Thanks Sussex twelve weeks is like a magical point in my head where all this sickness will magically vanish. I just keep holiding onto that thought!

I was having a browse of the local private ultrasound place, and I could not believe some of the prices they charge! £139.99 to know your cervical length measurement? Seriously?

jpeg28 · 15/09/2016 19:33

Great news about everyone's scans and appointments!

Chat I agree that you should definitely say something, even just so the GP can learn for next time!! How insensitive!!

niks try baby bond for your private scan, that's who mine was with and the Mw recommended it. Hope the cramps and spotting stop soon!

Sussex that's amazing you have no more sickness!! Cannot wait till this nausea is gone!

I managed an 11 hour work day today and then somehow had some energy to clean the bedroom change the sheets and clean the bathroom... I'm now slumped on the sofa feeling rubbish again! Had an ice lolly for dinner!

I've put on a few pounds mainly because I'm eating so many more carbs and not doing enough exercise!! I would really like to be healthier but it's so hard when all you want is pasta!!

ScandiManny · 15/09/2016 20:34

Brilliant news about all the scans Grin

12 weeks today and I've given in to maternity jeans today. My normal jeans don't do up Blush Managed to get 2 pairs from the clearance section on Next's website half price. They're SO comfortable. I'm actually wearing a size smaller than my usual size and I weighed in at slimming world yesterday and I'm still at target so assuming it's actually the start of a bump now, baby 3 so quite possible my non exesitent stomach muscles play a part in it poking out so soon, I do also have a fibroid so guessing that might contribute too! Either way I'm just glad to be somewhat more comfortable Grin

Jaffacakes1234 · 15/09/2016 20:48

Glad everything is ok luchi have been thinking about you!

abercorn · 15/09/2016 22:21

Congratulations with the scans lovely ladies!
I can feel my tummy little bit proding out, but hopefully it goes unnoticed at work for few more weeks.
Good luck for the next set of scans. I am 8 weeks tdy. I have first apointment with MW early october but no idea on the scan date. Shd i be worried?

abeandhalo · 16/09/2016 09:20

Agree jpeg, no idea whether my bump is showing or just the fact that all I've eaten for 3 weeks is digestives, spaghetti and toast! I've eaten more white bread in the last 2 months than I've eaten in the previous year I think!

summerskittles91 · 16/09/2016 10:09

abeandhalo I can't even keep fruit down so healthy eating has gone straight out the window. Currently at work snacking on crisps. Been having 2 packets a day Blush

Yes to spaghetti and pasta and! Mmm!

MrsBac83 · 16/09/2016 10:26

My shape is definitely changing but I think, again, its more carbs than bump! Going to hate that period when not everyone knows and you just kinda look more fat than pregnant! Trying to resist the urge to buy maternity clothes until after the scan as I just can't shake that something will be wrong. Seems a common theme amongst us.

MrsBac83 · 16/09/2016 10:27

Oh can someone add me to the list please?

Due 15th April. First baby Smile

Celticlassie · 16/09/2016 11:12

Had a scan yesterday and was measuring 9 weeks exactly. So glad to see a wee heartbeat as I feel this makes things more real. Have told a couple more people now, but waiting till official 12 week one to make it official.

RaRa25 · 16/09/2016 14:35

Great news on all the scans.
I'm just on a coach coming back from a residential school trip. A whole week with 90 kids, I am knackered!
Got my 12 week scan on the 10th October, seems so far away.

jpeg28 · 16/09/2016 17:08

Rara you must be shattered!!!

My 12 week scan is the 6th October... So far away!

Got this message from my cousin today saying congrats... Turns out my dad (who was sworn) to secrecy has told half our family!! My OH is livid! I know it's just because my dad is excited but still!!

More unhealthy eating today... Think it's takeaway time tonight! I had a photo with my form group today... I look fat and spotty I know it!!

MrsRhubarb · 16/09/2016 18:18

Visit to DDs future nursery went well. She froze as we walked in and wouldn't look at anyone, but soon warmed up though turned away if anyone spoke to her, but by the time we had to leave she didn't want to put her coat on. I think the noise and all the other children just stunned her initially. It seems a lovely place, and I'm very happy for her to go there. It's also only a five minute walk which will be handy for when I am massively pregnant!

