Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! This heat can kiss my arse. And who KNEW being so neurotic about which changing mat to buy could be so satisfying and addictive!

Sooo many gorgeous babies now! And equally lovely Mummy's! We are amazing! What a year! Can you believe it's been a year since our first tentative TTC thread!? Look how far we've come!

Roll up, literally, in my case, cause I'm practically rotund! for TTC #1 Grads!

Bunch if he hasn't pooped in 10 days then the poop waiting to come out will be rock hard. I'd risk the trapped wind and give it to him as he's already uncomfortable.

BunchOfBobs · 21/09/2016 01:49

Potato he's already not been pooing for 6 days prior to this and always results in a very soft blow out. Gp says as his stomach is palpable and soft and no pain on palpating he's not constipated and this is just his normal gut behaviour. It's perfectly "normal" for breastfed babies to go up to 2 weeks without pooing Hmm
He's not screaming when trying to go, just straining with grunts. He only had this afternoon of screaming when constantly feeding off me. God knows what it was about, once I took myself away he calmed right down, think he just worked himself into a boob frenzy. He beat the shit out of my chest whilst at it. Milk monster.

PotatosMum · 21/09/2016 07:22

Sorry Bunch I didn't realise it was normal for breast babies to go that long. Arya poops daily lucky me sounds like he just got himself worked up over nothing then.

Off to get my blood pressure done today. I'll have to argue with the receptionist again about whether I need to see a dr next week Hmm

OH keeps asking me what I want for my birthday and I'm irritating myself because I can't think of anything. How annoying is that Confused my birthdays Friday so at this rate I won't be getting anything Sad

Mileymoocow · 21/09/2016 08:16

My little man has been perfect last night. Hopefully it will continue. We came to bed at 10, woke at 1, 3 and half 5 for a feed, nappy change and straight back down to sleep. OH was kicked out of bed to have him for a couple of hours while i caught up on a little sleep. I'm pretty chuffed with him though Grin

bunch I really hope Atticus manages to go soon.

potato it sounds as though you deserve a spa day or afternoon tea if that's your thing! Failing that, some new jewellery off your little girl maybe? I'm sure you OH will think of something if you don't

Damson9 · 21/09/2016 08:17

So, I managed to scare the crap out of myself last night.

I went for a wee and when I wiped it was like pink-tinged CM, very faint, but enough to make me freak out.

'Oh my god,' I think, 'I'm spotting.' Then I realise I've been cramping fairly badly for the last couple of days. 'No,no,no,' I think, 'could this be the start of a miscarriage?'

Then I realise that in the shower I felt for my cervix position (oddly low, I thought - is that something I should be worried about?) and that the spotting will be from me having poked myself. Then I think about the cramps and realise that I'm so bloated I look half way gone already and it'll be trapped wind.

I am an idiot.

PotatosMum · 21/09/2016 08:28

Miley glad you managed to get some sleep.

sadly spas etc. Are my idea of hell Confused Arya is passionately opposed to me enjoying food and I always wear the same Jewellery which has sentimental value so no point getting anything else. OH is also stumped for what to get me Sad I'm not usually a normal girly girl. I don't even like cut flowers. Blush

Lol Danson totally normal pregnancy paranoia. At least you realised before going to a&e Wink

Pinklily1 · 21/09/2016 08:29

Morning ladies,

Evelyn is two weeks old today - where is time going?!

I hope everything is ok Elle Flowers

bunch, how are you feeling this morning? It's so hard when they seem inconsolable. Evelyn hates going in her car seat, and if we slow down when driving she cries and cries. We had to pull over the other day so I could comfort her as I just couldn't cope with her being so distressed. Does Your OH know how you felt yesterday? Does anything he do anything which soothes Atticus?

Hopefully Atticus will manage a poo soon. I've just seen the photos of him swimming on IG - he's just so adorable!! How long do they go in the water for?

