I don't know what I'm doing but seen the message saying another thread was needed. I don't know what to add to this but though.

Erm. I'm Derek btw. 35 week on Thursday and due 6/10/16

Sorry but I have no idea what I'm doing 😂

It was just the front, they fuck off when I move about so obv nothing exciting

DerekSprechenZeDick · 27/09/2016 12:44

I have a lot of movement low down today. Hoping that's a good sign

I have the mw later and the thought of walking there is painful

Bloody fanny daggers had better actually be doing something

derryjojo · 27/09/2016 13:10

Had to go to the see the mw this morning because of a reduction of movement. Heartbeat was fine, but baby still wasn't moving. I've been drinking and eating everything sweet and had a bit of movement since. I've to go to the hospital later on if the movements don't become more regular.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 27/09/2016 13:37

Sprite makes this one move. Fizziest pop eve r

Suddenly feeling really dizzy, headachey and sick today. Anyone else had this? (36 weeks)

Kariana · 27/09/2016 16:29

HELP! The last couple of days the baby has basically wedged himself at the front of my stomach and is stretching the skin around my belly button to breaking point. It's sore and very itchy and I have what is basically a giant, hard lump of baby sticking visibly out at the front. How on earth can I encourage him to move backwards or sideways or anywhere, as long as he gets away from there? I cannot cope with the tenderness and pain and constant itchiness that this is causing any longer. I also feel like everytime I bump or press my stomach he must be really feeling it because there is literally no padding around him it's my skin and then a hard line of spine and skull Sad

DerekSprechenZeDick · 27/09/2016 16:31

Can you lie on your side for a while
And see if he shifts?

Mine does that now and again and even tops against my belly button hurt

DerekSprechenZeDick · 27/09/2016 16:32

Nick how are your eyes?

OP posts:
Nickname1980 · 27/09/2016 16:32

kariana Oh no poor you! I heard something about frozen peas for turning babies... So might apply? I don't know if it's true or would work. Apparently, they don't like cold stuff stuff, so you could put some frozen peas over the lump at the front of your stomach??? Maybe baby would decide to tuck back in instead of getting a colder bum?!

Nickname1980 · 27/09/2016 16:33

My eyes are ok, but I do wear glasses for distance, which are now more or less worn permanently!

Eek could these things be linked?

DerekSprechenZeDick · 27/09/2016 16:39

No if you see lights too it's pre eclampsia. Ring maternity and tell them your symptoms.

OP posts:
Nickname1980 · 27/09/2016 16:42

Eek I will call them, derek! I actually have a blood pressure monitor at home. Does it have to be high to be pre eclampsia?

DerekSprechenZeDick · 27/09/2016 16:43

Yes, that's the main sign I believe

I had it with first born so know what to look out for. Give them a ring and see what they say

Nickname1980 · 27/09/2016 16:47

I will ring now, thank you, derek!!

DerekSprechenZeDick · 27/09/2016 16:55

Let me know how it goes. I'm on the exercise ball

How's things??

Kariana · 27/09/2016 19:08

Fresh I've tried the side lying and he shifted a little bit, it provided temporary relief but then he went back the moment I got up. Had to get up as my rib cage is very sore on both sides from the pressure of lying on it all night with such a weight!

Nickname I'm about to try your suggestion of something cold, I have no peas but frozen spinach might work or even a bag of crushed I've. If nothing else the cold will probably soothe the itching so I'm glad you suggested it as I hadn't even thought about that aspect!

Northernlight22 · 27/09/2016 19:18

Sorry - haven't had chance to report back on anything 🙈

My waters broke before my contractions started, so went into hospital to get that checked. (I'd only just got up!)

Contractions kicked in whilst in hospital (was admitted because was preterm at 36 weeks) and got progressively stronger.

The whole thing from waters breaking to him arriving was less than 12 hours; can't tell you an exact labour time as not clear when I went into "active" labour but my notes say 8hrs 45 mins from first contractions to delivery.

I also ended up delivering with no pain relief (not planned that way! Things just moved quickly and it would appear I have a high pain threshold - who knew!)

Afreshstartplease · 27/09/2016 19:20

I'm now being sent for a scan later this week as have dropped from 95th/90th percentile to the 50th ....

Nickname1980 · 27/09/2016 19:22

Derek - great advice! I rang the hospital (it's almost over the road from my house!) went in and they did blood pressure / wee checks. All is good, but they told me to watch out and come in if I ever feel a bit weird like that again.

Phew!

Oh wow northern! Are you all home now? Or did you have to stay in for a bit since you were 36 weeks? I bet that came as a surprise!

I hope the frozen stuff works, kariana! Let us know. I've been wondering if that theory of moving babies would work!

DerekSprechenZeDick · 27/09/2016 19:35

Any flashing lights in your eyes then head straight down.

fresh I'm still waiting for a scan due to a drop. Try not
To worry.

Afreshstartplease · 27/09/2016 19:39

What was your drop in percentiles if you don't mind me asking Derek?

DerekSprechenZeDick · 27/09/2016 19:43

This chart reads at 50th to 10th.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 27/09/2016 19:44

Easier to read, I don't understand centiles Blush
