Starting a fresh new thread for us!

I think Fedup asked about Elderberries and if anyone had heard from her... I haven't seen her name pop up in a while, but I'm not on the FB group either. I've been wondering the same about almondbutter, haven't seen her on here for a while now and know she was really suffering with sickness.

I'm also suffering now so at least we have (terrible) company! I've had constant abdominal pains for around a week now, which feel as though my cervix/lower abdomen has been severely bruised. Sometimes the pains are so sharp I can't stand up and I end up screaming the house down to of three times a day... The midwife said it must be Brixton hicks as it's not regular but constant, but I am getting slightly concerned I may have something wrong. I'm now two days overdue and getting fed up..!

Ionacat · 10/11/2016 19:09

Sorry to all of those who are suffering and are overdue. Hope you all get your babies soon.
I have my section tomorrow - eeekkkk. Quite excited especially after being in hospital all week!

tiredmumrighthere · 10/11/2016 21:01

Best of luck for tomorrow ionacat Smile

tiredmumrighthere · 10/11/2016 21:07

Well I've had enough! I'm going to get a hot bath now and I'm considering sex tonight to see if that gets things going Hmm I've never got this close to my due date before (due 14th) my youngest was 6 days early and my second was 4 weeks early so I kind of set my hopes on this baby being early too and if I get to my due date and she's not here I'll go insane! She's cooked enough there's no need for her to be in there still Confused

Spottyladybird · 10/11/2016 21:13

My due date was today and as nothing has started I'm guessing baby won't be here tonight!

Have forgotten what sleep is! My DD has been creeping in during the night and I've been waking in funny positions. DH has a cold so is moan central and is snoring. I've been getting up early and slinking downstairs for an hour or so of quiet!

Fedupithink · 10/11/2016 21:26

Good luck for tomorrow Iona!

I'm due on Saturday but I've hit the wall again today. Feel useless as there are hundreds of jobs I want to get done around the house but I ether don't have the motivation to start or worse, start but can't finish.

DH took me to the pub earlier to cheer me up but just getting and being dressed is such a chore. Maternity jeans are so so tight and uncomfortable, tops riding up, feet swollen so struggling with shoes. Arghhh!! Come on baby!

Fedupithink · 10/11/2016 21:28

Feel I should point out I'm not hanging around with no clothes on! At home I'm living in my DH's baggy tracksuit bottoms and a giant jumper but obviously can't wear those out!

FuzzyOwl · 10/11/2016 23:09

Just catching up and sorry so many are struggling. Good luck tomorrow Ionacat and I really hope it all goes smoothly for you.

Happy due date Spotty.

statsy · 11/11/2016 05:29

hello :) Sorry we're all in this particularly rubbish stage!!

I'm 40+5 today..and have been in early labour for 24 hours so far. Kicked off quite festive tbh, painful period cramps but manageable so I even shaved my legs and blow dried my hair ha! Had a Christmas coffee with breakfast in Costa with their xmas music in the background...

Midwife came over for a check as I had a second sweep booked. I thought she wouldn't do one but she offered anyway so I figured, why not see if it speeds things up. Sadly the contractions are so much more painful now.

Lying in bed trying to rest because I get less contractions here and not sure I'll make it through active labour with no sleep... or at all

Arghhh!!! Take care of yourselves all! This is the last stretch! Xxxxx

bobcat85 · 11/11/2016 10:14

Good luck Ionacat.

Sounds promising statsy, hope baby makes an appearance soon.

I actually managed to have a good night sleep last night. Went to bed at midnight then got up at 8am (with a couple of toilet breaks in the middle). Feeling much better for it, hope it's not just a one off.

TryingNotToWaddle · 11/11/2016 10:22

That's brilliant statsy hope it all goes well! I'm super jealous! I'm 40+6 and just been for a sweep but the midwife couldn't do it as my cervix isn't open. Wahhhhhh Sad

TryingNotToWaddle · 11/11/2016 10:23

Good luck for today! ionacat

Fedupithink · 11/11/2016 12:11

Ooh sounds promising Statsy good luck!

