need a large coating! I have to do another coat tomorrow on the main body, which is white, and a very light coat on the blue drawers. I've had a look on Ebay and found some really cheery door/drawer handles in different styles so I'm going to replace the old scruffy handles with those.

Oneiroi · 22/10/2016 17:44

It must have been fun having all of that to choose from. Wish I'd known about it, although I probably shouldn't buy any more stuff...

Which pushchair did you go for?

LondonGirl83 · 22/10/2016 19:48

Fanella that wasn't me either! That woman sounds like an idiot...

The baby show was great but we didn't have enough time even though we were there for 3 hours! We got some great discounts though on the carseat, pram, swing breast pump etc. Overall I reckon we saved about 200 quid on retail which was worth the trip and ticket price.

I want to go back though to pick up some more stuff but only if there are discounts. Piano, Fanella do you know if the Baby Bjorn bouncer, any of the slings, the Hot Milk Bras, or the Baba Bing diaper bags were offering discounts? Also, I didn't see anyone selling the Sleepyhead, did you guys see it there? I also want to go back for a high chair and travel cot but I'm not sure the discounts are going to justify another set of tickets by themselves.

It's crazy how big the place is-- I had no idea!

LondonGirl83 · 22/10/2016 19:53

Ifatfirst so sorry to hear you are going through such a stressful time with work and with your mum. Flowers

Kiki that DIY project sounds fab. Tomorrow daytime was supposed to be dedicated to finishing off our DIY stuff for the nursery (hanging mobiles, shelves etc) but if we go back to the baby show that will have to be bumped to next Sunday. We are seeing friends on the Saturday so another busy weekend ahead.

One the show is still on tomorrow if you fancy going. You can pick up tickets at the door.

PianoOnlyTheWhiteKeys · 22/10/2016 20:36

london it was pretty big! DH found a spot to sit down about two hours in and I did the last hour catching up on bits we'd missed but still didn't see everything. Was glad we didn't have pram shopping to do too, that would have taken a while.

On the discounts, the best I spotted were on the MAM stand, Philips Avent, Tommee Tippee all had up to 50% off and babies r us had 20% off. We liked the ergobaby sling (we wanted one anyway) it was reduced to £125, £139 in John Lewis (but will buy it there with vouchers). I didn't see the Bjorn bouncer or sleepyhead, hard to see everything as lots of products hidden in big multi-brand stands but don't think sleepyhead was there.

Saw the icandy high chair, thought of you(!) it looks pretty impressive!

Thanks kiki for the tip on paint, I'll have a look at the colours, gender neutral of course!

LondonGirl83 · 22/10/2016 21:04

I saw the baby bjorn bouncer but didn't have a chance to ask about discounts so I know its there.

I need maternity bras and to be measured so part of me thinks that even if we just break even on the tickets it will be worth getting the last items and the bra fitting done in one go. Most likely there will be discounts I imagine though as the only thing that wasn't was the snuzpod-- all they were offering was a bundle which I believe they also offer online.
