Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! This heat can kiss my arse. And who KNEW being so neurotic about which changing mat to buy could be so satisfying and addictive!

Sooo many gorgeous babies now! And equally lovely Mummy's! We are amazing! What a year! Can you believe it's been a year since our first tentative TTC thread!? Look how far we've come!

Roll up, literally, in my case, cause I'm practically rotund! for TTC #1 Grads!

I just wrote a massive post and list the lot!!! Angry

The general gist was you're all wonderful and doing great Grin

Arya has diarrhoea which is really worrying but she's still doing lots of wet nappies and eating us out of house and home so I don't think there's anything really wrong just a tummy ache, probably a mild bug.

Going to get her weighed again tomorrow. Slightly concerned that I've got to walk a 3 mile round trip and I'm so out of shape that I struggle with 1 mile Confused I used to do a 3 mile hill walk every lunchtime before I got pregnant Shock

BunchOfBobs · 22/09/2016 04:58

So I've been awake since my last post. Lactulose has definitely given Atticus trapped wind. He's fine on his belly on my chest but as soon as I put him on his back he's squirming, straining and then squeezes out a fart and cries. Poor little man.

Stardrey I've just been reading the Grease thread, I bloody love that film and know every word to the songs- including the weird none words bit of "we go together". I have great memories of hand jiving at the last works Christmas do I attended before becoming self employed- I hand bruises on my thighs for days Grin

Potato sorry to hear Arya had diarrhoea, hope it clears up soon. Hope the walk tomorrow goes okay. I'm supposed to be meeting up with baby group people for a weekly walk they go on for 1.5hours. I don't think that's happening after only 2 hours sleep. This boy better nap in his swing today so I can nap.

Nevlet · 22/09/2016 04:59

Bodhi appears to be auditioning for the lead in oliver... All I am getting from him for the last day is a very convincing please mummy, may i have some more? Or i will scream till yoi give in then throw it up on you as my eyes are bigger than my belly

BunchOfBobs · 22/09/2016 05:05

From Grease songs in my head I've now got Oliver. Thanks Nev WinkHope Bodhis appetite settles soon, or at least his piling. Fx today for the blood work.

Nevlet · 22/09/2016 05:37

Haha sorry bunch! Have just got him back down to sleep (i hope!!) as 6am is IV, heel prick blood test and obs time and if he is already sleeping he sleeps through and doesnt scream the place down.

Desperately hoping this blood test comes back low enough that we can go home feeling like we will never leave at the moment!!

Pinklily1 · 22/09/2016 08:03

Morning all

nev, fingers crossed for today's tests and that you get to go home soon.

potato, I hope Arya feels better soon and that your walk goes ok.

leonie, good luck by yourself. My OH had to go back to work after only three days of us being home from hospital. It's hard work but you do cope.

soda, i hope your kidney infection clears up soon Flowers

lillian, I had a forceps birth and episiotomy. The hospital prescribed paracetamol and dihydrocodeine. I took the paracetamol along with ibuprofen (like bunch), but I didn't take the dihydrocodeiene as apparently it can make you constipated. I used maternity pads with aloe Vera from mothercare and my pregnancy pillow, mounded into a donut shape, was a god send to sit on - it relieved the pressure on my bits.

Hope the dog sitting goes well audrey!

bunch, I'm so pleased that Atticus has done a poo!! Hopefully that will get things going a bit and his wind will pass soon.

Enjoy your trip home may.

How are you feeling today indi?

I love love love Grease, but I'm not ashamed to say I love Grease 2 even more. It's so bad that it's good Grin

I'm getting my flu jab tomorrow Hmm. I hadn't realised they offered it to those who have just had babies but they must do.

Mileymoocow · 22/09/2016 09:24

pink I didn't realise either! I think I'll have to book myself in, too!

bunch I'm so relived for Atticus! I hope he feels so much better now Grin

nev I have everything crossed it's good news for you Flowers hopefully little man has picked up and you can finally go home.

potato poor Arya! Sad plenty of snuggles for her today and hope she's better soon!

Health visitor AND midwife coming today, along with visitors etc. Me and OH haven't had a day just the 2 of us since Harrison was born and I'm getting a tad fed up. But he has been absolutely spoilt rotten to the point we have £200 worth of gift cards, over £100 already to put into his savings account and a wardrobe absolutely packed full of clothes. He totally deserves it, we had another brilliant night. OH took the twilight shift, waking me up only to feed Harrison so I reckon I got about 6 hours of sleep last night all together. He feeds, we wind him then he's straight back down, I feel so bloody lucky. Probably about 2.5-3 hours of solid sleep is getting the norm now.

