Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! This heat can kiss my arse. And who KNEW being so neurotic about which changing mat to buy could be so satisfying and addictive!

Sooo many gorgeous babies now! And equally lovely Mummy's! We are amazing! What a year! Can you believe it's been a year since our first tentative TTC thread!? Look how far we've come!

Roll up, literally, in my case, cause I'm practically rotund! for TTC #1 Grads!

Congrats on the scan marmite! Such a lovely feeling.

Woohoo indi! That's so soon! This time next week you'll be a mummy!

Lillian hope you get spoilt on last day at work. Re baby cinema - yes, volume is slightly lower. They keep lights on though so you can see for feeding etc.

Cosmo - definitely get checked. My waters didn't gush at all and j just though I'd leaked a bit.

Having a bad day - got kidney infection AGAIN. Third in the 3 weeks since baby arrived. Got more antibiotics but these ones are a bit of a last resort as the other ones haven't worked as they're not great for breastfeeding - need to take a tablet and then not feed for 3/4 hours. So I'm going to express as she's too unpredictable with feeds at the moment. If these drugs don't work I need to go to hospital Sad

IndiX · 30/09/2016 22:16

Finally got a chance to catch up.

Still thinking of Lisa! Hope she's enjoying lots of baby cuddles.

Hope you had a great last day Lillian

Soda sorry to hear about your kidney infection, hope these antibiotics work for you. Look after yourselfFlowers

Leonie I'll definitely get some me and DH time in before Wednesday. And great news on the jeans, I'm sure your tummy will get back to normal soon.

I love the photo of Harrison Miley. Glad he is feeding well and you had a nice shopping trip even if you didn't get anything for yourself. I'm like that now, I'm going to be a nightmare once beanie actually arrives!

Marmite did you enjoy Bridget Jones? It did make me emotional at the end when she had the baby Smile

Hope everyone else is doing well. I'm still on cloud 9 from my news this morning and my date changing. I can't believe she'll be here so soon. I MUST do a massive deep clean in the house tomorrow, I've not got much time leftGrin
Hope babies and mummies and preggos get a good sleep x

marmitecheesetoast · 01/10/2016 07:57

Eeek that's so exciting Indi!! Great news!! And yes I loved Bridget Jones (I've read the books so many times) it's Bridget with the addition of the utterly scrumptious Patrick Dempsey, what's not to like?! Wink I did get quite emotional too!

Soda so sorry to hear about your kidney infection, I've been there in the last where I had one that wouldn't clear, it's miserable Flowers fx these antibs work for you

Great news on the jeans Leonie!

I've got a lot of pregnancy news phone calls to make today (the majority of my family and friends are scattered around the country) exciting!

PotatosMum · 01/10/2016 08:30

Miley that photo is adorable.

Indi woohoo on the earlier date. You're nearly there!!!

Leonie I also have the disproportionate belly thing going on Sad hopefully won't last forever!

Soda sorry about the kidney infection. Hope these pills nail it!

Off to town to open a savings account for Arya today. Smile

Mileymoocow · 01/10/2016 08:52

Oh my God that's so exciting indi!!! It's crazy to think that a week today would have been my due date and Harrison will already be almost 4 weeks old. I always imagined us having our babies so close together - I guess they have their own little plans! Enjoy your cleaning session! I had big plans to do one once on maternity leave Hmm

soda I'm sorry to hear you're still suffering. As shit as they areally, I hope these antibiotics work for you.

Well done on the jeans leonie! I'm still in maternity jeans because my normal ones are still a little bit too snug to sit down in Blush

LisaTheSimpson · 01/10/2016 12:05

Mileymoocow · 01/10/2016 16:58

danni I'm not so sure they ever will! I figure this is my life now - having to lock the door and draw the curtains each time I feed incase of unannounced visits! OHs mum has taken 2 weeks off work to 'help me' now OH is back at work. Oh goody Hmm help me with what exactly? I can't exactly pop out anywhere alone or do anything without Harrison unless she has a prosthetic copy of my nipple and some stash of my breast milk.

