We're telling our ours in a couple of weeks, once I've got past the 12 week point. Have started to have conversations about possibly having another baby. DD1 who is almost 4 wants another baby, but only if it is a brother, she definitely does not want another sister!

That's so sweet JohnSnow. Gin - DD has informed us that if she were to have a brother or sister she would like them to be older than her - might be a tough one!

Yeah that might be difficult Imogen! I have told DD that she can't chose and we're get what we are given, to which she says fine let's have one of each then. That is not going to happen!

Booking appointment confirmed for 24 October. Feels like ages away! Has anyone had theirs yet and if so how did it go?

Had my booking appointment this week. All fine, lots of questions and blood tests.
Totally freaking out today over the prospect of actually having a small person in my life ! I don't cope very well with change !

Not much news here other than I have been diagnosed with hypremesis and have had to have anti sickness injections as was no longer keeping fluid down and severely dehydrated. Oh the joys. Hoping things will improve with medication, if not they say I will have to be admitted for IV fluids and meds. Not ideal- definitely want to avoid that if at all possible.

imogen my dd wants an older sister too. A younger brother is also just about acceptable. A younger sister is apparently not an option! Think we'll hold off telling her until she forgets about this .

Just phoned in sick. Awful non stop nausea, I've been awake since 4am and I've a cold on top of that too. I'm not sure I've even got the energy to get DD to nursery.

Oh poor you shirley HG sounds absolutely awful and hope it improves for you.

DS is only 17 months so not really old enough to grasp anything about a sibling just yet. He does have a doll which we call "the baby" though that he likes to throw around

Had my scan and saw a heartbeat, EDD put forward 2 days so amending on the list and will add jingles in and momma and madamepeacock putting you in the right place for dates OCD moment.

My dd keeps talking about her older brother and sister (she's an only child) so we'll have to see if she'll cope when baby arrives. She might forget about imaginary older siblings by then.

How am I only 9 weeks tomorrow, I feel like I have been pregnant for sooooo long.

Am sort of dreading finding out what we are having. I am going to wait until we know before we tell our children. I have a dd and two ds's my eldest is my dd and she is desperate for a sister, her heart will break if it is another boy, which it probably will be! I will just have to concentrate on the special bond we have, we shall see! X

I have 2 DDs. The big one is four and will tell her soon after scan I think, as we'll be telling family and she misses nothing. She sounds very much like your DD1 gin- she really wants a boy if we have anymore, but then she said she would settle for one of each

Booked my Harmony test. Anyone else? Feel a bit guilty given the current climate but as its there I want to know.

I'm going to wait a bit longer to tell my DC. When I announced my last pregnancy at 12 weeks it was such a long time for them to wait and I regretted telling them so soon. Every day for months it was 'is it coming today?' and then they bored and fed as at that age they had no concept of what 6 months was! Although one is particularly impatient.

Is anyone rise just constantly hungry? I don't understand how I'm supposed to not get fat when I need food every five minutes...

Can I ask why you are getting the Harmony? Do you have reason to suspect there might be a problem? How much is the test?

Oh Shirley that is so miserable. Where are you getting the injections? I went out in the car yesterday for the first time in 2 weeks (to go to the docs) and the journey made me sick. I think I have hg too (at least that is what is printed on my meds) but not as bad as you. I can keep little bits down if I eat the right thing at the right moment.

spam I throw up if I get an empty stomach, so I have to keep eating every hour or so.

Spam I am so hungry too even after eating. I was feeling fairly normal for last few daya but nausea is back and I'm tired.

I'm also constantly belly rubbing. Its feels huge but then it didn't start small .

tea yes I've got my Harmony test on Thursday. Having mine in London. Cost £400- thats for a viability scan & blood test thursday, then full dating scan & results 2 weeks later.

I booked it as I am generally anxious, and just want to know things sooner rather than later. Also, I think you get to find out the sex from it! Nice little extra.

Had booking appointment today (I am 10w today). Midwife was very nice. Just lots if form filling and info gathering on her side.

Teainbed* I think I would maybe book one if my risk was considered not low, as it would be preferable to the needle, but they seem very expensive privately and I've just blown £100 on an early scan.

Yes I'm going to be having Harmony test. Only reason I haven't booked it yet is cos of mmc last time so thought I'd wait until it's more certain. Not sure if you get your money back if you have the viability and it's an mc but you've paid for the Harmony package......and can't face calling up to ask so will just wait.

adventure I'm pretty sure when I booked it the lady said something along the lines of they do the viability first so you don't pay all that money for a test you won't have. I think in part it is so expensive as it is sent off to America, so if they aren't sending it it won't cost all that money.

Not sure if there is then a charge for a viability scan only....didn't think to ask.

I will ask when I'm there next week and post on here.

I am not sure if we will have harmony or not. DH has a 1st cousin with a rare chromo disorder, I am not sure if it is genetic or not, I need to ask his aunt so will probably have to tell her we are expecting.

I seem to have good days and bad days with being sick,felt generally fine yesterday but have spent most of today feeling the urge to throw up. I am unable to travel in the car because it makes me so ill (thank god I can just walk everywhere!)
