Anyone else Due June 2017?

1000 replies

pinkiponk · 21/09/2016 20:40

BFP last Friday, will (hopefully) be my second child, as have a 2 year old DS already. Doctor said I was due 2 June Smile
Feeling very excited, but quite nervous as had a MMC before DS, so noticing when symptoms have gone/come back!
Also finding it hard not being able to talk to anyone in RL (obviously DH knows).
Anyone else got this news recently and care to join? Smile

We'rein the process of moving to a new area, so I'm hanging on to do my booking in appointments etc with the new doctors! I figure I've a couple of weeks to play with!
5 +2 here and tested this morning and Got my 3+.

I never even saw 1-2 as at 3+6 when I first tested I got 2-3!

MumofthreeandBean · 05/10/2016 06:53

Vegan mama - Thankyou for the calcium chart, I will do my best, struggle to eat much at all at the moment but hopefully that will pass.

I would use a Facebook group too x

Myfirstbornisacollie · 05/10/2016 06:59

I'm still chatting to my mn antenatal group on FB that I met with when due with my 3 year old I'd be up for joining but is a bit early yet for me want to see a heartbeat first.
I'm south east Wales so not far from Bristol
Did a digi yesterday and got 3+ going to start thinking about booking a scan
Had a very emotional conversation with DH last night he is worried that the stress of another dc might wreck our relationship I'm still feeling upset/angry

MumofthreeandBean · 05/10/2016 07:26

My firstborn- I am sure you are not alone there. My hubby has been worried with every pregnancy, but he is more scared about the birth than anything else, my first was a very difficult birth and then the 2nd was not great either, he's scared of losing me or the baby. This time he's making out he has no emotion towards the baby but I know as we progress he will lighten up and start to enjoy the thought of another baby. I hope your hubby thinks it through and comes around to the idea xx

Masweetpea1 · 05/10/2016 08:04

Hi all
Can i join you? I've been lurking for a few days!
In 5+2 today and got my 3+earlier this week. I have a dd who is 16 months old.

I had an mmc in July, i was 8 weeks but baby was only 6 Sad. I'm 41, so on the higher age range which just makes everything that bit more scary.

I'd be up for a Facebook group but like others only once I've had the 12 week scan.
Feeling very nervous about it all, so not as excited as i was in june, but hoping once i get the 12 week scan the excitement will start!! Just 7 weeks to wait!!
x

haveacupoftea · 05/10/2016 08:43

I'm feeling really down last night and this morning. Convinced this is all too good to be true and i'm going to miscarry Sad i think after i had that dream I realised there is a real baby inside me and it means more if i lose it now Sad

Mooseville · 05/10/2016 09:05

Come on tea Positive mental attitude! It's very scary, but we can't think the worst until it actually happens. IF it happens...

Just a few more weeks till your scan and hopefully you'll feel more reassured.
Are you going to have an early scan? I am as I think that will help ease my wobbles!

VeganMama83 · 05/10/2016 09:19

Tea! Think positive. I think it's such a limbo state when you've not long got a bfp but haven't had an early scan/12 week scan. If anything I think I'm worse this time as I know how much there is to lose now I have my 2 boys already iyswim?

Are you having an early scan? I will purely for my sanity as a 12 week one wouldn't be til end of November!

IWantedToBeAnAstronaut · 05/10/2016 09:30

I didn't realise how emotional being pregnant was - it's hard ttc and then once you get a bfp the worry changes, but continues!

tea - I have the same ups and downs, but there's nothing we can do but hope... it feels like 12 weeks is gonna take forever though...

Welcome mas I'm nearly 40 with my first so having similar wobbles about age

vegan I'd be up for a secret FB group

mrs totally unquenchable thirst here too! I made a smoothie this morning in the hope it would help, but now i feel bloated, nauseous and thirsty HmmGrin

VeganMama83 · 05/10/2016 10:07

Astronaut the worry just changes again when they are finally here!

LollyCake · 05/10/2016 12:27

MoonlightMojitos and junebaby I'm in Bristol too. I'll be going to Southmead again, although I'd love to go to Cossham.

Hopefully my husband will pick me up a midwife pack today so I can get things rolling. We're on holiday at the end of the week so I'd like to get it sorted by then.

I'd also be up for a Facebook group. I find it way too difficult to keep up on here.

MoonlightMojitos · 05/10/2016 12:40

Ooh lolly we could be giving birth in southmead together then lol

Dontstepinthecowpat · 05/10/2016 12:43

Hope everyone is doing ok today!

