Thanks brightsmoke, I can't think that notes would make too much difference to them.

That's great news sonnet! Must be nice to have a more accurate date now. I'm hoping for a similar outcome from my scan later today.

Sonnet18 · 02/10/2016 12:04

I'm sure you will peach

FoxMulder · 02/10/2016 12:09

Had some bleeding this morning. It was err...post coital so not really worried. Might call midwife tomorrow.

JulyLady7 · 02/10/2016 13:57

Ah, that's brilliant Sonnet, great news!

Sipperskipper · 02/10/2016 14:06

Great news on your scans ladies!

Badgerbird · 02/10/2016 15:07

Hope all going well for you peach

Great news sonnet Smile what a relief!

charlie yes I've been up, down, sideways and everything in between!!! I'm an emotional person anyway so these hormones and worries just exacerbate it! Please know you are not alone Hun!

Badgerbird · 02/10/2016 15:11

Oops! The hormones and being emotional was really meant for you trinity! I think feeling weepy on and off is pretty standard from what I've heard and experienced.

Good luck tomorrow charlie, fingers crossed for you.

SK28 · 02/10/2016 15:28

Hello! It's been a few days since I last caught up (though I have done on the FB group) - great to hear about all the scans and more accurate dates! My EDD is actually 4th May, I've switched to a new and better doctor who put me at 9+3 today. My last doctor told me 14th May, which I knew was wrong - but apart from my immediate family I'm going to just say mid-May to people. Last time I was 11 days overdue and I got so sick of people asking for updates! Mid-May means baby should be here before that all starts :) I'm hoping for a non-EDD baby though as it's the same date as my MiL's birthday and petty though it may be, I don't want them to share it...

I know it's super early but is anyone planning ELCS? I had EMCS last time and in the country we live now they push towards ELCS in this situation. I think I'll give birth in the UK actually, though, so will have the choice. I was really upset last time as having EMCS and the thought of not knowing what giving birth naturally is like...but now I actually find myself feeling quite scared by the project of natural and leaning towards ELCS...

Sonnet18 · 02/10/2016 16:04

Thanks everyone. So what are your thoughts on this...we have an abroad wedding next year when new baby will be around 11weeks old and DD will be 18months....can you imagine a worse holiday?! The bride is looking for numbers just now and I've fobbed her off with "don't know about work," "unsure if we will bring DD"...but after scan today should I just be honest and say that we won't be coming? The bride is a really close friend of mine so I'm ok with her knowing this early, I think.

Just added myself to the list.

Glad everyone's early scans are going well. I've had a few myself already so know how nerve wracking it is! I couldn't stop shaking at my last scan on Thursday. Counting down till my 12 week scan now.

I'm panicking as I ate cold savory rice earlier at my Mums. Do you think it will have been unsafe? It would only have been cooked for a couple of hours at the very most but I'm very over-cautious about what I eat during pregnancy but I just didn't think.

Sonnet18 · 02/10/2016 17:15

What's wrong with cold rice? I must live in a different world as all I was told not to eat was pate and uncooked meat/ shellfish or unpasteurised cheese. I would've eaten the rice. I ate a leftover Chinese takeaway for my lunch today. I'm sure all is fine!

KJW9716 · 02/10/2016 17:40

Hi everyone :)
This is my first pregnancy, 6 weeks. Not feeling too bad, super sore boobs, and lots of cramping so my hot water bottle has become my best friend!
First midwife appointment is on the 20th feels like such a long time to wait!
Anyone from the Norwich area?

PeachIcedT · 02/10/2016 18:32

Scan went well and was really interesting. It's currently in the right place and has a good heart beat thumping away. Sonographer asked why I booked the scan, I said because I don't feel pregnant and haven't felt sick. Well it's in there at the moment and real! I'm a little further than I thought at 7 weeks 5 days Smile

teainbed · 02/10/2016 18:49

Lovely scan pics. Smile Mine seems a longtime one ago now!

Cold rice is ok if it's been cooled quickly. It's reheating when there's a risk of food poisoning. Not specific to pregnancy just a risk in general.

Sonnet18 · 02/10/2016 19:02

Snap peach! Due date buddies!

Ghostonthedancefloor · 02/10/2016 19:36

Aaaaaargh our scan is tomorrow and the plan was for my dad to pick ds up from nursery (he doesn't know) and now he is meeting his buddies for coffee! So we will have an active 3 year old in tow now..... This should be fun!

Sunflower30 · 02/10/2016 19:59

Got to 7 weeks today so I'm finally going to arrange my booking appointment tomorrow and then arrange a private scan for a day or two after that. Lovely to see another scan picture!
Nausea still coming in waves but I'm generally ok if I snack almost constantly and avoid big meals. Which is fine by me because I'm generally a greedy guss anyway Smile
Anyone else feeling really emotional? I found myself crying because the tv remote wasn't working earlier!

PeachIcedT · 02/10/2016 20:25

That's lovely sonnet! And both confirmed on the same weekend.

I've had so few symptoms that I'm starting to understand how some people don't realise they're pregnant for a long time - if I hadn't been TTC I might have just thought I'd gone a bit overboard on the calories and having a slightly more irregular period. I did have a bit of an altered sense of smell but again it could've been cold related. I'm hoping that these lack of symptoms will stop my nosey colleagues from guessing!

Brightsmoke · 02/10/2016 20:59

Yay lovely scan peach, glad all is going well :)

I'm just in from watching Bridget jones' baby. Has anyone else seen it? It's hilarious!!

Adventuregame · 02/10/2016 21:01

I was tearful this morning in a 'what are we doing' panic ! Is that bad ? Just nervous over what a big change it is to our lives ?!

4sacharm · 02/10/2016 21:03

peach what a peach, congratulations! Good luck to all those having scans. I plan to contact the hospital and push for an earlier appointment due to unregulated thyriod, which can result in miscarriage. Not sure how successful I will be but one can try. I seem to have picked up some virus as am absolutely wiped of energy, spent most of day in bed x

mrspage1985 · 02/10/2016 21:14

Adventure
I had that ...especially when I went and had a nosey on the childbirth thread Shock

SK28 · 02/10/2016 21:18

Sonnet, I'd tell your friend I think. I take the view that if you would tell someone if something went wrong, there's nothing wrong with telling them you're pregnant a little early. A couple of my best friends have known from about 5 weeks both times, because I know I'd lean on them if anything did happen. I know some people are more superstitious about it though. But if she is a close friend and you feel ok with her knowing, it might be easier for you than trying to fob her off for a few weeks while she wants numbers! I'm sure she'll completely understand. What a shame timing-wise though!

peasandquiet · 02/10/2016 21:36

Feeling awful a bloated sicky mess no idea how I'm going to get through work tomorrow I could cry at the thought of it.
Adventure and MrsP do not worry about Childbirth you can prepare yourself for it nearer the time but honestly it wasn't that bad.
