Anyone else Due June 2017?

1000 replies

pinkiponk · 21/09/2016 20:40

BFP last Friday, will (hopefully) be my second child, as have a 2 year old DS already. Doctor said I was due 2 June Smile
Feeling very excited, but quite nervous as had a MMC before DS, so noticing when symptoms have gone/come back!
Also finding it hard not being able to talk to anyone in RL (obviously DH knows).
Anyone else got this news recently and care to join? Smile

Can I join please. I got a bfp a few days ago but I am still very very early. I am 3+6 according to LMP dates and I will be due around 20th June. This will be baby number 4 for me and is a huge surprise. It took us over 4 years to conceive baby number 3 and he has just tuned one and I am still breastfeeding so did not expect to get pregnant. Now the news has sunk in me and DH are very happy and DH is already making plans to make more space in the house to accommodate a new baby Smile

Mumraaah, I'm going with I've got a sore tummy, at least until the scan. Once the kids know everyone knows!

VeganMama83 · 10/10/2016 06:36

Welcome newbies! x

NappingRabbit · 10/10/2016 07:34

Just catching up, welcome and congratulations all newbies!

My main symptom at the moment seems to be nesting. I know it's far too early for that, but the idea of squishing another person into our flat is making me want to declutter everything. Like some of you, we're in a 2 bed with no chance of moving to something bigger just yet. We're lucky to have quite big, equal sized bedrooms so there will be room to share, I'm mainly worried about storage space, hence my need to clear out and declutter!

Other than that I'm still feeling slightly queasy at times but nothing major. I'm waiting for it to hit me properly. Last time I felt perfectly normal at this stage.

Just did the 2nd cbd from the pack. Last Monday it was 2-3 and today it's 3+ so that's calmed my nerves for a bit! Counting down the days to my early scan!

Waves at all the newbies!
My 4yo is desperate for a baby, he tells me all the things he wants to do etc worth baby so we are talking about babies and getting name choices out of him is hilarious!! However I won't tell him till we have a scam pic as he'll be devastated if I doesn't go to plan. I think he may have an idea but e haven't confirmed it yet! Last year he told everyone at nursery I was having a baby out the blue so if he does say anything now we xan blag how desperate he is for a sibling!

So proud of myself! went to a show last night and didn't fall asleep!

But I've run out of bread and am starving so might have to hit up McDonald's for breakfast!

SleepForTheWeak · 10/10/2016 08:05

Napping I am also seriously nesting and want to de clutter and re decorate EVERYWHERE!!

Has anyone told close family or friends?

Have you let the maternity unit know?

I'll phone maternity later today although as I recall with DD hey don't want to see you until around 8 weeks? (Community run unit here)

SleepForTheWeak · 10/10/2016 08:07

Also - no symptoms yet (except missed period!)

I don't have any early symptoms with DD so maybe I'll be lucky and miss the morning sickness again famous last words

Sixisthemagicnumber · 10/10/2016 08:11

I'm only 3+6 (we did early test) and DH is already wanting to sort out storage and declutter the house. He was down at ikea yesterday looking at storage options 🙄. We do have 4 double bedrooms but this will be DC4 so one of the bedrooms will need to accommodate two children. I think we actually do have plenty of space but we have got used to having a lot of space and have filled
Some of it with unnecessary stuff.

MumofthreeandBean · 10/10/2016 08:26

I am expecting dc 4 and with 3 bedrooms it will be a squeeze but we will manage!
Decluttering has started and dh has 101 jobs he wants to get done before June!!

Hello newbies!!! Congratulations!!

Can I ask a stupid question? Who do you phone to organise you're booking with midwifes etc? Your Dr's surgery? I've just registered with a new Dr's in the area I'm going to be living and need to phone today but need an idea of what I'm talking about! Confused

Mooseville · 10/10/2016 08:33

Oops forgot 6 weeks today!

Goingmadttc · 10/10/2016 08:36

Hey moose, I just called the reception of my GP and told them I'd just got a BFP and when should I book in for my first appointment x

RetroHippy · 10/10/2016 08:46

Morning all! Bfp on Friday, all being well number 2 due around 16th June (though number one made a slightly impromptu entrance so I'm not holding my breath!)

DH in total shock, I'm not sure what he thought the result of ditching the condoms would be GrinHmm

So far I'm loving the 3am peeing and starting to get a bit of boob discomfort. We have told BIL and SIL because DH was about to crumble and tell his mum if he couldn't talk to someone!

The last pregnancy went by in a bit of a fug as I was working ft and we moved house in the middle, so planning to try and really enjoy this one.

RetroHippy · 10/10/2016 08:47

And hello Kitty and Munday!

haveacupoftea · 10/10/2016 09:03

Welcome new people Smile

Heading home today from our weekend away...avoiding the hot tub and wine was easy when I thought about my tiny baby! The size of a ladybird Ovia tells me!

I am obsessed with looking at pictures to see what progress we are making every day Smile

Skee · 10/10/2016 09:39

Morning all!

I'm 5wks today and trying not to get too obsessive with symptom spotting. I had noticeable cramping for about a week up until yesterday, and it seems to have stopped - just the odd twinge. And the sore boobs seem to be much less painful today... worried that these are signs that everything's going to come to an abrupt end... anyone else got this?

Welcome other fellow newbs Smile

Mummyh2016 · 10/10/2016 09:39

Hi I've rang my drs this morning expecting them to tell me to grab a form from reception which my friend had to do. They want to see me though, going in an hour. Just wondered what they'll do? I have nervous belly Hmm

Skee · 10/10/2016 09:59

How far along are you Mummyh?

I've just plucked up the courage to call the docs, given a number for self referral midwife service, I've got my first appointment on the 8th Nov - I'll be 9+1

It's such a long way away! 😩

peaceloveandbiscuits · 10/10/2016 10:19

I've got an appointment with the GP on Wednesday.

Mummyh2016 · 10/10/2016 10:40

Only 4 weeks but my friend didn't ring until she was 7 weeks and couldn't see the midwife for another 4 weeks so didn't want to leave it in case the same happened with me.

RetroHippy · 10/10/2016 11:00

FFS, 4+3, hello nausea Envy

Pretty sure that didn't kick in for a good few weeks with DS. Just scraped his congealed weetabix into the bin and nearly vommed.

haveacupoftea · 10/10/2016 11:19

skee that is totally normal. I had cramping right around time of missed AF then it just stopped. Boobs sore some days and not others. I've still barely any symptoms other than increased cm...even then its not the floods people go on about.

I laugh when I remember the TWW and how I genuinely thought I would have vomiting, CM, tiredness straight away! All I had was a bit of mild cramping after orgasm Blush

Skee · 10/10/2016 11:41

Well I hope all goes well today for you mummyh! I'm glad I called this morning, first appointment not for another 4wks which I think sounds about right. Glad I didn't put it off though, and I've got a date to focus on.

That's so reassuring tea! Yeah, I also expected everything to happen at once Blush jeez I feel so uneducated!

I don't have anyone close to ask about this stuff, very glad I've found mumsnet!

Joy388 · 10/10/2016 13:41

Thanks Skee and Annakd. It's so reassuring that there's other people in the same position and fretting as much as me! Focussing on the stats has made me feel a bit better, because after around 5 weeks it's much, much more likely that everything will be fine (c.80-90% chance of pregnancy continuing normally). I read these stats on a number of different sources so hoping they're correct Smile

Annakd - the early ultrasound sounds like a very good idea to put your mind at rest a bit. How far along do you need to be for that?

Were you able to calculate your due date ok after coming straight off the pill? I used opks so I think I'm due 16/06.