Miley, sounds like you had a good night. Evelyn slept from 10.30pm-4am (a new record!) and from 5am until 8am. The health visitor came yesterday and said that it's likely she will start to wake more in the night though in the next two weeks or so as she's due a growth spurt.

potato, in terms of entertaining babies, I am going to take Evelyn to some baby classes - baby sensory and baby massage I think. Quite a few of my friends have babies too, so we will do stuff together with them. I've also got a baby gym mat for the floor.

I'm off to a breastfeeding class today for some hints and tips. The health visitor suggested I get nipple shields to give me nipples a few days to recover. Not sure if anyone else has had them but they aren't very attractive!! They make you look like you have pointy Madonna boobs Grin

Pinklily1 · 21/09/2016 08:31

Don't go prodding around Damson!!

Potato, maybe some box sets to watch while you are feeding Arya?

Co5mo · 21/09/2016 08:33

Damson welcome to the world of worry that is pregnancy Wink

Potato I'm having exactly the problem. I would usually have clothes for my birthday but that's not an option this year. I eventually decided on an inexplicably expensive handbag and a bottle of the equally inexplicably expensive foundation that I had for my wedding a couple of years ago (I've been making that bottle last and it's just running out). DH has also booked us a table at an as yet unnamed restaurant but he's so obvious I know exactly where we're off to.

Mileymoocow · 21/09/2016 09:10

damson I can't help you with cervix positioning, I was a bit of a cervix-phobe so never had the guts to prod mine! I'm sure all is OK but call your epu if you're worried! I did several times just to put my mind at ease

I'm amazed at how quickly my belly has shrank. This is 9 days post-partum. Going to post photos to you ladies for a bit of inspiration to get back to my pre pregnancy weight, I hope you don't mind Blush

Mileymoocow · 21/09/2016 09:15

OK, missed a lot of posts! Don't think my app had updated.

pink wow! That is a bloody good sleep, Evelyn sounds like an angel!

We have a local breastfeeding group in my area and they all meet up for coffee/lunch etc at certain cafés they're made to feel welcome breastfeeding. I'm hoping to join in once OH is away back to work so hopefully Harrison will make some new friends. OHs best friends little girl has just arrived so I have a maternity leave friend in his wife which will be lovely.

Pinklily1 · 21/09/2016 09:19

miley, you look amazing! I've not taken any photos of my belly post birth but it's a good idea for motivation! My stomach has shrunk a lot but its more jiggly than before!!

Co5mo · 21/09/2016 09:28

Wow Miley I do hope I follow in your footsteps.

IndiX · 21/09/2016 09:30

Damson I did the same thing early on. Poked my cervix and then has a tiny bit of light pink CM. Nothing to worry about but if you have any more then phone the EPU. Oh and don't go prodding again!

Miley you look fab!! So glad you've said that's 9 days post partum because I am starting to get a bit obsessive over the weight gain and how much I will lose afterwards.

Bunch I'm sorry you felt down yesterday, hope Atticus is better today and he gets this poo out! Poor little thing must feel so heavy all bunged up. Hope you're feeling better. I also can't believe he's a month old already! Happy 1 month Atticus!

Yay for Evelyn giving you a good sleep pink! Hopefully this sticks for a little while. And happy 2 weeks of being a mummySmile

Pregsomnia was back again last night so I'm a bit tired and grumpy this morning. However I'm 37 weeks today! I have a full term baby the size of a skunk inside meGrin I'm also getting my new car delivered this afternoon so that's exciting. Here's my Bump pic for 37 weeks, really hoping I don't get much bigger now!

Damson9 · 21/09/2016 09:35

What a neat bump! :) I don't look far off that when the bloating gets bad and I'm not quite 8 weeks yet!

I'm not usually much of a poker. I don't know what I was thinking but I figured that it was no different to having sex, which I haven't let him have and certainly won't be now!

Between that and the purchase of some deflatine, I'm hoping for a return to some kind of normality :)

PotatosMum · 21/09/2016 09:35

Bunch hope you're feeling better today.

Pink Arya was exactly the same with her car seat but she got used to it. She still doesn't like it but now she grumbles instead of crying. Do you have a dummy? I do find it helps to soothe her, we use Tommy tippy 0+ ones and they are life savers!