Danni89 · 01/10/2016 19:23

Tell me about it! Miley
My OHs mum was here for 2 nights last week, more of a nuisance than help! She's back here today but going home soon thank god! Grateful for all the visitors bringing gifts it's just tiring hosting and having the baby passed round all the time

AudreyBradshaw · 01/10/2016 20:05

Can you believe that she will be here in less than a week indi ? That's such awesome news!

miley he's so beautiful. Love all your photos of Harrison. And potato I love your collage of Arya's little face.

I know this had been done many times, but I need to do hospital bag, well, start buyi stuff for it at least...and I'm confused, do I need a long stay/short stay bag or a mum bag + baby bag? What did you take that you actually used? I don't want to pack a load of stuff I'm not going to use. Thanks you guys. I should probably actually sort the baby's room out and perhaps buy a cot Grin

Lost my mojo for a while back there, thanks for listening to me whine and flap everyone, you're all awesome! Flowers

I know what people mean about visitors. We've had 3 lots today and a couple who are still here now. I miss Alexa, I haven't held her all day! Retreated to bedroom to feed her but I really just want a cuddle!

Audrey - key things are hat and blanket for baby plus perhaps 3 bodysuits and babygros and a supply of nappies. Change of clothes for you plus nightwear and toiletries. I took my pregnancy pillow and found it really useful. Lip balm and hair bobble were also useful plus snacks. The thing I didn't pack enough of was maternity pads and disposable pants! I thought I'd packed loads but I ended up sending DH out to a chemist!! Bleeding was ridiculously heavy for a couple of days but got lighter v quickly out of hospital (hardly anything now 3 weeks on). Hope this is useful. No need to overpack really - you can always get extra things if you end up staying longer than you thought. I stayed 1 night and I had a hand luggage size bag which was fine.

marmitecheesetoast · 01/10/2016 21:01

Congratulations on your baby girl arriving Lisa!! Hope you're recovering well and having gorgeous snuggles

Argh sorry, congratulations Lisa! Hope you're recovering well xx

Canters15 · 01/10/2016 22:18

Congrats lisa! Lovely news!

Harrison is so scrummy, miley. Smiling to myself at the idea of your ohs mum taking time off to help- my MIL was fixated on the idea of coming to stay for a couple of weeks for the same reason, and I said exactly the same thing. Thankfully she's backed off now! Are you going to have to see OHs mum and make awkward conversation or will she leave you be?

Well I've had a drama filled couple of days. My pain got worse overnight on Thursday. Friday I was at a training day for work an hour or so from where we live. By the time I got there I could barely walk, my senior colleague who was running the day examined my tummy (so embarrassing!) and I was really tender with a fast heart rate, and I realised baby hadn't moved all morning. So I got taken off to maternity at the nearest hospital. Thankfully all was fine with baby, and nothing too obvious with me, and I felt a bit better after some decent pain relief. My husband had to come and collect me, I vomited profusely once home and have basically slept pretty much constantly since yesterday afternoon. The pain is still there but better then it was, I'm just relieved baby is ok but also feel like a bit of a drama llama! I think I'm going to bring my mat leave forward now, I'm on AL this week but supposed to be back in the week after, but I don't really feel like going back after this....I think I'm going to take it as a sign I need to rest up. Going to buy stuff for the hospital bag this weekend as now worried about him arriving early!

Yay for having your date brought forwards indi! Brilliant news.

Glad you're feeling better about things audrey, good news that your dh will have a start date soon.

IndiX · 02/10/2016 06:09

Bloody pregsomnia has had me up since 4am. I don't think I'm ever going to get a proper night's sleep again!

Canters I'm sorry you've been unwell. Do you think it was a bug or something you'd eaten? Glad everything is fine with baby. Rest up, hope you're feeling better soon.

Forgot to say the other day but great news about DH Audrey!! Glad you're feeling better. And no I can't believe it! Only 3 days to go, it's probably why I can't sleepGrin

Miley/danni I've just started 'booking' visitors in as we live so far away from friends and family so they have to fly up to see us. Already I have 4 full long weekends between mid October- end November. And that's not including friends who are local and will just want to pop inConfused the baby isn't even here yet!
DH's mum left when he was a teen so I don't have to worry about MIL's thank god but I don't know how I'd cope with a MIL hanging around. Good luck ladiesHmm

Saw these is asda for £7 for baby girl's. There's lots of superhero/pumpkin suits too for baby boys. I said I couldn't be bothered with Halloween this year but for 7 quid I'm very tempted!

