I don't know what I'm doing but seen the message saying another thread was needed. I don't know what to add to this but though.

Erm. I'm Derek btw. 35 week on Thursday and due 6/10/16

Sorry but I have no idea what I'm doing 😂

Congrats Angharad! And anyone else with newborns I've missed.

I've been having on/off cramps for days now, but this evening they're all in my back - I'm hoping this is the start of labour as I'm so sick of being pregnant! I haven't lost my plug or anything though, so I'm not too hopeful.

Sorry everyone is suffering - I suppose we're all nearly there now, though I hate it when people say this to me!

TaffetaMuttonfudge · 12/10/2016 21:48

Kariana, this is my second section and I admit I have struggled today but that's because I am daft and don't listen and do too much. Pillows are your friend, and keep up with the drugs religiously. I'm on max strength Ibuprofen and codydramol, and after an hour of taking I feel better. Have a bath if your dressing is waterproof, it is so relaxing. Tomorrow should be better, but just take it easy. And when you do go for your first poo, take a pillow to hold against your stomach (and a wooden spoon to bite down on!).

Congratulations to all who have had their little ones, and am sending eviction-style thoughts to those who are still waiting. They are so worth the wait, even when they do poo all over you during a mistimed nappy change.....

Kariana · 13/10/2016 00:41

Congratulation Angharad.

I have ibuprofen, paracetamol and codeine tablets. The pain has been more manageable today but I'm dreading the first poo! Finding it difficult to sleep as well. I've slept two nights propped upright with pillows which isn't great for getting a good rest, plus my back is now very sore from being in that position. How are you managing Taffeta?

LillianFullStop · 13/10/2016 08:06

Hope it gets better for you soon kariana !

Had near constant BH and painful cramps in the middle of the night for a couple of hours ... and now nothing again. WTF it's like my uterus is playing tricks on me!

Dizzy08 · 13/10/2016 08:12

Congrats to all the new mums!

C-section recovery sounds very painful (not to say I'm sure vaginal birth isn't of course) Hope you are all doing ok. I would imagine that by looking at your little ones you can take comfort thait was all worth while, but I wish you all a speedy recovery.

Figgygal · 13/10/2016 08:37

Mucus plug is well and truly on its way out - its disgusting isn't it Grin

Afreshstartplease · 13/10/2016 08:53

I'm having more bloody show. No plug or cramps though

Nickname1980 · 13/10/2016 09:01

I was having the odd cramp and backache last night and thought "this is it!" But nothing this morning. I'm not quite finished with all my prep so could do with an extra few days! But the not knowing when is so strange, isn't it?

If your plug has gone you must be close, figgy and fresh!

Congrualtions to all those who have their babies!!!

LillianFullStop · 13/10/2016 09:24

Figgy and fresh, agree with nickname you both sounds very close!

Afreshstartplease · 13/10/2016 09:39

I've not lost my plug. But I never did in previous pregnancies either. Never had any bloody show until this time either. Had show for three consecutive evenings last weekend and then nothing til this morning.

Afreshstartplease · 13/10/2016 09:40

Congrats angharad Flowers

Figgygal · 13/10/2016 09:47

My back is definitely tight and struggle to bend over today feel like if I did a squat he would literally fall out. If nothing happens I know I'll be induced Sunday so it is just a waiting game either way Smile

Afreshstartplease · 13/10/2016 09:51

I might just try and push mine out if he doesn't come of his own accord .....

Afreshstartplease · 13/10/2016 11:47

The daggers have really stepped up a gear, every step is agony...

LillianFullStop · 13/10/2016 12:09

The daggers got me last night too - took forever to get from the kitchen to the living room.

And just now burst into tears over nothing. WTF. Will I ever be normal again??

Afreshstartplease · 13/10/2016 12:12

I was hormonal at the weekend

I didn't cry but I bloody wanted too

I'm like sliding around the house because it's too painful to walk like a normal person

derryjojo · 13/10/2016 14:57

I'm an emotional wreck too. Last night I burst into tears over the bake off.

Afreshstartplease · 13/10/2016 15:39

Anyone else just massively fed up and Cba doing anything?

LillianFullStop · 13/10/2016 16:02

Me.

All my energy is taken up by this thing called waiting and I can't manage very much else!

TaffetaMuttonfudge · 13/10/2016 16:05

Kariana the nights are the worst. I use a combination of pillows and failing that the sofa. I feel really windy today, which is causing everything to bloat and be uncomfortable but the scar is less burny today and is starting to itch. How is yours stitched? Mine has wire with beads and they just snip the bead off the end and pull the wire - that's happening Sunday... Confused

Dizzy08 · 13/10/2016 18:27

Lillian/fresh I know exactly what you mean... I've felt unable to do anything since my due date on Saturday because I was waiting and it was exhausting. Then I got mad with myself that I was just sitting around again this morning and I've gone on a bit of a tidying frenzy today with the bedroom and kitchen in the hope that it would get him shifted... I'll probably regret it tonight when I can't sleep because the SPD and hip pain is worse due to being so energetic today!..

Afreshstartplease · 13/10/2016 18:39

I've not even reached my due date
I know I'm being silly

Plus side just had more show

Having cramps but only if I sit/lie

Figgygal · 13/10/2016 21:01

No sign of anything happening here just more plug loss!!

Oh welll the apprentice is on

Afreshstartplease · 13/10/2016 21:03

The girls on the apprentice pissed me off last week with how dim they acted

I've had more bloody show still and a loose toilet trip

Still cramping but only when I'm not moving so not hopeful

Dizzy08 · 14/10/2016 04:51

Awake... since 2.30