Growth spurts are horrible. Your baby becomes a complete git for a couple of days and there appears to be no reason... And afterwards none of their newborn clothes are baggy anymore Sad

I sound like I'm being awkward now but we already have Netflix and Now TV so I have all the box sets I could ever need. Plus, I'm trying not to watch TV as I need to work Sad

Cosmo lol, glad you managed to think of something for your birthday. You've grown a human, you deserve a treat!
It's times like these I wish I was more girly. I don't even wear makeup 90% of the time Confused

Miley I'm so jealous!!!! I didn't look that good before I had Arya!!! Blush

Indi congrats on being full term! You'll be joining the mummies very soon Grin

Sat listening to Arya get grumpy about farts. Farts apparently annoy her ShockGrin

Newmrs22 · 21/09/2016 10:29

Bunch I felt like that yesterday. Jake and I were sobbing at each other at one point, I think he's having a growth spurt so wants to feed constantly. He seems better today though and I feel much more calm.

Indi I put on about a stone and a half. i need to exercise now to tone up. I might be almost the same weight but I don't look the same! Wobble wobble Grin i look OK in clothes though so that's something. You look great! I was absolutely massive at 37 weeks!

Miley you look incredible!

Potato I'm so impressed you are starting a business and looking after a baby. Super woman!

leoniethelioness · 21/09/2016 10:30

Miley - wow, you look fantastic.

I have a weird overhanging pouch above my caesarean scar. I doubt it will go very quickly. I'm hoping to join Slimming World next week or the week after if I can take the baby along.

DH and I are continuing to sleep separately. I feel utterly miserable. Theo is hard to settle around 10/11 despite being fed and changed. He makes extremely loud sleeping noises throughout the night. He was fed around 9, 10, 11, some time in between (DH bottle-fed him), 5 and 7.30 last night but I can't sleep next to him in between feeds. DH is back to work tomorrow so his support will decrease and I am terrified. I slept in the spare room from 11 until 4.30ish - it's the only way I can sleep. We're now trying to drown him out with Radio 3 overnight... Tell me this gets better!

Hope Atticus is okay, Bunch. Theo goes every day so it'd worry me if he didn't and was upset.

AudreyBradshaw · 21/09/2016 10:40

Most uncomfortable night ever! Anyone who hasn't had their jabs yet, don't do flu jab and WC jab in the same day! Both of my arms are sore as balls, and dead and I feel rubbish! So every time I needed a wee (800 times) it hurt because I couldn't push myself up!

Got my dps dogs and my dsis as of tomorrow for a week. Not looking forward to this at all.

I'm sorry atticus isn't pooing bunch would a warm bath help him? Relax his little muscles and maybe have some bowel movement? Poor little mite!

potato I'm the same with birthdays, I'd rather have money or vouchers. This last birthday I just got a load of maternity stuff!

damson don't poke your cervix 😆 it's doing a job! You should be alright with dtd though, cause willies aren't sharp like nails! Unless your Dh has a proper weird willy!

indi and miley you both look insanely awesome! Miley I'm already so so jealous of your tummy! And yours Indi! You're 6 weeks ahead of me and look fantastic! I'm actually scared of going properly full term/overdue because of what I think those last week's will do to my skin/body! Dh keeps telling, e not to stress that I can be back in the gym after baby's born but I'm like "I think I will be ruined forever! My skin isn't elasticy! I'm already getting stretch marks on my hips!" Argh!

Potato is there anything that would be useful towards your business that would make a good birthday gift? Or anything you wanted for the new house that was perhaps deemed too extravagant? I like practical gifts, but love a good surprise! OH paid for our holiday to Tenerife this year, which I was more than happy with.

Indi you really have a beautiful bump! Mine is still a bit wobbly, but measured dead on for 25 weeks at my midwife appointment yesterday, so that was a relief!

Mylie you look amazing! Are you back in your normal clothes yet? I'm hoping to be back in my favourite jeans by the time I start back at work, so a four month goal!

