Hope everyone is feeling okay and. It suffering too mu he it's various pains and niggles.

Third trimester is bloody exhausting! Can't wait to go on maternity leave in 4 weeks. Seems like ages.

Re. Bras, I think the advice is that you should wear non-wired bras through the later stages of pregnancy and after if you plan to breastfeed, as the wires can interfere with milk production and the breast ability to, ahem, expand properly. Mine've alreayd grown at least two cup sizes so have been wearing maternity bras since 20 week or earlier!

Used the ones from my last pregnancy, they're so handy cos they also clip open on the side so are great for breastfeeding. You can get maternity bras most places and they aren't necessarily that expensive Smile(although I did splash out on two really comfy and nice Elle MacPherson ones, but they've been worth every penny as they've lasted through now soon two pregnancies as well as 15 months of breastfeeding DD!)

Londonmamabychance · 17/10/2016 20:42

Saying that, I am actually wearing a wired bra today though!

StubbleTurnips · 17/10/2016 21:24

bonkers period pain could be mild braxton hicks. All part of the fun Grin

I can't stop eating cheese, DH is out tonight so I've already snuck down to the kitchen twice for crackers and Lancashire. Very craving driven this time round.

barkingtreefrog · 17/10/2016 22:00

I got some nice non wired bras from John Lewis early on, and thankfully I bought then with some growing room as I've definitely expanded to fill them!
Still only a C cup though, I would love to go a little bigger, it's likely to be the only time in my life I have decent boobs!!!!

Still struggling with the spd pain. This weekend walking was painful even with the pelvic support band, the crutches, and pulling in my pelvic muscles and being really careful with my posture.
I'm a bit worried about another two months of this while the bump grows bigger and heavier Sad

SouthDownsSunshine · 18/10/2016 09:01

bonkers it could be a UTI, or braxton hicks. Or constipation...

barking your spd sounds so painful, I hope it doesn't get any worse.

Re. bras, you'll find that your back size goes back to normal, but your cup size goes up. So bras that fit now won't fit once baby is out and milk comes in.

Eskerina81 · 18/10/2016 09:17

I got some ugly m&s nursing bras early on as my normal ones were uncomfortable. I'm now using a bra extender to make them wider at the back, so they'll hopefully still fit post birth.

Popskipiekin · 18/10/2016 09:33

Stubble I ate cheese throughout my last pregnancy and DS1 is a total cheese fiend! He still doesn't have many words but will just stand hopefully in the kitchen saying "cheeeeze? moah? moah cheeeeze?"

Did anyone find last time(s) around that their pregnancy cravings resulted in babies really liking or disliking those foods?

Barking so sorry your SPD continues to be painful. Mine isn't yet as bad as it was last time but it still is quite prohibitive sometimes. DH complained about some knee pain yesterday but I don't think he'll be doing that again in a hurry Grin poor bloke.

TipBoov · 18/10/2016 11:44

Did anyone find last time(s) around that their pregnancy cravings resulted in babies really liking or disliking those foods?

Yes! I had cravings for Pringles, and DS is obsessed with them! We rarely buy them but he has a little Pringles holder that he carries around with him!

Nojo82 · 18/10/2016 12:53

Cravings? With DS2 i craved curry chips and heatwave doritos. He doesnt like spicy foods now, so didnt happen with me..

OrianaBanana · 18/10/2016 12:54

Mine have gone from a B/C to an E already, God knows what will happen when my milk comes in. I find the non-wired ones really don't support me very well, although I have been fitted... making do until nearer my due date.

I found Hotmilk nursing bras nice last time (ie they fitted well, were comfy and actually looked quite nice in terms of designs) but they're quite expensive. It's just as well though as one time I found myself at a friend's having displayed my left bra cup to the world for a good half hour after feeding DS. Luckily the cup was closed mind you and it was a pretty bra but still.

Nojo82 · 18/10/2016 15:53

Oh i think my vomiting has started again. Just been sick, 2nd time in a matter of days. Anyone else had this happen..

Popskipiekin · 18/10/2016 16:24

hahah TipBoov awww your DS going around with his little pringles holder, that's so cute! I was at a playgroup at the weekend which had all sorts of play foods, including plastic pringles!

Nojo82 ugh that's awful. Sure you're not coming down with something?