Here's a link I found amusing. Please don't read it if you're in the waiting room and really don't want to know the afters of childbirth Grin www.scarymommy.com/10-things-nobody-tells-you-about-after-birth/?utm_source=FB

Hope everyone has a brilliant day! After being out and about too much and having a lot of pressure in my poor vag, I fully intend on being on the couch all day in my pj's.

Mileymoocow · 22/09/2016 09:34

A little bit of Harrison love for this morning Grin

PotatosMum · 22/09/2016 09:38

Bunch sorry you had a rubbish nights sleep.
Arya seems a little better today but the proof will be in the poop, when it arrives! We're not going to be weighed today as the clinic has been cancelled due to training Sad

Nev poor little Bodhi but so funny from the point of view of someone not being vomited on.
Fingers crossed the blood tests come back the way you want and you can go home.

I only had a flu jab a couple of months ago, do I need to have another one?

Now planning to go to a local well known shopping centre tomorrow. It'll be the longest Arya has been out since she was born so I'm hoping she's ok. OH is hoping I'll find something he can get me for my birthday. They do have a "joules" so I'm gutted I'm fat at the moment Confused

PotatosMum · 22/09/2016 09:43

Miley Harrison is so cute.

Forgot to say. Yesterday I left DSS to his own devices as he didn't seem too ill and OH was obviously a little put out that I hadn't been more attentive so this morning when I got up I knocked his door and asked how he was. He answered in a normal voice "I feel f..." Then obviously remembered that despite not being his mum or dad I have some sway on his life and switched to a weak poorly voice finish "I feel a little better" Grin the only thing missing was a dramatic cough but I think he thought that would be pushing it lol

leoniethelioness · 22/09/2016 09:44

Potato I'm tempted to treat myself to a Joules raincoat. I figure it doesn't matter if a coat is a bit big if I do go on to lose weight. I've found a Slimming World class at 9.30 on Fridays. I am going to go next week. I have a lot to lose! Joules sell nice wellies and accessories too. One of my colleague's bought Theo a baby grow from there. I've changed it to size 3 to 6 months but I'm so looking forward to him wearing it!

AudreyBradshaw · 22/09/2016 09:56

Haha bunch I love Grease. When I was at dancing school we did the Grass medley every year for about 5 years as part of the show circuit Grin it's o lying now when I think about it that I realise how filthy it actually is! Poor little Atti though, with his bardy belly.

Good luck with the walk potato dh wanted to go for a walk yesterday but I felt rotten so I managed to out him off. We'll be doing an hour long amble every day for the next week with my DPS two dogs, mine are sensible, they go for a wee in the morning and then go get straight back in bed! Grin poor Arya with the poops. Awwww!

miley he really is a beautiful boy! I can't get over just how much he looks like your dp aswell! The genes are strong with this one!

pink I have honestly never ever watched grease 2. It felt disloyal to John and Olivia, is it excellent?!

nev got all my fingers crossed that it goes well and Bodhi is discharged, what a hellish week for you. Fingers crossed for everything looking onwards and upwards now Flowers

Mileymoocow · 22/09/2016 10:04

potato I hope you manage to find something and at least you're out and about for your birthday Grin that's funny about your DSS, men really do love to milk it don't they!

audrey thanks, he really is the image of his daddy. I did say all the way through after having horrendous sickness, terrible back pain and heartburn etc he'd come out looking like OH! I've ordered this for them as a little gift, couldn't be more appropriate! I've also never watched Grease 2, I was scared I'd be disappointed Blush

IndiX · 22/09/2016 10:29

Morning ladies,
DH slept in the spare room last night and I actually slept! Only went for 2 wees and actually got a pretty good nights sleepGrin feel like a different person today!
Fanny daggers have subsided, I get the odd one but not half as bad as yesterday. Going to put a wash on and then go to spin and if the weather holds out I'll take the dogs for a walk.

Miley Harrison is just so adorable. I love how dark and hairy he is, I'm hoping Beanie will be the same. I'm pretty dark and hairy but DH is more mousey. So happy for you that you are getting sleep, well done little Harrison!

Nev crossing everything that Bodhi is discharged today!

