PowerofThree all I can suggest is as hard as it may be just tell yourself that you can't change anything so worrying is pointless. Believe me I need to take my own advice there as I am a constant worrier. I had a miscarriage last year so in disbelief that this pregnancy will make it but what I do know is what will be will be and I'm trying not to obsess about it. Symptoms come and go and it really doesn't mean one thing or another - that I do know.
But welcome and jump on board with all us other worriers - there are a lot of us on here !!

PeachIcedT · 29/09/2016 17:31

Hi Power, I'm glad you had positive results at your early scan.

Was just thinking it's strange how much booking appointments vary - I was certainly not provided with a pot. Mine is due to take 90 minutes, I'm struggling to imagine why it would take that long (and need to rush to work after as it's still a secret from them).

BeanSpr0ut · 29/09/2016 17:33

7+6 today. Super tired still. I need a day off from my days off.... Tackling a hyper 2.5yo and being this exhausted is HARD work.

jennymac31 · 29/09/2016 17:58

Thanks for adding me Anne!

Been experiencing a tugging/pulling feeling on the left side of my stomach plus the left side of my hip and leg have been uncomfortable all day. Had another vomiting episode at lunchtime (apologies for tmi).

Really hoping the symptoms ease up after 12 weeks. Am back at work on Monday and really not sure how I'm gonna cope in the office but we shall see.

Dh wants to invite his brothers and best friend round on Saturday for drinks but not sure I'll be in the mood or a good state to entertain. Plus I'm still trying to hold off telling anyone about the pregnancy until I've had 12 week scan. Spoke to my mum on the phone and felt a bit guilty about not telling her.

Ghostonthedancefloor · 29/09/2016 17:59

Aw gin, if it's any consolation, I'm in the same position re work. Although I have been there a bit longer. 4 staff have left in as many weeks so manager is really stressing as we are just so busy at the mo. So I'm dreading telling them also! But I feel I can't tell them until I have told my parents, which I still haven't done... I'm going to be forced into it soon though as my belly is most certainly getting rounder!

What you've got to tell yourself is, there are so many laws protecting us, and at the end of the day, we're off for 9 months not 9 years. Maternity leave absolutely flies by. They'll manage!

mrspage1985 · 29/09/2016 18:35

Peach over and July lady - hope we all start being sick soon!! Mad I'm wishing for that!

Decided to do another test - don't know why as I know the hormones stay in your system for a while anyway and it went dark blue line positive straight away - the darkest clearest one by far - I'm hoping that means my hcg levels are increasing.

I rang the Dr's earlier to see if they did the hcg blood testing - the dr thought I asked for hiv testing and went on to a totally different conversation! By the time I figured out where the confusion has come from I just gave up!
Guess I've gotta hold out a few more weeks - early scan is booked for 2 weeks tomorrow.
I might do the other pregnancy test in a few days time and see if the positive line is still as dark?! Anyone know if this is even vaguely viable indication?! Xx

Brightsmoke · 29/09/2016 18:55

Is anyone else getting sickness when they move? I'm trying to eat the dinner I specifically asked my husband to make me, and literally everytime I move, I feel sick. Sit still for 5 mins and I feel ok again. It's very fraustrating!

AnneLovesGilbert · 29/09/2016 18:57

I know what you mean about testing mrspage, I did another CB digi at the weekend hoping for the 3+ and was SO relieved when I got it.

I started being sick today, the nausea of the last few weeks ramped up a load and I was retching on the way to work, sick in the carpark, for half an hour once I got there and then off and on all afternoon. An apple and some carrots helped.

jennymac I've had left and right side pains, not at the same time, very like ovulation pain. Been going on the whole time. I'm now 6 + 5.

AnneLovesGilbert · 29/09/2016 18:59

I feel much worse in the car brightsmoke but seems the same whether I'm on the sofa, at my desk or pottering around when I'm not.

MissMooMoo · 29/09/2016 19:11

I have decided to avoid the tube because it makes me so ill! Thankfully i can walk to work

Sonnet18 · 29/09/2016 19:19

I'm just having mild nausea...still worrying me as I had plenty bouts of proper sickness this time last year when I was at this stage in pregnancy. I'm either handling it better (having DD forces me to get on with it!) or something is amiss. Scan on Sunday and booking appointment (which I need to take DD to...it better not last an hour as suggested by midwife...DD will go mad!) on Monday so at least in a few days I'll know exactly how it is all going!

ImogenTubbs · 29/09/2016 19:40

GOD, I want a MASSIVE glass of wine. I won't though, obvs... Confused

JulyLady7 · 29/09/2016 19:53

I'm having nausea in the evening which leads to dry heaving and then bile - lovely!

When I eat, it seems to be better. The joys!

talulahbelle · 29/09/2016 20:37

7+2 and the nausea is slowly ramping up. Forcing myself to eat seems to work. Super noodles the best thing, and weirdly tomatoes.

8:40pm not too early for bed is it? I'm so tired.

Badgerbird · 29/09/2016 20:46

Ha ha I'm not alone then! Was sooooo relieved to feel a bit sick this afternoon!! I know that must sound nuts to you poor lot who are suffering so much with sickness Confused Sad The lack of feeling sick for a few days was scaring me though! Yes, even though I know symptoms come and go..... I'm gonna put my anxiety down to hormones and tiredness Wink

CinnamonTwist · 29/09/2016 20:53

I finally caved and went for an early scan today, I think the thought of telling family tomorrow without knowing for certain that everything was OK this time was really getting to me. Scan went well, with a good heartbeat seen, it measured a week behind NHS estimate, which is exactly where I thought I would be, so now at 9+1 with an EDD of 3 May, almost exactly half way between DHs April birthday and my May birthday Grin

AnneLovesGilbert · 29/09/2016 21:31

Great minds talulahbelle, I had super noodles tonight for the first time in years!

Badgerbird · 29/09/2016 21:52

Great news cinnamon Smile

Gurtie28 · 29/09/2016 21:53

Lovely news cinnamon your post made me smile, so pleased for you!! I have a scan tomorrow, the follow up from 2 weeks ago when they saw a sack but no baby :s Fingers crossed we get to see a heart beat and a little bean this time.
Oh and Imogen JonSnow and Sonnet thanks for the reassurance re work. As much as I'm dreading telling them, keep telling myself - it is what it is, and at the end of the day there are more important things in life than work!!!

CinnamonTwist · 29/09/2016 21:58

Good luck - I'll keep my fx for you and be thinking of you Gurtie I hope it's all perfect now. I feel so much more relaxed after seeing it's all ok, I hadn't realised quite how tense and stressed I was about it!

AnneLovesGilbert · 29/09/2016 22:06

Brilliant news cinnamon!

Hi all, so excited to see there's already a thread for us, I've added myself to the list - due late May. Only told DH and my mum and it's just horrible not being able to tell the world. I hate that time when you feel crap and tired at work but you don't want to tell them yet as it's such early stages.

It's my second and I'm crapping myself about whether we've made the right decision- DS1 was such a bad sleeper I'm worried we've got another year or two of hell when it comes to sleep! Other than that, babies are wonderful and I'm delighted of course. Can't wait for DS to have a sibling, I hope there's no rivalry! Will be a 3 year age gap.

EDD is within 5 days of my sons birthday so not sure if this is a good thing or not!!

lullaby23 · 30/09/2016 00:50

Great news on the scan cinnamon.

Welcome mamushka.

I've hopefully replied to everyone who pm'd re: the FB group, apologies for any delays I am 7 hours ahead of UK time and went to bed at 9pm

Made it to 6 weeks today! Only one week until my scan and hoping for a nice heartbeat.