I'm doing some serious nesting today, have plans to clean the whole house. I'm hoping this will force baby out!

EllieM22 · 11/11/2016 12:21

Good luck Iona!

I'm 39+4 and so fed up. I ate a whole fresh pineapple and drank a load of pineapple juice and its done bugger all! I think I might try some birth visualisations later to see if that can calm me down enough to start something. I'm just so anxious about being induced even though I know I have 2 weeks left for baby to come of his own accord!!

Spottyladybird · 11/11/2016 13:12

So I'm now 40 + 1 and DH has tonsillitis! I've told baby just to stay put as I'm now trying to do everything around the house and look after DD! Why do men have such great timing?

tiredmumrighthere · 11/11/2016 16:48

Oh ellie we're the due date buddies lol I'm the same I'm so fed up, currently sitting at delivery because I'm losing green discharge Confused

EllieM22 · 11/11/2016 18:40

tired yes we are! Ohh hope everything is okay, keep us posted. Hopefully a sign that something is happening atleast!

tiredmumrighthere · 11/11/2016 21:28

So they've swabbed me and I've got to wait for results Hmm they said it could be that the babies opened her bowels but then it could also mean infection so just got to wait and see Confused

statsy · 12/11/2016 14:16

Baby Maya was born last night at 11pm (on 11/11!)

Thank you to you guys and this thread that's kept me going these horrendous 9 months!

:) all will be worth it in the end. Stay strong 💪

FuzzyOwl · 12/11/2016 14:26

Congratulations statsy.

Hope the results don't take too long to come back tired and your dh recovers soon Spotty.

Not much longer for the rest of you. It is a supermoon tomorrow, so that has to guarantee an influx of babies! Good luck to you all and I hope it goes well.

bobcat85 · 12/11/2016 16:23

Congrats statsy, great news.

I've been booked in for an induction tomorrow as I've got obstetric cholestasis. Not looking forward to it but feeling a bit more positive about it then I did this morning.

Hope you're all enjoying the weekend.

tiredmumrighthere · 12/11/2016 20:55

Congratulations statsy great news Smile

Thanks fuzzy no news yet so hoping that's good news!

Feeling rather fed up tonight, desperately want her out now! Uncomfortable ain't the word Sad

Fedupithink · 13/11/2016 00:28

Ahh congratulations Statsy!

I hope your induction has gone/is going well Bob and that you are doing well Tired

I have massively overdone the nesting and have spent all day suffering for if with horrible back/leg/pelvis ache. I really hoped today (due date) would be the day but as its now officially Sunday, I'm now officially overdue.

I am so fed up of the constant messages and not being able to do anything useful. Please come out baby!!

tiredmumrighthere · 13/11/2016 08:02

Thank you fedup
I'm in the same boat as you, fed up of the constant texts, emails, phone calls of "has she come yet" Sad it's my due date tomorrow and I've never gone this far before and it feels weird! I don't want to go overdue Confused so trying to stay active to get something going but end up over doing it, then I'm in pain all evening or get strong Brixton hicks and think something's happening so get all excited and go bed to wake up in the morning pain free and still no baby Confusedit's the waiting around that is killing me I feel like my life's on hold, I don't wanna go to far from home Incase anything happens but at the same time I'm so bored of staying home I can't win

Fedupithink · 13/11/2016 09:40

Exactly the same here Tired, I'm trying to relax whilst keeping active without overdoing it - so basically yeah impossible.

I desperately don't want to be induced. I slept terribly last night so my DH has gone off to a rememberance service and I'm at home sulking on the sofa Sad

I am trying really hard to be positive but I'm just in such a bad mood. Nice long fog walk later ending in the pub I think is in order! Just want to get out of this pity-party!
