Jobrum I'm with you on the migraines - they seem to be getting worse and I have a constant low level background headache I just can't shift. I've booked gp and will see what they say. Paracetamol is helping to a point, but in worries about how many I'm taking - it's every day now.

We'll definitely find out the sex, I just want to shop and get organised and excited :-). Last time we were so impatient we booked a private sexing scan at 17 weeks! Money is a bit tighter this time so will be waiting till 20 weeks!

onecrazycook · 23/09/2016 18:18

Feeling a bit worried today. I've had a tiny bit of brownish spotting today and I'm exactly 10weeks. No pain and no more since, but stressing all the same Confused

Niks2026 · 23/09/2016 18:23

DH and I don't want to find out the sex. We didn't know with our first DD but we found out with our second. We are happy with another girl and we'd be happy with a boy so going to wait til bubba arrives.

So glad it's the weekend I'm utterly exhausted.

Celen · 23/09/2016 18:30

onecrazycook do you have an EPU near you? Maybe wait til morning to see if you get anymore then give them a call?

MumiTravels · 23/09/2016 18:50

It's hit me. I'm exhausted. 3 x 12.5 hour night shifts have KO'd me completely. Had to tell one of the carers in work last night as a gentleman with dementia kept trying to hit and kick me so I needed assistance with everything I needed to do for him. She had guessed though as she hasn't seen me for 6 weeks or so.

I had brocolli and stilton soup and milky bar for tea. My appetite is really bad, I feel hungry, make something, eat a few spoons then I'm full.

I don't want to find out the sex but DH does so we'll have to see.

Celen · 23/09/2016 19:13

Oh Mumi that sounds so exhausting, you must feel dead in your feet Sad

Do you have any time to relax over the weekend?

I had my dating scan this afternoon & everything looks fine. I was so anxious, much more so than I was with DD.
They have now put my EDD at 31/03/2017

gems definitely see your doctor. A lot of women get more in the first trimester and then they go as the hormones stabilise. Mine did not and I was 20 something weeks before I got anything to prevent them. This time they started in the same week, are identical in their build up etc and I just got very upset thinking about how I'd cope again and felt dreadful asking for medication while pregnant but I have to be able to care for dd. They are the reason I lost weight in my last pg as I was too ill to eat for half the week. You can take stronger painkillers if that helps and I was told I can carry on taking my triptans. Hopefully yours will go soon Smile.

mumi that sounds tiring! Do you get a break from night shifts for a bit now or are you back on them soon?

gemsbok · 23/09/2016 20:20

Thanks jobrum - yours definitely sound worse than mine. I also had headaches and the odd migraine in my last pregnancy and dos nothing about it (other than moan to DP!) so recognising it this time was daunting - hopefully the gp will be able to help.

onecrazycook · 23/09/2016 20:25

Celen I'm checking every hour and if I get anymore I will call my midwife. I do feel ok so hoping it's just some stretching blood

Mummymulb16 · 23/09/2016 20:45

Congrats little spoon , amazing to see little ones. My due date is 30/03/17 - hope it's earlier tho as still got sickness and keep spitting! Hope everyone with headaches and nausea get well soon X

Celen · 23/09/2016 20:58

onecrazycook, do you still have symptoms? Hope it settles down for you soon xx

choccybiscuit · 23/09/2016 22:40

onecrazy midwives say it's so common. I've had pink, red and brown bleeding and baby is fine. If it gets red and heavy give epu a call.
mumi no wonder your done in, I would need to sleep for a week after those shifts. Hope you get some well earned rest soon.

jpeg28 · 23/09/2016 22:45

Mumi you must be shattered!!

onecrazy I'm sure it's completely fine! I've had tons of brown spotting and so far all ok!

Just got back from Bridget Jones... So funny but so scary as made me think... Shit... I'm having a baby too!!

For some reason I have returned home in a foul mood, had a go at OH for no reason and he thinks I'm mental! The house is a state and I'm just fed up of doing everything. I have to ask him so many times to just put a bloody load of washing in... Then he doesn't take it out and 3 days later it needs rewashing!! Sorry... Rant over!

What a lot of beautiful scans :)

We've never found out the sex before. I'm torn this time, if it's another boy I might need to prepare for that psychologically. I won't be shopping beforehand anyway, we have all the important things, and if needed I'll send DH to the shops for new clothes. He loves jobs like that Grin

Bubbinsmakesthree · 24/09/2016 04:40

why is it whatever time I need to get up I wake up about 1.5 - 2 hours earlier? Had to be up at 5am this morning as we're catching an early flight - obviously I wake before 3:30am with terrible nausea. I now feel like I go back to sleep (having been sick repeatedly!) but it's too late of course.

SharkBastard · 24/09/2016 04:47

I feel your frustration bubbins

I woke at 2am as the cat wanted to sit on my chest...have stuffed crackers down my throat but still feel dreadful and can't get back to sleep nearly 3 hours later. I'm gonna puke hardo soon

Where are you off too?

Bubbinsmakesthree · 24/09/2016 05:05

It is miserable isn't it shark? I keep thinking I must be over the worst but the sickness is still keeping me company!

I keep panicking that it might be twins given how much worse the nausea is this time and how absurdly large my bump is!

We're off to Spain - a week in a tiny fishing village with a lovely beach. Would be better if I didn't have to keep in touch with work all week, Ho-hum!

Theknittinggorilla · 24/09/2016 07:39

Hi everyone - seems there are a lot of us still feeling rubbish! But lots of lovely scan pics.
I have my serenity scan this morning, 10 weeks today so fingers crossed all well. Just want to get it done. Then may tell my boss on Monday as it's pretty obvious my stomach has expanded.

Have people with more than one told their other children yet? Wondering when to tell my nearly four year old

jobrum · 24/09/2016 07:45

I feel for everyone still suffering sickness. Mine is only occassionally now and the relief is wonderful! Hopefully we all feel better very soon. I've definitely felt sicker this pregnancy and also have the twin worry!

bubbins so jealous! We just atill havent got round to arranging a holiday. Maybe next year...

RaRa25 · 24/09/2016 07:59

knittinggorilla my DD is 4 in a few weeks. We haven't told her, but she has said a few times that mummy has a baby in her tummy. Whether she has picked up on something or is just stating to associate in general that's where babies come from I have no idea.
At the mo we just laugh it off as we haven't told family yet (10 weeks today, not sure what I am waiting for!!) I think once we have a scan pic we will tell her, as my stomachs is showing now. Good luck with your scan today.
Sorry to hear people are still struggling with symptoms. I am ok it's just the sore boobs which are annoying me, never had it last time.
ever good to know, I shall go ahead and book my pedicure with gel polish.

ChatEnOeuf · 24/09/2016 08:00

Still nauseous all day here, except that beautiful window between 2 and 5pm, that's my happy time.

We told DD, who is five, last week. She knows I've had a 'poorly tummy' for weeks and was getting worried. I figured at 10w with a good scan I was probably as safe as it gets at this stage. We showed her the scan picture, (is that me when I was in your tummy? Is that DS when he was in your tummy?) she was very excited - she's really wanted another sibling ('one that doesn't have to die') for ages.
