Rhubarb - I've heard sweet cravings mean girl, and salty means boy. I'm sure it's very scientific. Wink

Sussex - I'm sure there will be many instances of preggo rage to come. I had it so bad last time, I just snapped at complete strangers very regularly.

Hummingbird - you are totally within your rights with the cheese puffs!

gemsbok · 02/09/2016 08:57

jpeg - fingers crossed for you, sorry they were so thoughtless. I had a big bright red bleed with clots and all last pregnancy at about 8 weeks, and all was fine :-)

I think I'm going to tell my boss today, we have a 121 meeting, so seems like a good opportunity. I'm strangely nervous though, not sure why. I like it being our little secret!

gemsbok · 02/09/2016 09:00

dandelion - the metal thing is normal - I had it last time more as a taste than a smell, very strange.

everdene · 02/09/2016 09:40

Rhubarb I'm totally with you on the salty foods! The thought of jam or cake makes me feel Confused but I could murder a chip butty!

Had my booking in appointment today which was good!

MumiTravels · 02/09/2016 09:40

I hope my cravings this time are different. It was ice cubes and custard last time. I was anaemic right the way through though and apparently craving ice is related to that. Not sure about the custard though. Bought a couple of packets in just un case though. We have a 4 week holiday this year to countries that don't sell custard so I really hope it's something different.

I'm really enjoying salty crisps too. The pickled onion really hit the spot too.

I had to go to bed at 7pm last night and got up at 9am when DD woke up. I think i needed it. Got a 13 hour shift tomorrow, not sure how I'll cope but we'll see. Especially hard when no one knows so you just look lazy rather than pregnant and tired.

Going for my massage shortly. Seems as I can't drink at this wedding coming up I may as well spend the money I've saved on something else nice Grin.

Need to tell the Bride and Groom though, don't want them to think that I'm just being a party pooper. They are close family. They are also the type of people of people to accuse us of doing it on purpose unfortunately despite it being our second time catching on Microgynon30. It wasn't a planned pregnancy.

Sorry for the essay. DS is like a limpit today and I've snuck in the bath so he's playing with DH. Everytime I leave the room he wails.

MumiTravels · 02/09/2016 09:41

@Rhubarb - I'm having a chip butty for tea as electrician is going to be in the kitchen Grin

msannabella · 02/09/2016 09:49

Hi everyone. I hope it's not too late to join. I'm due 12th April with dc#3. Got a 4 year old and a soon to be 1 year old. Have been lurking for a bit but didnt want to jinx things by joining! Got my booking in appointment today so starting to seem more real. Hope it Ok to join and looking forward to the journey with you all! x

marmitecheesetoast · 02/09/2016 09:52

everdene that's so funny! Don't feel bad about it, it's obviously just what your body needs! I have also been craving loads of protein - eating so much chicken! As well as salty and sour things... I could murder a chip butty now too with loads of salt and vinegar!! Good excuse for your chip butty mumi!

Lol at #bagelgate I think I'd have reacted much the same sussex!

That's lovely sarah how exciting.

I am also missing wine, and Friday night g&ts! Got a good friends wedding next Friday and gutted about not being able to drink fizz. Makes me feel like a bad person so glad it's not just me!

Was really sick this morning. Properly puking as opposed to the usual nausea and dry heaving. Hope it was a one off Hmm

hummingbird100 · 02/09/2016 09:52

Love bagelgate! And reading everyone's food tales make me hungry. As well as the cheese puffs I've had Philadelphia on toast which hit the spot for about 10 minutes and now I'm wanting more cheese puffs!

