Anyone else Due June 2017?

pinkiponk · 21/09/2016 20:40

BFP last Friday, will (hopefully) be my second child, as have a 2 year old DS already. Doctor said I was due 2 June Smile
Feeling very excited, but quite nervous as had a MMC before DS, so noticing when symptoms have gone/come back!
Also finding it hard not being able to talk to anyone in RL (obviously DH knows).
Anyone else got this news recently and care to join? Smile

Helllooooooo newbies!!!
After a few days of not feeling sick I went to Tesco first thing and nearly passed out, had to run to the toiulet for 20 minutes and try not to collapse! Was half hour late for work but luckily noone said anything.

Got a 'picnic' at my sons school in the morning so hoping I don't pass out or throw up over a load of school kids at 9am!

7+5 feeling dandy!!

MumofthreeandBean · 17/10/2016 20:32

mommy people's bumps grow at different rates, around 3 months is about right for a first, you show earlier with subsequent pregnancies,

Mommytobe2017 · 17/10/2016 20:40

Ahhh ok mum thanks. Grin

babyand · 17/10/2016 20:48

Hi ladies, I'm feeling the tiredness now running round after my 15 month old! I have a feeling this pregnancy will go much faster than my last one as I won't have time to think! I didn't show until 20 weeks with dd but my sister was 5 days ahead of me and she was showing at 12...both our firsts! She had a boy and I had a girl of that's anything to do with it!! I had hyperemisis with my last pregnancy so I'm praying and praying I didn't get it this time I don't know how I would cope with having a toddler to deal with!

The only advice I'd give to first timers is that once you tell people you are pregnant, you as a person no longer exist! There will never be another topic of conversation! I told people at 10 weeks the last time and I wish I kept it a few more weeks to just us!

Dragon5000 · 17/10/2016 20:51

Oh yes babyand and people who you don't really have anything to do with normally like to come and prod you and ask how the baby is! And tell you their birthing stories!!!

peaceloveandbiscuits · 17/10/2016 20:53

"Your life is going to change forever!"
"You don't know what a shock you're in for!"
"You'll never sleep again!"

All true, of course, but just nod and smile.

iemma321q · 17/10/2016 20:55

Hi all.

Hope it's ok to join you. Got my BFP this weekend. Estimate that I'm 5 weeks tomorrow. This will be my 2nd child - my first has just turned one. How is everyone doing?

babyand · 17/10/2016 20:56

The best is.... sleep when baby sleeps. Grin

Is that the same time the fairy comes and cleans, makes the dinner, washes and sterilises!!

babyand · 17/10/2016 21:01

Welcome iemma big congrats!!

Dontstepinthecowpat · 17/10/2016 21:03

Hi everyone.

Sorry some of you are feeling rotten. Congratulations to the newbies! I've been of line for a few days, we took the DC away - 8 hours in a theme park on Saturday and loads of walking yesterday has lead to a day on the couch today with a rotten cold.

DH said in Saturday night that I look like I have a proper baby bump already Confused I thought I was hiding it with my ever increasing boobs! I suppose my body knows what it is to be pregnant and I've lost lots of tummy muscles with the other 3, either that or it's twins Hmm

peaceloveandbiscuits · 17/10/2016 21:05

Haha sleep when the baby sleeps Hmm My DS only slept in his pram when I would walk him for 5 miles a day. I did it to get some peace and quiet, but I was dead on my feet.
Then when he did sleep through the night for a month at 8 weeks I was still getting up at night to express.

Apart from that it was brill, though Confused

Masweetpea1 · 17/10/2016 21:07

'sleep when the baby sleeps' ha! Never had a worse piece of advice given to me!!

NappingRabbit · 17/10/2016 21:10

Sorry you're struggling peace, I'm not sure how anyone manages with sickness and a toddler. The exhaustion is making running after my 17mo a real challenge. We spent most of this morning reading books on the sofa, I just couldn't get up and go. And that's without feeling sick.

I didn't start showing until about 18 weeks last time, I could notice a slight bump from 16 weeks but nobody else could. Even when I tried to point it out. I imagine it will be much sooner this time!

peaceloveandbiscuits · 17/10/2016 21:17

Ha we went to the library today. I was hoping for a nice cuddle on the sofa reading books together, but he decided it was a playground Sad

Mommytobe2017 · 17/10/2016 21:22

You're all making motherhood and pregnancy sound so delightful...

Grin
FlashingLights · 17/10/2016 21:39

Thanks for the wishes everyone. I am feeling hopeful that it is just too soon.

I had a slight bump about 16/17 weeks first time around and a various obvious one at 19 weeks. Thankfully I wear scrubs at work so quite easily hidden if I show earlier than anticipated!

Masweetpea1 · 17/10/2016 21:45

mommy, it is totally worth it, that's why we're doing it again Smile

Sixisthemagicnumber · 17/10/2016 21:57

I started showing at 20 weeks with my first, about 16 weeks with my third and by 10/11 weeks with my third. Goodness knows how early I will be showing this time as my stomach muscles separated in my last pregnancy and as it was only 12 months ago everything is still loose and will no doubt expand very easily.

KittyVonCatsington · 17/10/2016 22:03

So sorry you've had to go to the EPU today FlashingLights. Hopefully nothing to worry about and your HCG levels go up on Wednesday.

I had the flu jab with DD Mumofthreeandbean so you've reminded me to book another one-thanks!

Glad everything went well BoBo-my neighbour is just recovering from surgery after an ectopic so I'm relieved you haven't had to go through that. Clever bean!

Those are some long working days anna-don't forget to try and take it easy if you can!

Congratulations iemma! A lovely small gap there-my DD is 17 months so I will just miss out on 'two under two'!

KittyVonCatsington · 17/10/2016 22:04

And MundayCakes-you've done well to get through today, feeling like that!

peaceloveandbiscuits · 17/10/2016 22:42

Anyone started a new thread yet?

Masweetpea1 · 18/10/2016 07:38

I can't find one, can someone post a link if they've created a new one x

Blueskyrain · 18/10/2016 12:57

Hi. Can I please ask some practical questions, as this is my first pregnancy?

  1. Is it normal to want to pee on sticks every few days to make sure its still there?
  2. I had quite a bit of mild cramping the last couple of days (I'm about 4 1/2 weeks), but its mostly cleared up now - thats not bad is it?
  3. If I want to reduce stretch marks, is there anything I can do early on - start using a cream really early or something?
  4. Sorry if this is a bit TMI, but can I just carry on normal with sex (if I feel like it), or do I have to be particularly gentle? Are there things I should avoid?
annakd1234 · 18/10/2016 13:43

Hi bluesky
There is a new thread that's been made called EDD June 2017 2, come join us on that!

But to try and answer your questions-
I'm still poas everyday- just to check! My bed thinks I'm mad!!
It's my first pg too but from what I've read it seems to be fairly normal- lots going on in your uterus so some mild cramps/ pinching pains seems usual, I've had quite a few intermittently.
Re. Stretch marks - from reading it seems to be mainly genetic so some people will some won't, but regular moisturising can't do any harm right?!
I've just been having sex normally - apart from my boobs they're far too sore to be touched!