Potato your DSS sounds like me when I couldn't be arsed going to school..cough cough 'mum I'm sick'...
Hope you have a nice shopping trip.

Hope all babies/mummies/mummies to be are doing wellSmile

Pinklily1 · 22/09/2016 10:35

audrey and miley, Grease 2 is one of those films that is so horrendously bad and cringeworthy that you just have to love it!

Damson9 · 22/09/2016 12:03

Totally just out this on the old thread by mistake... I'm an idiot...

I've caved and booked a private scan for next week. Just waiting for DH to confirm he can get out of work.

We ummed and ahhed about it, but I've been quite sickly and haven't made it to the office everyday, so feel I owe them an explanation as I've been messing them around and working from home, but don't want to say anything before I've had a scan, and my NHS one is over another month away.

I know it's still early, but a successful early scan (I'll be almost 9 weeks) does significantly reduce the pre-12-week MC chance. Even the 12-week scan isn't bulletproof and I'd rather have the support from them than pretend everything is ok - they've probably already guessed but are going to be so happy if I tell them - they know we were having issues.

Nevlet · 22/09/2016 12:25

WE CAN GO HOME LATER ON!!!!!!

Little chunk has put on half a pound in 48 hours Shock

IrregularCommentary · 22/09/2016 12:33

Yay! Go Bodhi!

Love that outfit combo Miley

IndiX · 22/09/2016 13:33

Damson I booked an early scan too for around 8 weeks but ended up having a bit of brown spotting so had an nhs one instead around the same time and cancelled the private one. If a private scan makes you feel like the pregnancy is 'real' and you'd feel more comfortable telling work then go for it! It's lovely seeing your little bean and a heart beat for the first time Smile

Yaay nev!! Well done Bodhi you little eating machine!

Pinklily1 · 22/09/2016 13:37

Well done Bodhi! That's brilliant news!

Damson, it's so hard when work don't know you are expecting in the early days. I had to confess at 7 weeks as I had a long stretch off due to sickness. An early scan will be lovely.

Mileymoocow · 22/09/2016 13:40

damson we had a private early scan at 8 weeks, I was horrendously ill and like you, wanted to tell my boss why. Plus we wanted to tell our mothers on mothers day that they were going to be grandparents. It's a lovely experience Smile

indi I can't believe you're still going to spin class, I'm in absolute awe. I do love his hair, it goes amazingly fluffy after a bath, too. I often just find myself stroking it and smelling it Blush me and OH are both really dark so a hairy baby was totally inevitable. I do believe there's some truth on the old 'heartburn means a hairy baby' old wives tale!

nev wow! Go Bhodi you absolute superstar!

pink I may give it a go. But never admit to it Grin

Little chunk has fed and slept and shit all day - that's about it. I'm hoping he's putting weight on, HV is coming at 2 so we will see.

IrregularCommentary · 22/09/2016 15:26

Tamsin has been discharged by the midwife now Smile From too much weight loss she's back on track and almost back at birth weight. I'm also primarily breastfeeding now as she's not needing the formula top ups as much. Also, her poor little squished up breech legs are now straight 95% of the time.

So bloody chuffed right now!

Nev fantastic news that you can go home. Really pleased your little one is doing so well now Grin

Leonie the only thing I've ever bought from there is a handbag as I'm a bit tight when it comes to spending money on clothes etc. But I do like to go in there and stroke the lovely clothes like a mad woman... I like stroking irregular choice shoes too but I'd never be able to wear them.
What a cute pair, I'm sure Theo will catch up soon!

Miley lover the t-shirt/baby grow combo Smile

Indi glad you're feeling better.

Damson I had to tell my work I was pregnant at about 6 weeks because I was so sick I was signed off for the rest of the first trimester Confused my bosses reaction wasn't as expected, she cheered and clapped... Anyone would think she was looking forward to me going on maternity leave lol

Aww Irregular Tamsin is so cute! the only time Arya straightens her legs is if she's trying to have a poo or kicking an invisible attacker Confused--

Arya's tummy seems a little better today but her bottom is all red from the pooping Sad I've started sudocreming it... Poor thing is going to end up slathered in the stuff as its my solution to everything!

OH thought Arya's head looked uncomfortable as she'd fallen asleep in her bouncer and her head was resting on her shoulder. Cuddly hedgehog butt to the rescue!! I'm running out of space on my phone due to the amount of photos in taking Confused