Indi sorry you have been awake again... one less night till you meet your baby done though!! GrinGrin

Canters definitely sounds like starting ML is what is best for you... time to put yourself first!

Miley I think it was your IG of walking the dog and pushchair... how are you finding it? I still haven't braved both at once but Zane is a total nut job on a walk anyway haha.

Bodhi decided that after the trauma of his photoshoot and lunch with my mum (who just keeps feeding him- yes the boy knows no limits with food and acts like a starving orphan but he does it all the time- she let him have an 8oz snack!!!) that he was going to sleep all afternoon and evening yesterday and be wide awake all night. Finally managed to get him to sleep after his breakfast at 6 then he woke up needing changing at 7 puked up milk all over me and is now back to wide awake. Attached is a guide to how awake that boys eyes have been since about 2am Hmm

Co5mo · 02/10/2016 08:34

Congratulations Lisa. I hope your recovery is better than your labour X

Nev you make me laugh but I know at some point I'll be experiencing the same.

Canters you'll feel lots better for a few days off work. My hips have been so much better since I finished except for yesterday which I'm sure was caused by me steam mopping the kitchen floor

Indi I'm now finding I might as well stay up at night and only go up to bed when I've fallen asleep and woken on the sofa. Sleepless nights are a killer atm and are not helped by MIL letting herself into the house while I'm napping I dread to think what she'll be like when he arrives

Assessment unit weren't interested. Said if I were to leak more fluid to ring back. No repeat and no other signs. Fed up now especially after a bad day with pain yesterday. I keep talking to my bump and telling Baby he can come out now but he's not listening to me. Last trip to the cinema last night..finally hit the ice cream I've been after for days Smile

Nevlet · 02/10/2016 08:55

Lisa so sorry I had totally missed that your little girl is here! Huge congratulations Flowers

PotatosMum · 02/10/2016 09:08

Lisa congrats!!! So happy for you!!! Does LO have a name? Are you sharing pictures?

Miley Harrison is adorable as always Smile

Audrey I had a baby bag and a mummy bag but my hospital is 10 minutes from home so I could have sent OH for more stuff. Mummy bag had 2 nighties, several pairs of paints, mini toiletries (body was etc) maternity pads and large super absorbent sanitary towels, a going home outfit, slippers, towel and phone charger.
Baby bag had a dozen nappies, sensitive nappy wipes, nappy cream, 3x sleep suits and matching baby grows, 2x baby hats, 2x baby blankets, 2x muslins. I may have had other stuff but that's all I used.

Canters sounds like bringing mat leave forward is a wise choice, your body is obviously telling you you need to take it easy! Enjoy the rest, when baby arrives you won't get any for a while Wink

Indi I have the Wonder Woman costume for Arya. OH isn't fussed about Halloween but I can't wait to put her in her little costume. It's also the first time I've lived in a house on a family estate since I was little. I can't wait to get the chocolates in for trick or treaters.

Nev sorry you've had a supercharged baby all night. Hope you managed to get some sleep.

Cosmo I'm surprised the maternity unit wasn't interested. When's your next midwife appointment?

We were out and about yesterday despite the rain. We set up a savings account for Arya and bought all her Christmas presents as there was a 3for2 at mothercare. She's getting a musical piano mat as we're going to get her learning piano as soon as she's old enough and a musical drum toy. They'll be a bit old for her but she seems to be developing really well and we can help her until she can play with them alone. Plus the toys for young babies are all a bit dullConfused

We also got her a grow bag yesterday... OMG they are brilliant! She slept so soundly in it! I'm going to order some second hand ones from eBay today so that we have a selection in case she's sick. I'm starting to think she's been a bit chilly the past week which would explain why she was waking up twice instead of her normal once.

That reminds me Bunch we got a room thermometer thing with the grobag so I don't need one now. Thanks though Smile

What are mummies planning to do with clothes your baby has grown out of? Arya is out of her newborn clothes now but I'm a bit hesitant to pass them on because I'm sappy Wink I might keep one newborn outfit and pass on the rest. Can't believe how big she's getting!!! Sad