We have only told my mum so far. My last pregnancy back in April ended up with me housebound with horrendous nausea for a whole month, so everyone ended up finding out - then it was so sad telling everyone when I mc. This time I'm going to wait til the scan (fx I get that far) as I just feel more comfortable keeping it a little secret this time. We're not close to DH's family and he didn't want to tell them yet anyway, MIL is very distant and never really gets in touch and his siblings didn't even send a text or anything after the mc which we're still upset about, especially as DH has always been super supportive if they've needed it.

jpeg28 · 02/09/2016 09:59

Bagel-gate!! So funny... I don't want to eat anything... Just feel constantly horrible today, like my stomach is full of water. Boobs are slightly sore today... Making me feel more positive.

choccybiscuit · 02/09/2016 10:07

sarahthat's so sweet! I wished my family would react like that. My mother's not going to be pleased. I told my dd1 last night she's 19 years old and off to uni in two weeks time, I know she's not a baby but I didn't want her to think I'm replacing her Sad

Strubo · 02/09/2016 10:17

We've told most of our friends now and the kids have told their friends so is basically common knowledge. I've got ultra paranoid that there's something wrong now. I had a scan on Monday at EPU as is had a little bleed and I'm getting a private scan on Sunday (at the last one she could see something that might have been remnants of a second sac so she wants to have a look again, I'm not getting charged for it). Hoping I will feel better once I've heard the heartbeat again. I never felt like this with the other 2, no idea why I'm so worried this time.

jpeg28 · 02/09/2016 10:26

Strubo I'm sure everything will be ok but I also understand the worry and anxiety. You have heard a heartbeat which makes the chance of something going wrong so much less..... I have a private scan Sunday too.

Does anyone know whether at 7+3 it will be internal or external? I have been asked to drink half a pint of water beforehand but usually for internal you empty your bladder.

CastleFeck · 02/09/2016 10:32

JPEG sounds like they're starting with abdominal. If they can't see they'll prob send you for a wee then do an internal one.

I've been sick twice this morning, feeling miserable and ill.

LuchiMangsho · 02/09/2016 10:54

Sunday scan here too at 8+2. External then internal if it is not clear.

MrsRhubarb · 02/09/2016 11:06

Wah, all of your responses have made me ravenous, even though morning nausea hasn't worn off yet. Chip butty sounds AMAZING.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 02/09/2016 11:07

Awful nausea this morning, currently hiding in the loo at work. Blush

We're going to a wedding tomorrow, and staying night in a (posh) hotel whilst PIL look after DS. Our first night alone together since DS was born so should be exciting but struggling to summon much enthusiasm right now.

Celticlassie · 02/09/2016 11:32

naranciata, I was exactly the same. I'm a regular waxed but had to get her to stop yesterday as it was so sore.
I'm still a little concerned about my lack of symptoms. My boobs are a little tender, I'm constipated Blush and I have occasional mind cramping but nothing else. I wish I had a bit more to hang my hat on. Have been reading about MMC and it's really freaked me out.

Number4OnTheWay · 02/09/2016 11:48

Urgh. All this good talk is making ne was to hurl :(
Chat, I haven't booked a booking in yet....not quite sure what I'm waiting for, I just don't want it to all be over yet I guess Blush I'm positive I haven't miscarried, but it's so scary I'd rather stay in my bubble for a little while longer!!

MumiTravels · 02/09/2016 12:11

Didn't realise a massage is meant to make you feel poorly. I've got a banging headache and feel really dizzy.

Sorry for all you feeling sicky today Flowers

Still not booked for my booking in yet. Going to wait till Monday to call as I'll be 7 weeks and I think that's a fair stage to getc the ball rolling.

I feel rotten again, we're driving home now from holiday...still another 2 hours in the car feeling sick and tired! Think DH is proper bored of my moaning now :/

jpeg28 · 02/09/2016 12:50

I feel horrendous too. Sad been walking around town trying to get new stuff for work for 2 hours and I've had to sit down I'm so exhausted!! Also had to go up a size in trousers.... I've not put any weight on the scales but I think the lack of exercise has made me fatter!

Number4OnTheWay · 02/09/2016 13:07

Ok, so was driving in the car and the message was meant to say, all this talk of food is making me want to hurl!!

jobrum · 02/09/2016 13:11

bubbins I will join you in the feeling sick at work club. Quietly being sick in the disabled loo. I've had to tell another colleague as its just us in but she's a friend too so not bad. I've nearly ran out of food too so might have to sneak into the visitor biscuits.

Apart from the sickness I have no other symptoms. My nipples are slightly more sensitive but I am bfing a toddler. My farts have vanished again Blush I'm like the opposite to all those with lots of wind, during pregnancy I have no farts. Mysterious!