FINALLY got my scan date through, WOOHOO! It's on the 29th of September, which although feels like forever away still, I will be 12+4 so hopefully they'll get all the nuchal measurements okay. And they'll probably move my EDD back anyway like they did with DD and I will have to be 11 weeks pregnant all over again.

SharkBastard · 16/09/2016 18:56

No scan date yet but attending the hospital for bloods and in depth booking in appointment. Have my green notes so have filled in the questions. Think they'll book a scan next Friday for me for when I'm 12 weeks...all change from when I had DD!

Daisy111 · 16/09/2016 20:04

I have dragged myself out for supper with DH- so tired I could just sleep for a week, but telling myself we won't be able to have impromptu nights out come April!

Happy weekend all.

Theknittinggorilla · 16/09/2016 21:17

Oh I am feeling really fed up tonight. I'm very excited about having a baby and very pleased to be pregnant but this nausea is just horrendous. I was getting a couple of hours mid morning where I felt vaguely human but even that's gone now. I constantly feel like I am about to vomit, but never actually do. It's torturous. Sorry for the whinge but feeling very sorry for myself. And nobody knows so I can't complain, and my husband just doesn't understand how bad it actually is! Am hoping it ends sooner than last time, not sure I can survive six months of this.

Finally got my scan date, 13th October so miles away, but have serenity booked for a week on sat. jenny - I had to move the original date, was very easy to put it back a day as I have a work conference.

Sorry for the self indulgent post, tough day today. Sending hugs to all those suffering at the moment.

MumiTravels · 16/09/2016 21:19

13 hours down. 26 to go.

Roll on Monday.

I'm so tired and all I want to do is eat crisps.

SussexTeacher · 16/09/2016 21:33

All I eat for about a week was croissants and salt n vinegar crisps!

I didn't think the nausea would get better but it is slowly getting much better. Hang on in there!

MumiTravels · 16/09/2016 21:40

I had quavers for breakfast and doritos and cocopops for tea Blush

abeandhalo · 16/09/2016 21:48

Really feel for you KnittingGorilla, I was v down after 7 weeks of constantly feeling like I could be sick at any moment if I wanted to be, then sudddenly Week 11 it seems to have gone away. I'm Day 4 of feeling normal and I'm buzzing on not feeling sick!

Theknittinggorilla · 16/09/2016 22:07

Thanks all. I'm 9 weeks tomorrow so hopefully will start to ease off soon. I'd forgotten how awful it is.

Daisy111 · 16/09/2016 23:18

Same for me - sickness disappeared at 9 weeks. It's back a little bit now, but I feel 80%. Hope it clears up soon for those suffering.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 17/09/2016 01:44

I'm 9 and 1/2 weeks (ooo-err!) and my nausea has just started to ease a little in the last couple of days - still getting waves of feeling bad but the spirit-crushing permanent sickness isn't there. Hope that is the worst of it over, it has been a tough few weeks!

Had about 3hrs sleep last night (combo of insomnia and DS waking for the day at 5am just as I was getting back to sleep), followed by intense day at work. Crashed out as soon as DS was in bed - DH tried to wake me for dinner and I was hanging on to the duvet crying "Nooo! Nooo!", channelling my inner-toddler. He left me to sleep in the end, sensible man!

SharkBastard · 17/09/2016 07:09

Knitting I'm a day behind you (8+6 today) and I feel exactly like you. Well actually I just puked a fair bit just now! Mainly bile.

I heave and gag a lot then just bring up a little. It's just so horrible isn't it? Nothing makes it better or eases it! Roll on no sickness time

Niks2026 · 17/09/2016 08:04

Sorry to see lots of you are suffering with sickness. I have the nausea and heaving but no actual being sick. It makes finding something to eat impossible without your stomach churning. I'm hoping this completely goes over the next 3 weeks and I can start enjoying being pregnant!!
My mornings been lovely so far....woken up by my 3 year old who wet the bed and then my 6 year old has an upset tummy and seems to have a bug!! Confused
