Hi ladies sorry I've been in and out of hospital. Still no baby. Have had 4 sweeps and nothing, still 3cm.

Meeting consultant tomorrow, she called me yoga and told me to bring my hospital bags as she wants to keep me in, looks like it will be a section. I'm absolutely exhausted! Baby is fine just gripping onto the sides of my womb

soloman hope the head ultrasound goes well today.

TMI but more plug came out today, still quite big but less than yesterday. I feel ok though so haven't phoned he midwife yet. Actually surprised hat I've not really had ano braxton hicks today.

As a precaution though my bags are packed and I'm washing all the newborn and 0-3 clothes. House is a tip because of the building works, but they builders aren't back until Saturday , so I'm pottering around and trying to tidy what I can. Hopefully it'll only take 3 days of the builders being here to finish it off, as we only need a wall putting up and plastering, then I can get the decorator in and carpets done. I know the baby won't even be sleeping in her room for the first few months, but I need somewhere to put all of her stuff!

Finally decided on a changing bag, I've gone for the storksak Noa. It's really spacious without being huge and looks more like a handbag than a changing bag. One less thing to buy now.

It dawned on my this morning that I'm having a baby THIS MONTH as the c-section is booked for 39 weeks, on the 29th Nov (due date is 6th Dec).

Tip I've got a physio appointment tomorrow but I'm not holding out much hope. Last time I said it hurt to walk they suggested internet shopping and throwing a ball in the garden so I didn't have to walk. . Not sure just giving up on walking is going to keep me sane for the next month. I'm in for a 36 week scan and consultant appointment in two weeks, if it's getting any worse I'll be asking about bringing the c section forward possibly to 38 weeks. If the baby is still measuring big and she's fully cooked by then I don't really see why they wouldn't? Won't get my hopes up though.

Has anyone else noticed that they get extremely bad heart burn with certain foods- tomato based soups are the absolute worst for me... I've inly just noticed the correlation but the acid is like fire in my throat- I've just stocked up on car Rennies, I need a tray of Rennies by my bed, in my handbag, at work and in the kitchen (going slightly mad!)

Yay, DD's brain scan was fine! She hated having it done, they had to tip a load of ultrasound gel on her head, but I was able to hold her while it happened.

tinytickler yes sounds like a plan. I too am very breathless I feel really embarrassed by it like people will think I'm really unfit!

Bambino is being an utter lunatic wiggle monster, I'm shattered so hoping he'll settle down!

Id anyone else's hospital bag getting bigger and bigger. Today I added a new pair of slippers extra 3 pairs of pants, another box of maternity pads a few extra babygrows. I need to zip it up and leave it alone I won't get it through the hospital doors at this rate im not sure how long I think I'll be there for!

Interesting bumble I got bad heartburn for the first time last night and I'd had a cheese and tomato pizza.

Does decaf coffee work like normal coffee for.. erm... encouraging bowel movements, does anyone know? Getting desperate now!

Dartmoor this baby is actually increasing in movements as I get further along which I wasn't expecting. He is so much more active than a month ago. Awake nearly all the time it seems! (uh oh, boding well for when he's here...)

Oriana I've just been reading a simply fascinating article all about the relative merits of decaf and full strength coffee on poo production! so, um, thanks for that! Apparently decaf can cause same effect (but the post-coffee poo effect is only felt by 30-40% of the population anyway), so - worth a shot?? but you could always top up with some nice dried fruit as well

Anything with tomatoes and marmite give me acid only in the last couple of weeks though.
I have been breathless from about 22 weeks, it is easing off a bit now as I think I also had a slight chest infection.
Partner has put up xmas tree and lights! I said NOOO it's too early but he wants it all done before baby arrives lol. My 18 month old loves it and has been pulling off all the baubles.

Soloman I'm glad the scan went well. Any idea on when she may be able to come home yet?

Am 36+2 today. I actually thought something may have been starting last night as I felt a bit sick in the evening and (TMI alert) had a bit of tummy upset which is how I felt in the lead up to going into labour with DD, but it seems to have settled down now so must have been something else. I've still got this feeling I'm not going to make 40 weeks though (I didn't with DD who was born at 39+2). Am pleased it wasn't labour though as I can't go the local midwifery unit to give birth unless I'm at least 37 weeks, so baby just needs to cook for a little bit longer now. I forgot how difficult this stage is in the sense that part of me wants to make the most of having some time before the baby comes and catch up with friends / family etc, but as I get ever closer to being full-term I don't want to go too far from home in case something starts.

Bump loving my hospital bag is ridiculously full and I can't stop adding to it! Honestly think i won't end up using half of it ha. Is anyone else veering between oh my god get this baby out of me now and oh my god I'm not ready and I'm really going to miss my bump?!

So is mine grapefruit, I'm struggling to pick between taking a towel and my dressing gown because I definitely can't take both!
I won't miss my bump, but I am skipping between get her out and stay put just because I'm scared about the pain
Has anyone ever taken headphones and listened to their own music whilst in labour? I've never done it before, but I honestly think it would help me if I could just zone out with my music really loud in my ears...

I've half packed my immediate labour bag, still need to do baby's changing bits, more baby clothes and my 'not-labour' bag. I think I'm in denial. Can't wait to not have this achy bump and all associated niggles and pains, but not very sure I'm actually ready for a tiny person that needs feeding and changing etc.

DS has been pestering me to buy an octopus from the fish counter for months. I finally did yesterday, no idea how to cook it and if I have to 'prepare' it I might actually vomit. I will have to though as DH is not home til well past DS's dinner time.. and I'm guessing DS will not help

Ahh yeah my immediate bags are all packed, but I've only really got enough stuff for one overnight stay. I'm thinking it may be worth having an extra bag of clothes for me ready and leave it in my wardrobe, and in case I need extra clothes (unexpected prolonged stay, or baby throws up etc on my top) ask DH to bring in the bag. I don't want to bring in loads and loads of stuff because the rooms at the maternity unit aren't huge, and ideally I'll be going home fairly quickly, but I guess it would be good to be prepared. I have no idea what DH would bring me in though if I just asked him to bring me in something from my wardrobe otherwise.

Extra baby clothes / nappies I'm less anxious about having extra packed for as I'm fairly confident DH could grab a few extra babygrows or nappies from the baby's wardrobe if needed.