Lovewatchingrainfall · 18/10/2016 16:27

Yes nojo I feel your pain. My sickness and nausea, has been back for a couple of weeks now apparently it's to do with the baby taking up room and pushing up my stomach. Hope you feel better soon.

SunnySideDownUp · 18/10/2016 17:13

nojo my nausea has returned but thankfully less bad and no sickness. It's made worse at this stage with reflux.

StubbleTurnips · 18/10/2016 17:19

Now here's a question... Is anyone buying Christmas presents for babies due around Christmas???

Nojo my morning sickness with DD disappeared around this stage..... for a grand total of 2 weeks before it came back, and lasted til the end Sad

Thisisbonkers · 18/10/2016 17:24

I'm getting reflux which isn't fun.

stubble we won't be buying anything specifically for Christmas. I suspect grandparents and other family and friends will more than make up for it!

Grapefruit8 · 18/10/2016 17:58

Stubble we aren't planning on buying Christmas bits although I do keep looking at various christmas babygrows on the john Lewis website!! Sorted my hospital bag at last, we are pretty much ready for baby- I just want to be done with work and relax now. Is anyone else hoping any praying their baby comes around 37/38 weeks?

Bigfam · 18/10/2016 19:04

We wont be buying anything for christmas either. Awww moah cheeezzze Popskipiekin 😆
I'm sat here worrying now because I'm not sure if I've felt the baby move today, it's been a bit full on, have thrown myself into toilet training the puppy. Just going to drink something cold and see if she moves a bit.

happydays00 · 18/10/2016 19:33

stubble not buying anything for the baby for Christmas apart from a Christmas themed baby grow.

grapefruit YES! Praying this baby decides to come early - I've had HG since I was 8 weeks and am so unbelievably sick of been sick!

I feel like I've aged 30 years in the last 2 weeks, anyone else feeling like this? Was doing fine and now all of a sudden getting out the car, or off the sofa is accompanied by groans because I'm so stiff!

Nojo82 · 18/10/2016 19:39

bigfam my midwife said to have a can of coke and a mars bar and lie on ur left side for a few hrs. And if baby hasnt moved in that time then you need to go get monitored. Trying staying awake for 2 hours tho..

We are planning on buying baby a few bits but only because I know ill get a ton of questions from the other kids. But due xmas day so if thats if it comes before that..

Yes grapefruit im hoping baby comes 37/38 weeks..

barkingtreefrog · 18/10/2016 20:02

grapefruit yes, hoping for an early delivery as long as it's fully cooked!

Bigfam I felt less movement than usual yesterday and then didn't feel anything after getting up this morning so by 9.30-10 I was getting worried. I drank cold coke and lay down but just got one feeble kick (usually coke has her dancing!) So I called the hospital and they told me to come in. Two hours of monitoring later and a conversation with the doctor they let me out. She kicked like mad when they put the monitoring straps on, but so hard they couldn't get a consistent heartbeat as she was moving position. Then she went to sleep for ages so heartbeat was steady but there was no movement. After an hour they gave me cold water to wake her up and she went berserk again so they didn't get a level heartbeat..... Totally uncooperative!!
Very glad I'm got my 32 week scan tomorrow anyway, excellent timing!

OrianaBanana · 18/10/2016 20:56

barking sounds like my experience on the monitor! The midwives were telling her off and encouraging her but she wasn't cooperating. Mind you that meant I spent a day there rather than at work so given everything was OK in the end it wasn't too bad.

Bumplovin · 18/10/2016 21:07

Barkingtreefrog same happened to me on Sunday, was on monitor sunday and again on Monday and then got my scan from this thurs brought forward to Monday. She was fine and has been more active today. Sometimes I think she is just reminding everyone who's boss!

Popskipiekin · 18/10/2016 22:08

Christmas presents - I wasn't going to bother for the baby unless people think DS1 (who will be 2.3) will think it odd that baby doesn't get anything but he does? He's still young enough to be quite egocentric so I was hoping he wouldn't notice...

StubbleTurnips · 18/10/2016 22:18

Glad that's the consensus, DH thinks it's tight there's no present for him - I've got a Xmas babygrow and a toy from DD. But he might not even be here by Christmas Day!

happy yes!! by the end of a day I can barely move without creaking. My pubic bone / hips keep cracking, it happened at 2am last night and the pain woke me up in tears.
