Also having c+p issues if someone can add me please? Pukekos, edd 8/5/17, child #2.

Haven't told family yet though boss at work knows. We're in NZ but realised DH will be away in Oz for exams in a week or so in late April and late May (had csection last time so this one should come early May between his two exams!) so asked my parents to come over to help with dd. I'll tell them the real reason soon!

talulahbelle · 30/09/2016 06:47

Great scan news cinnamon

Today I'm mainly feeling sick. Ice lolly in bed before my head left my pillow, then marmite on toast now for breakfast. I just want to lie down and not move, not go to work

Sonnet18 · 30/09/2016 07:35

Good luck for the scan gurtie I am sure all will be well.
DD is the worst sleeper ever and screamed for 90 mins from 3am-4.30am. So yeah, I feel like shit today!

Badgerbird · 30/09/2016 08:57

Gurtie thinking of you today, got everything crossed for you. X

MissMooMoo · 30/09/2016 09:03

Hope your scan goes well Gurtie

Today has been the worst day so far for feeling ill. I really struggled to get out of bed but I have a dentist appt at 9:40 so thought i better force myself! Have managed a bowl of crunchy nut (80% of my diet these days)
Thankfully I don't work on a Fri, DH did ask what was for dinner tonight......nothing!

LillyBugg · 30/09/2016 09:17

Oh god I feel so awful :( so so sick. Dh keeps asking me if it's normal, I didn't feel this bad in my first pregnancy. I'm only 6 weeks. Got ages to go before this gets better. How am I going to cope?! Feeling very sorry for myself today Sad

ginandcake · 30/09/2016 09:21

Thanks ghost, I know there is nothing they can do about it. And actually I was having a conversation with my male boss a few months ago and he was telling me about other businesses struggling with staff going on maternity leave. I sarcastically said well that's the risk of employing women because I thought he was being a bit of an arse but I had him totally wrong because he then said he did not see employing women as a risk but as an asset and maternity leave is shirt term pain for a long term gain.

Good luck today gurtie

4sacharm · 30/09/2016 09:27

Congrats on the scan cinnamon
Good luck today gurtie

I feel like crap today, I look awful, pale skin covered in spots. I want to be in bed, and I have to go to a children's party tomorrow for 10 am so no lie in, happy Friday, everyone! X

MissMooMoo · 30/09/2016 09:38

Arrived at the dentist for my 9:40 appt and its actually at 10:15 Blush oops

Adventuregame · 30/09/2016 10:52

Talulah 7+2 here as well. Marmite on toast is my lifesaver right now !

CinnamonTwist · 30/09/2016 11:29

I definitely agree on the toast, mine is usually with a teeny bit of butter as I don't like marmite... although maybe I should try it again as my tastes are definitely different at the moment. Toast seems to be the only thing I can always fancy at the moment, it makes me sad that there is no toaster at my work. I felt sick again this morning but not feeling so bad again now, just really hungry! And now craving toast

Sonnet18 · 30/09/2016 11:41

Weirdly the only thing I want in the morning is weetabix! Apparently there is b12 in it and that helps stave off nausea? I ate a lot of weetabix last time too and it seemed to help a tiny bit!

IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley · 30/09/2016 13:18

missmoomoo you must be my pregnancy twin....
I also had be dentist today, also struggling with feel rough so congratulated myself on getting there only to find out I had misremembered the time and has ages! Doh.

I also am not working Fridays currently

RedBlu · 30/09/2016 13:18

Does anyone else have boobs that go from hard to soft randomly? Mine have been fairly hard and sore for weeks, then woke up this morning and they were soft and felt normal. I freaked out, nearly booked an early ultrasound but boobs are now sore again but not as hard.

Sickness has eased a little bit, haven't actually been sick but feel like crap. Not eating much and sleeping loads. Also have horrendous headaches.

Also, is it normal to get like "pressure" on your right side like near your hip bone??

I am trying to say if there is no bleeding and or pain I am waiting for the 12 week NHS scan but quite honestly, I am terrified something has or will go wrong

CinnamonTwist · 30/09/2016 13:24

Redblu mine seem to do that; they get swollen for a bit, then I think the skin grows and they 'deflate' slightly, then it goes round again. I keep getting a random pain to one side, near my hip, is this what you mean?

RedBlu · 30/09/2016 13:27

CinammonTwist - yes, like just above the hip area. It's like a deep pressure feeling that comes and goes. It's weird.

Glad to know "boob softening" is normal.

I need to stop googling as I am now terrified of a MMC!

Sonnet18 · 30/09/2016 13:32

redblu you sound fine...perfectly normal and you seem to have plenty of symptoms. When I had my mmc I had no symptoms whatsoever. I just thought pregnancy was a breeze. You'll be fine!

MissMooMoo · 30/09/2016 13:35

redblu I also get the boob thing, where I think they are too soft and not sore again and then a few hours later they are in agony. My nipples are huge right now so I think thats a good sign.
I also get some hip pain and lower back pain,I think its the uterus stretching/growing.

MissMooMoo · 30/09/2016 13:37

shirley glad to know its not just me! Dentist says I have really swollen gums and perscribed me a mouthwash to use before bed. He said its pregnancy related so not to worry too much. I've never even had a cavity before so I was worried it was going downhill now!

teainbed · 30/09/2016 13:37

Google round ligament pain. It's common in first and second trimester. It's just the ligaments supporting your uterus stretching a bit.

talulahbelle · 30/09/2016 13:47

Yep, I've got round ligament pain. I've taken the occasional paracetamol for it which helps.
Chicken supernoodles for lunch, I'm the queen of carby/salty food today.

IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley · 30/09/2016 14:00

moomoo you are definitely not alone. He says I have no gum disease, but have some pregnancy related inflammation too.

My daughter is only 11 months, he actually laughed when I told him I was expecting again Blush

ImYourWomanJonSnow · 30/09/2016 14:33

Ooooh I just noticed I had some light spotting, pinkish blood. It was very light and I don't have cramps so trying to keep positive (but its hard).

My EPU website says that they will only see women who are 6wk+ (I am 5+4 today) so I'm not sure if I should even bother phoning for a referral. Shitsticks.

Adventuregame · 30/09/2016 14:40

sonnet I was the same with my mmc - had no symptoms at all. Thought 'oh this is going to be easy'. However my mum had told me that she had no morning sickness with me so I thought perhaps I was following her but it wasn't to be.
Redblu I can't offer any advice on worrying about a mmc but I can tell you that until you start bleeding then you really don't know so you just have to tell yourself 'today I am pregnant' and hope it turns out ok !

crazyzooo · 30/09/2016 15:35

Had an early scan today (7 weeks post first day of last period). Hugely relieved to see an actual bean with a heart beat! Was starting to convince myself I was having psychosomatic symptoms and not actually pregnant... Hmm Measured at 6 + 1 so now worrying it's not growing properly. Hey ho (I wish I could drink wine..!!).
