Baby has moved happily after breakfast :) it was just hungry!

Lovewatchingrainfall · 13/11/2016 08:54

Had an awful nights sleep, could not get comfy this baby keeps moving and changing positions, which hurts. Keep getting braxton hicks which is a very weird feeling.

My DD has woken up with a cold and to make matters worse my husband has forgotten it's my birthday today and is in bed asleep as he is on nights tonight Sad.

Bigfam · 13/11/2016 09:39

Oh bless you barking
Glad baby got moving in the end south I have to agree with everyone regarding the braxton hicks, mine usually pick up around 2am, they're uncomfortable and I can't ever sleep until they stop.

Don't put too much pressure on yourself kitkat just go with whatever is right for you and your baby, whether that's continuing to bf (well done for sticking with it by the way) or trying formula, you're doing a brilliant job regardless.

Bigfam · 13/11/2016 09:41

Happy birthday lovewatchingrainfall
Hopefully your dh wakes later and makes your day a bit better.

Happy birthday rainfall!

Nojo82 · 13/11/2016 12:07

Happy birthday rainfall.. havent been on in a while as i seem to have changhef the way i view this page, its driving me mad. Its the desktop version, anyone know how to change it back? Im on my phone..

Anyway, i wrote on tbe fb page thus morning about not feeling very pregnant and having reduced movements. Eventually got baby moving and hes liking that im resting.. well anyone know if i should b worried about an increase in discharge. Yes ive had a lot of this throughout but today it just seems excessive. Anyone else had this?

Nojo82 · 13/11/2016 12:11

Forget that first msg, i found the mobile site.. yay!!!

goinggrey1978 · 13/11/2016 12:47

Nojo82, is it clear discharge?? i've had this for ages, think if it's a different colour or there's lots of it and it smells funny it's your plug, if i remember rightly the plug smells sweet, but don't quote, first time mum so trying to remember what the pro's have already said!!

Nojo82 · 13/11/2016 12:55

Its like a yellow colour. Have changed pad twice today already, so more than normal. Doesn't seem like mucus plug. Ive had 3 already. Would hate it to be my waters leaking and not knowing.

Londonmamabychance · 13/11/2016 12:58

Had hardly any movement all night and just one all morning Sad now in park with DD but getting more and more worried. Am almost 36 weeks

barkingtreefrog · 13/11/2016 13:09

London if you're at all concerned just call the hospital and see what they say. Have you tried a really cold drink and lying on your side?

Nojo I have a yellowish discharge and noticed it's been getting heavier/more frequent. My midwife said this was normal.

Rainfall outrageous!! Hope he's woken up and rectified the situation! Happy Birthday! Cake

Lovewatchingrainfall · 13/11/2016 13:09

Thank you for the birthday messages.

London please go get checked or call your local midwife unit and ask for advice.

Nojo I would also check with your local unit and make sure that it's all okay.

Bigfam · 13/11/2016 13:11

Give your maternity unit a call london
Not sure about the discharge nojo I've had increased discharge for months!

Nojo82 · 13/11/2016 13:33

Im gona wait till later. Same as you london i had no movement all night, same night before. Only seems to move when i stimulate him. So i had loads after lying down and having some coke but now hes quiet again..

I would get checked out London as that seems like very little movement..

Bigfam · 13/11/2016 13:48

I think you should also give them a call nojo there's confliciting opinions but lately I've heard you shouldn't try to get baby to move, if baby isn't moving as normal you should contact them.

Bumplovin · 13/11/2016 13:50

Thanks barkingtreefrog ive been wearing tubigrip and will ask for a pelvic support band on thurs, wondering whether to ask for crutches or not or whether to just grit my teeth for another 2 1/2 weeks. Im taking the paracetamol regular now instead of just at end of day x

goinggrey1978 · 13/11/2016 14:18

Bumplovin, yes i was told to take my paracetamol regularly as well, so at least 3 doses during the day and save the 4th dose for during the night and to use frozen peas or heat packs after 3 hours when the paracetamol starts to wear off as well

Londonmamabychance · 13/11/2016 15:57

rainfall happy birthday! Hope
You've had s good day so far.

Went to a cafe after the park and after eating cake and having tea the baby started moving quite a lot. Will keep an eye on movement for the rest of the day and see how it goes.

Did any one go for a co-sleeper who also has a toddler?

Or just went for a co-sleeper they're happy with?
A friend just offered to borrow me the bed nest but am scared because of that story of a baby dying in one..

Nojo82 · 13/11/2016 16:01

How do you know if baby had dropped? Might sound like a silly question especially as this is my 4th. I never really noticed before. But ive been able to sleep on my back again and breathe normally, does this mean he has dropped..

Londonmamabychance · 13/11/2016 16:03

south good idea with the sleepyhead if I decide to keep the big cot. Still in two minds, mainly because how little space there is in our bedroom so a smaller bed would just make it a loss less cramped and we're probably moving in April anyway, so before bang would need a bigger bed

StubbleTurnips · 13/11/2016 16:39

Hope your day improved rainfall

We didn't have a cosleeper for DD, after setting it up yesterday we both wished we'd bought one yonks ago. Ours is the babybay maxi which can hold them upto 15mths. Very pleased with it, ordering from Amazon de was easy too, and fast.

I didn't want a bed nest or next2me as they have that lip on them, the babybay is completely flat next to your mattress.

StubbleTurnips · 13/11/2016 16:40

Ours set up yesterday to make sure it fits.

December 2016 babies.... not long to go now!
SolomanDaisy · 13/11/2016 17:16

Oh, I was wondering about whether people use bedside tables with bedside cots, so thanks for posting that picture! Ours is set up but not in our bedroom yet, I'm hoping it fits.
It's a Chicco next 2 me and looks pretty massive compared to DD. I'm thinking of using it with the side up as she's used to sleeping in an enclosed space now.

Happy birthday rainfall!

StubbleTurnips · 13/11/2016 17:53

Soloman I've left the bedside table as it's shallow and I sleep halfway down the bed!

Also I got irate with DH always hogging my precious cup of tea on his side when DD was born and I was parched, due to moving the aforementioned table Grin

Londonmamabychance · 13/11/2016 21:07

Oh The babybay looks perfect, Chicconjext to me I looked at too and it looks great too, just like wooden coy bars more than fabric, but the babybay looks quite expensive, you got it off Amazon uk?
