Anyone else Due June 2017?

1000 replies

pinkiponk · 21/09/2016 20:40

BFP last Friday, will (hopefully) be my second child, as have a 2 year old DS already. Doctor said I was due 2 June Smile
Feeling very excited, but quite nervous as had a MMC before DS, so noticing when symptoms have gone/come back!
Also finding it hard not being able to talk to anyone in RL (obviously DH knows).
Anyone else got this news recently and care to join? Smile

Sore throat yea! Don't want to take anything for it tho as I try to take minimal pain relief if possible

I mainly wear my boys (love my Tula) but I don't drive and walk everywhere and with an easily distracted 2.5yo and 3.5yo sometimes the pushchair is a must. Usually I wear the 2.5yo and the big one goes in the pushchair for long journeys. Or for the Pre school run I wear smallest and biggest walks. However we are moving and altho it will only the double the walk for me to the school, I know big one will just dawdle there! I have the out and about single as the double but I've always lusted after the bugaboo donkey so I'm gonna see if I can save enough for that and the buggyboard for it that has a seat.

We don't need to buy too much as have all the boys clothes, high chair etc.

Tho I'm thinking as we bed share with both boys I will need a co sleeper crib for new baby. Also on the list is a napper/rocker instead of a Moses. A close caboo (got rid of my old one?!), a cord tie, and some natal hypnotherapy books and CDs.

I'm liking making lists as it distracts me from the worrying at the moment whilst time is passing so slowly!

Sorry for the essay Hmm

firefly23 · 14/10/2016 05:41

Morning! Apologies if this is TMI but I'm worried! I've just been to the loo and at one point when I wiped there was the tiniest pin prick dot of red blood on the tissue. I've wiped a few times since and there's nothing. I'm 6+1 today. Should I be worried? Confused

RetroHippy · 14/10/2016 07:03

Please tell me to step away from the ics. I got a pack of 3 for 79p from home bargains, so uber cheap!

Tested Monday, Wednesday and today and they're got getting any stronger. I did a CB blue dye test last Friday, so going to get another one of those today to see if that's darkening.

My boobs don't hurt though, and by this stage last time I couldn't sleep on my front it was too uncomfortable.

I hate early pregnancy paranoia Sad

Sixisthemagicnumber · 14/10/2016 07:35

Give the EPU a ring if you are worried firefly. I think some people do get a bit of bleeding in early pregnancy but it's always better to check with the professionals if you are worried.

Starlight88 · 14/10/2016 07:43

**Kitty that's great advice about the drinks, I've been driving into work and making excuses why I need to be back early so far.

I've been using Ovia too, I love it, so easy to look up symptoms and safe foods. If I'd known I was going to be pregnant I would've had a big sushi and rare meat feast!

I've only been taking folic acid so far. Does the GP discuss these things at the first appointment or will it be a swift - "thanks for coming" appointment?

VeganMama83 · 14/10/2016 07:46

Firefly I had that in both pregnancies before. The first one I was told it was down to cervical erosion. 2nd time I don't know. Keep an eye and contact midwife/GP tho if worried. Are you having/paying for an early scan?

Skee · 14/10/2016 08:04

Retro I'm feeling the same today - I had a clearblue digital left over so thought I'd use it this morning. The number of weeks haven't increased since I tested about 5days ago? It still says 2-3. I was really hoping to get a 3+ to put my mind at ease because I don't have many symptoms either. Boobs are just a bit tender and I don't feel queezy Sad

peaceloveandbiscuits · 14/10/2016 08:43

Lots of people don't get 3+ until after 6 weeks. Stop testing and try to relax.

haveacupoftea · 14/10/2016 08:50

stop taking tests. I nearly drove myself crazy with them. The lines won't get any darker especially on cheap stick ones if anything they are likely to get lighter. The only way you'll get through this with your sanity intact is if you presume no severe cramps + no severe bleeding = everything is good.

Skee · 14/10/2016 08:58

Sorry for the shite chat ladies! I'm done with the testing Blush

Starlight88 · 14/10/2016 08:58

What are thoughts on an early scan? I go on holiday soon over what will be week 10 & 11 so I'm considering it, does anyone know how easy they are to arrange?

Sixisthemagicnumber · 14/10/2016 09:13

They are super easy to arrange starlight. I booked mine online with my last pregnancy then just turned up at the time booked.

sleepylil · 14/10/2016 09:14

Good job I called up to chase my booking in appointment, the mw team have received nothing despite docs assuring me they sent the referral on the 27th sept. This is exactly what happened last time. Apparently they fax the referrals through even tho the mw team have repeatedly told them they don't have a working fax machine and this has been going on for over 2 years... seriously?!?! Should have a letter for an appt around 10 weeks which is same as last time. Will have a separate mh appointment with GP in next couple of weeks just so that I can be passed over proper to the antenatal mh lot... so many seemingly unnecessary processes that long things out Confused

firefly23 · 14/10/2016 09:48

Thanks Six and Vegan. I've not had anything since so hopefully all ok. Getting an early scan tomorrow so keeping my fingers crossed!xx

peaceloveandbiscuits · 14/10/2016 12:19

Sleepylil you've reminded me I need to ask about seeing the special mental health midwife this time. My hospital didn't have one in my last pregnancy.

peaceloveandbiscuits · 14/10/2016 12:20

Also need to see birth reflections team again when I'm further along as I had a traumatic experience giving birth last time, they said they would support me in subsequent pregnancies :) feel so lucky to have all these supportive services on the NHS :)

MumofthreeandBean · 14/10/2016 13:37

My deliveries were all pretty traumatic, hoping for some consultant care again this time- I want either induction or c-section - I am not giving birth to another 10.3lb baby!!

MumofthreeandBean · 14/10/2016 13:37

7.2 Smile

BitchPeas · 14/10/2016 13:44

Unfortunately I'm going to have to bow out of this thread. I've started bleeding fresh red blood and have had 4 negative tests today so that's me out Sad

Good luck to all of you!