Co5mo I'm hoping for a ridiculously priced handbag as a push present Blush. It started off as a joke, but I'm not laughing anymore! When is your birthday?

Pink I hope the nipple shields help. Madonna boobs could be fun at some time in your life, but I suspect not so much when you have a hungry infant Grin

Damson at least you realised before seeking help! How're you feeling otherwise?

Bunch Atticus is adorable. I love the latest pictures! Hopefully the poo incident resolves soon, and he becomes more regular. Are you still happy with the reusable nappies, and do they cope well with the eventual poo? I think I've convinced OH that we will be using reusables, as it will be me who changes most nappies and does most of the washing while he's at work.

I'm packing today for my trip home on Friday. I leave tonight for OH's house, have a day in the office tomorrow then overnight at an airport hotel for my early Friday flight. Not sure how I'm going to deal with suitcases on my own on the trains yet!

IndiX · 21/09/2016 11:12

Thanks for your lovely comments.

I'm currently lying in a warm bath experiencing really painful Danny/bum hole daggers. It feels like it's near my cervix area. I've spoken to the midwife and she said to relax and phone them in 2 hours.
Beanie is giving me very strong movements and I'm getting the daggers every few minutes. Has anyone else had these? I'm nervous it's labour but my waters haven't broken and I haven't had a show as such, just heavy discharge the last few weeks.

Sorry for selfish post just I'm trying not to get myself worked up

Pinklily1 · 21/09/2016 11:12

We don't have a dummy potato. I'd like to do without if possible but we'll just see how she goes over the next few weeks.

Evelyn has been feeding for two hours so far this morning Shock The nipple shields are definitely helping me, but we need to go out soon and she is still sucking away. I'm still in my pjs Shock

may, pleased that your midwife appointment went well yesterday. Sorry if you've said this before - where is home? Maybe try and get a train guard or a friendly stranger to help with your cases?

Does anyone know what happens at the six week doctor check up for mummies? Just wondering if they check things like stitch healing or if it's just a chat to make sure all is ok.

Pinklily1 · 21/09/2016 11:12

Also, indi, you look incredible!!

IndiX · 21/09/2016 11:32

I meant heavy discharge the last few days not weeks and FANNY daggers not bloody Danny daggers

BunchOfBobs · 21/09/2016 11:52

Morning all.
Feeling much better today, despite only getting 1 hours kip from 1.30am ShockParents took Atticus this morning and I got another 3 hours woohoo. He's much calmer now and just his usual grunting. I've caved and given him his first dose of lactulose, I know the GP will do nothing until I've at least tried it.

Potato sorry you're feeling down about your birthday. Do you maybe want to go out for a nice meal the three of you?

Miley WOW! I've lost another half kilo so I know the breastfeeding is having an effect.

Pink I'm jealous of your sleep, well don't Evelyn. Had a chat with DH about it whilst I was in the bath. He's mad at me for not sleeping more in the day but spent the rest of the evening giving me lots of hugs. My parents seem to have the magic touch with Atticus. And today so does the boob woohoo. Swimming was half an hour, so cute to watch.

Indi I think you've mixed up Atticus and Arya. Atticus is 6 weeks old now Shock Your bump looks lovely.

Sorry you felt like it too New, glad you're feeling better today.

Leonie sorry to hear that. I can't say it gets any better as Atticus is very noisy but I take comfort in it as I know he's breathing. DH using ear plugs, I panic if I can't hear him.

Stardrey the half hour on Sunday in the toasty pool didn't shift anything. I may try another bath tonight though.

Maya still loving the nappies though nothing would hold in these poonamis.if you get all in ones like bambino miosolos they're as easy as disposables. The Aldi event tomorrow is selling 3 styles for £7.99 each they're usually £16.

Indi it may just be twinges, that can happen a while before anything kicks off. Try to relax and keep us all updated.

Pink I have mine on Friday so I'll let you know.

Anyone else's babies love pulling hair? This boy doesn't stop!!
