Yes I would call the number as well. Also when is your booking in appointment? At most London hospitals I thought the booking in was first and then the scan?

Puggleface · 19/09/2016 08:20

Jaffa you probably won't see this now but I'm so sorry for your loss. Sending you all good wishes Flowers

choccybiscuit · 19/09/2016 08:22

I'm in London, I self referred and then got an appointment for a booking in appointment for 10 weeks and then they booked my scan while I was there. I'll be 12+6 then. I'd give them a call, it maybe your letter got lost in the post or something simple like that.

ScandiManny · 19/09/2016 08:51

Dandelion I was given my NT scan date for 10+6. I rang to say it'd be too early but based on my LMP rather than ovulation dates that date made me 12 weeks so they said to stick to it. I went along and my dates from ov were confirmed correct at 10+6 so I'm going back Wednesday for NT measurement. I'd try and change it if you can but don't worry if you can't, I'll be rebooked.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 19/09/2016 09:39

Dandelion being a teacher I guess it's especially tricky to get time off for appointments so if you're certain about your dates I'd phone and see if you can get the scan pushed back. Otherwise you'll just end up having to go in twice.

Nausea is definitely back here - didn't keep my dinner down last night and woke up this morning feeling atrocious.

Also can't do the button of my jeans up now! Can't wait to bust out my maternity stuff.

ChatEnOeuf · 19/09/2016 09:51

My booking appt has arrived, and it clashes with my 12w scan. Waiting on a call back...

09:50 isn't too early for pasta, is it?

everdene · 19/09/2016 10:26

So sorry for your loss Jaffa. Look after yourself and I hope you're able to rest. FlowersFlowers

MumiTravels · 19/09/2016 10:29

Morning ladies. Well after a weekend in work I have my DS back and he is the child from hell today. He's cried all morning. He wants to watch TV because he has been at MILs but we wanted to play with him so he wailed. We won't let him have his dummy but he's asking for it which he nevers does so I'm guessing he's had that too over the weekend. I've had to put him back to bed. He's normally such a pleasant boy too. DH only day off with him until Friday too. Hopefully he wakes up in a better mood.

One of my patients outed me yesterday. I was washing her and she told me to be careful and started talking about babies. I told her not to tell anyone and she didn't mention it again. I must be more tubby than I thought Grin If she's noticed then I'm guessing other people have.

marmitecheesetoast · 19/09/2016 10:45

Fell off the thread for a bit, been really struggling with exhaustion and sickeness. Work is incredibly busy at the moment so I'm like a zombie every evening and spending the weekends napping and not much else. Feeling pretty fed up of it now. Just past 10 weeks now and really hoping an end to the sickness and nausea at least might be in sight.

So sorry to hear Jaffas sad news. I know you probably won't see this but be gentle with yourself Flowers

Chatenouef definitely not too early for pasta! Grin hope you manage to get the clash sorted out

I still can't get enough of apples and apple juice. Also had a really strong urge for cauliflower cheese yesterday afternoon which went down a treat. Starting to feel fat which is bugging me, have put on three pounds! I guess mainly from eating a sandwich and crisps for lunch every day instead of a low carb salad and constant snacking on crackers to keep the nausea at bay Hmm

Cazbg · 19/09/2016 13:33

Really sorry to hear your sad news, Jaffa. X

StillaChocoholic · 19/09/2016 14:37

Just checking in, think it's been a while since I last posted.

I'm 12 weeks today and started to feel much more human towards the end of last week. Definitely feeling more human today, I sorted sons room out which is way more than I've been able to do these past weeks.
I've got my scan on Wednesday and I can't wait.

LotsaTuddles · 19/09/2016 14:49

Why?!?!?! Why can toddlers be happy playing by themselves for ages then the second I have to be sick they want me to get everything and anything

Celen · 19/09/2016 15:30

Hey ladies, it's been a while since I posted. I've been utterly sicky and exhausted which hasn't eased up at all and it's leaving me no energy for anything Sad I've also had bad news about a close friend (breast cancer) and my dad (advanced prostate cancer) so not got a lot emotionally to give at the moment.