I am so bloated and don't like the taste of everything but still seem to be able to eat everything in site, I think the nausea/morning sickness is about to hit in the next few days. I have been lucky with the other 3 not to be too sick and only in the morning but as I start work at 7 am it won't be a pleasant start to the day.

How are you all going to hide not drinking, thinking next month with Christmas parties starting, etc. This is assuming there are others on here like me who enjoy a Wine Blush I am using Sober for October as an excuse at the minute!

Thanks for the words of encouragement - maybe it's hormones getting me down like a PMS type thing? I'm not really having mood swings though, just a general fed up ness and last night I cried and cried before bed. Well if you count swinging between sadness and irritability then I guess I am having mood swings. Could be tiredness too come to think of it. I'm normally really cheerful so this isn't like me at all.

I just wish I would get some morning sickness so I could see any sign at all that something is happening in there! Please don't remind me of this when it hits though Blush

OK positive mental attitude for the rest of the day Grin

MrsY87 · 05/10/2016 13:22

It's horrible isn't it astronaut, i suffered from it with DD too and all the drinking just makes me need to pee even more than I already do!

Cowpat Someone suggested just taking** a drink and not drinking it as people notice more if you don't take than don't drink....good for big occasions, slightly harder at a small thing like dinner with friends particularly if DP isn't there to drink it for you! I'll most prob end up driving to lots of things over the next few months as at least that is an easy excuse no one can argue with!

BoBo90 · 05/10/2016 13:54

Ahhh I have't been on in a couple days and there's loads to catch up on

I'm very jealous of everyone who already has appointments!! I'm seeing the gp tomorrow to cancel fertility checks and ind out how I contact the midwife Grin Bit annoyed with myself for not booking an appointment earlier! I'm 5+2 today and it is dragging already!

Would any of the mums on here recommend an early scan? I've been thinking about getting one at 8 weeks but as it's then only 4 more weeks to wait until the nhs scan I'm not sure if it's worth it?

Is anyone in Swindon area? xxx

VeganMama83 · 05/10/2016 15:36

I had an early scan with my first as I was bleeding and paid for a private one with my second as I was a bag of nerves. I will get one this time at about 8 weeks as it's not worth an extra 4 weeks of stress for the sake of £40-50 xx

MoonlightMojitos · 05/10/2016 15:37

katniss this is exciting, quite a few of us!

cowpat last time I did that an pretended to drink twice and no one noticed! Took drinks and poured them down the loo/dp drank them haha. I have a work social tomorrow but luckily as I've been off work sick I can't actually use the antibiotics excuse without anyone doubting it! I'll be 13 weeks at my work Christmas party so I'll just tell them all then :).

bobo good luck at the GPs! I will be paying privately for an 8 week scan but that's mainly because of my previous mc, I don't think I would if I hadn't had one as it is money I could do with saving.

Purplefairy21 · 05/10/2016 16:26

Eek got my booking in appointment with mw next week. (I'll be 6+2) Got a pack to fill in today as well.
bobo I'll be pushing for an early scan as I've a history of recurrent mc and probably paying for another early one assuming that I get told I can only have one nhs one. I can't really afford it but my anxieties are through the roof after last mc so imo worth it

Goingmadttc · 05/10/2016 16:45

I think I might pay for an early scan too as have had 3 CPs and feeling nervous. Plus don't have my first appointment til 10.5 weeks and so sure my first scan will be later than 12 weeks. Cheapest I found near me is £75 but think I will book it for 7.5 weeks for peace of mind..

Mooseville · 05/10/2016 17:27

I'm just booking a scan for 7+4 too. Just to help ease the nerves and to make it seem more real!

BoBo90 · 05/10/2016 17:34

You've convinced me 😊
I might try and et an nhs one on grounds I'm not 100% sure on dates (long story but mutilple lh surges and 60day cycle) and if they say no then I'll book one for 8 weeks 😄 And like moose said it will hopefully make it feel more real!

Quietlyalert · 05/10/2016 19:09

Hello, thought I'd jump in and say hi! I'm in my late 30s and almost 6 weeks pregnant with my second. Am having mild nausea and tension headaches (a new one for me!) and needing to eat very regularly, also absolutely shattered, but other than that feeling okay! as per last time also seem to be burping constantly - delightful! last time I had awful nausea from about 6 to 16 weeks so I'm hoping I may get off more lightly this time!

Masweetpea1 · 05/10/2016 19:53

tea, I'm exactly the same and sobbed my way to work this morning. I'm so worried it's going to end the same way my last pregnancy did and am over analysing all my non symptoms. Im like you, i want to start being sick. Weird how you want these things to happen and when they do you want them gone!

Keeping positive though, we've passed the first hurdle of getting pregnant Smile
