I don't know what I'm doing but seen the message saying another thread was needed. I don't know what to add to this but though.

Erm. I'm Derek btw. 35 week on Thursday and due 6/10/16

Sorry but I have no idea what I'm doing 😂

know the feeling - bluergh! hows everyone ?

Afreshstartplease · 14/10/2016 07:47

Awake most of the night

Roughly 1-530 then dd up at 7

More show, lots of cramps. Not much now but so so tired

LillianFullStop · 14/10/2016 09:22

Awake from 12.30-2.30 with quite painful and sharp cramps and tightening. I'm calling them contractions as I've never had period cramps this painful! They were about 10-15m apart but lo and behold they stopped eventually and I fell asleep expecting to be woken up with full blown labour. But woke up this morning with nothing again!

Is this start stop labour? It is very frustrating!

They seem to have ramped up from Wed eve's cramps - although they were also about 10-15m apart that was more like BH followed by cramping.

Afreshstartplease · 14/10/2016 09:35

Sounds like it Lillian I had this with my first two

I'm so sick of thinking is this it?
Also sick of being kept awake for fuck all!

Babies movements are getting painful now even though he's apparently only average sized

ThinkOfAWittyNameLater · 14/10/2016 10:47

I had a beautiful dream last night that I wasn't pregnant anymore. Woke up still prego. Am sulking.

How is everyone today?

Afreshstartplease · 14/10/2016 11:37

Tired and pissed off

Still have cramps
Still have fanny daggers
Still pregnant

LillianFullStop · 14/10/2016 11:39

How many nights did it go on for before turning into real labour fresh? I don't think I could keep doing this every night!!!

think feeling very tired today after being kept awake half the night with false labour/stop start labour/latent phase labour whatever the f they call it

Afreshstartplease · 14/10/2016 12:06

Three days with the first and a week with the second ....

TeaGirl3 · 14/10/2016 12:08

Fed up now! I've loved the three weeks off so far, but I'm getting bored of waiting now! 39+4 and nothing so far, other than the odd uncomfortable few hours on a random day. Baby is still moving lots, I have daggers and pelvic pain that strikes whenever it feels like it, and I'm waking up through the night for loo trips or to roll over. I just want something to start happening now!

Garlickylicky · 14/10/2016 12:25

Hello! Late joiner to this but I'm 40+3 today and getting so impatient! I feel like I'll never have a baby - I'm just destined to spend the rest of my life being uncomfortable and sickly and sitting on my arse watching tipping point all day.
Is anyone else getting sick of the constant texts from friends and family asking if you've had it yet?? I don't know what they expect... either I'll be in labour so I won't reply, or I will have had the baby and let them know already! I know I'm lucky to have people who care so much, but it's a bit draining and depressing having to explain every single day to the same people that there is STILL no baby!
Ok rant over - good luck to everyone and fingers crossed for some arrivals soon, especially for those who are putting up with the constant on and off symptoms. Cake

LillianFullStop · 14/10/2016 13:56

Omg fresh I can handle 3 days but 1 week!?

teagirl I've done 2 weeks of leave now and had nothing really planned this week expecting to go into labour - I should have just made plans! I can see how you would be so fed up after 3 weeks though Confused*

garlicky* same I've been getting texts and messages this week...

Afreshstartplease · 14/10/2016 15:25

I finished work about six weeks ago due to spd

I'm not going insane

I am insane

derryjojo · 14/10/2016 15:59

I finished work 2 weeks ago, with 2 weeks until my due date and I'm loving sitting around drinking tea and watching daytime tv.

It's my birthday tomorrow, and it's probably wishful thinking but I think we might share a birthday. Grin

Afreshstartplease · 14/10/2016 17:07

Mild contractions all day now about 10 min apart ....

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 14/10/2016 17:18

Sounds promising fresh!

Midwife this morning - 3/5 engaged, and just waiting now. Walked around town earlier and have had lots of on/off cramps, but not regular yet. I really hope this baby decides to make a break for it soon!

LillianFullStop · 14/10/2016 17:27

Hopefully this is it fresh!!!

Afreshstartplease · 14/10/2016 17:45

Fingers crossed

Kariana · 14/10/2016 18:04

Taffeta nights are torturous aren't they! My back muscles are on fire from the constant sitting in the same position and now my hand where the cannula was seems to have joined the pain party and I can't flex my wrist fully. Added to that the midwife told me my abdominal muscles have well and truly split so the physio has warned me not to use them at all. It's making breastfeeding a nightmare, not to mention getting in and out of bed impossible without help. Dh and I slept in shifts last night just to get through because ds is apparently an owl and won't be put down when awake or unless in an extremely deep sleep.

On the plus side days are ok, ds sleeps for hours in the day once we get him to go down in the moses and we get to catch up on ours. Plus he is adorable so that makes up for a lot Grin. I have managed a poo with minimal trauma (sorry tmi!) We even went out yesterday, just to Mothercare for some smaller babygros as ds fits into the 'tiny baby' size better as he is so small and I'd only bought one of that size previously on the off chance he was born early as I thought he was going to be a big baby! I survived the trip with only a bit of pain (ds slept right through). He's definitely an easy day baby.

Really interesting about your stitches Taffeta, that sounds very fancy. Apparently mine are internal and will dissolve so don't need to be removed. My dressing gets either removed or changed tomorrow though which I'm not looking forward to., I've developed a super sensitive patch of skin which when touched tickles deep down almost to the point of pain, it's a bit like an intense 'fingernails on a blackboard' type of sensation. Not sure if that's normal? I'm hoping it will get back to normal soon!

I hope everyone who is still waiting gets some movement soon (although are you all sure you don't want to just get a bit more sleep first? Grin)

Dizzy08 · 14/10/2016 19:28

How you gettting on Fresh? Good
Luck!

It'd be ok if we were getting sleep kariana but think I might get more sleep with him outside rather than inside! - though sounds like you're in a fair bit of discomfort. Hope things get better with your abdominal soon.

Happy birthday for tomorrow derry

Dizzy08 · 14/10/2016 19:33

Garlicky I feel the same about the constant texts/calls. It is lovely that people care but it just makes the waiting so much worse.

Kariana · 14/10/2016 20:29

That's true Dizzy. I was lucky with my sleep before the birth. It's hitting poor dh hard, he only has to drop an hour a night to feel very ill so this is really affecting him.

Honestly despite my huge moan I am glad ds has arrived safely and of course he is worth every second!

Afreshstartplease · 14/10/2016 20:56

Do seem to be getting closer together but not sure if getting stronger

Bit worried my pain threshold might be a bit high and I might decide to go hospital too late lol

LillianFullStop · 14/10/2016 22:27

Exciting fresh! how far is the hospital?

Hope you get over the worst of it soon kariana - good work making it out to mothercare!

Happy birthday for tomorrow derry and fingers crossed you share a birthday!

Wonder if I'll get night time teaser contractions again tonight ...

Afreshstartplease · 14/10/2016 22:50

20-45 mins depending on traffic ....

Any contractions yet Lillian?

DerekSprechenZeDick · 14/10/2016 23:10

Just popping in to see how you all are.

Drink raspberry leaf and bounce on a ball. Works eventually 😂