So sorry Jaffa, what a heartbreaking blow. Big hugs to you xx

I'm 12+1 and also have my scan on Wednesday. As I said, am still feeling sicky and tired, am already in maternity jeans as I have a big tummy which is getting really hard to hide now & weird sensitive skin. So glad not to have to keep quiet for much longer & hope symptoms ease away soon.

I've just tried to catch up with the newbies also ( Welcome !!) and here is what I think is the current list. If there's anyone missing or you want info changing, let me know and I'll amend it for the main list when I create the new thread Smile

Jaffa Really sorry about whats happened. Flowers Look after yourself. x

I have my 12 week scan tomorrow. And I'm feeling so nervous. I've had constant sickness which doesn't look like it's going to come to a stop any time soon yet I keep feeling helpless about tomorrows scan and worrying if it's bad news. I've been really positive but being so unwell has meant sickness is all I've been worried about. I can tell I won't be able to sleep tonight Sad

Dandelionrarrrr · 19/09/2016 16:53

I phoned the lady laughed and said who booked you in then! She said don't come because I would've had to come back and booked me in for when I'm 12 weeks. It's at 4 so is doable for me with work. Next step is to phone up midwives regarding my booking in app. Rrrr can't be bothered to be chasing.

ChatEnOeuf · 19/09/2016 17:21

I've had a productive day from the sofa.
MW appt is now the day before the scan, so at least I'll have some notes to take!
GP trainer called me back to thank me for raising last week's issue and to apologise again - lovely chap.
DD's birthday party is all organised and paid for
We have a new mortgage.

I might be ready to join that list now, Celen. This will be DC3 (sixth pregnancy), EDD around 14th April (though I'm sure that will be changed at scan). Deep breath.

choccybiscuit · 19/09/2016 17:23

celen sorry to hear about your dad and friend Flowers

naranciata · 19/09/2016 17:45

Has anyone else fainted? I totally passed out in the train station this morning. One minute felt dizzy, next my vision started blurring and closing in, then two colleagues (who were luckily getting the same train) were holding me up and had luckily managed to catch me before I fell to the ground. Five minutes later I was totally fine. So weird. I'd had breakfast and done everything as normal.

abercorn · 19/09/2016 18:04

Jaffa, sorry for the news and my thoughts are with you.

MrsRhubarb · 19/09/2016 18:09

I haven't fainted Naranciata but I almost did this moring. I'd just brought the washing basket from our room to the landing and all of a sudden I got so dizzy and everything sort of went black though I was still aware of what was going on. Luckily DH was on hand to help me down to the floor safely, but I lay there for what felt like ages before everything stopped spinning and I felt safe enough to get up. That must have been so scary for you in such a public space.

I'm generally feeling rotten, and went back to bed in the end. Booking in is tomorrow, at long last!

SharkBastard · 19/09/2016 18:58

Not fainted but I've been close a few times. Was at work and wobbled but managed to steady myself!

I was driving to work around 11 days past ovulation and had a terrifying moment of nearly passing out! It's really horrible

Theknittinggorilla · 19/09/2016 19:06

I've been close to fainting a couple of times too - my blood pressure is low so feel really lightheaded when I stand up.

Has anyone had dodgy tum/diarrhoea? I've had it sporadically for about a week now. I also seem to be getting ligament pain around my groin already - surely not at 9+2!

Have my serenity scan on Saturday, can't wait. Am sure my boss was eying my stomach suspiciously today. If all is well on sat im going to fess up as my nhs scan isn't for another 3 and a bit weeks! I want to be able to wear more than my current choice of three stomach hiding outfits for a start!

Celen · 19/09/2016 19:07

Thanks choccy 😘
