Starting a fresh new thread for us!

I think Fedup asked about Elderberries and if anyone had heard from her... I haven't seen her name pop up in a while, but I'm not on the FB group either. I've been wondering the same about almondbutter, haven't seen her on here for a while now and know she was really suffering with sickness.

spotty oh I know Confused

but I'm a first timer so I haven't got a clue what's in store really, blissfully unaware and even looking forward to labour. Ha! I'm sure if there is a next time I won't be feeling the same or be worried about bodily functions anymore. At least now I'm feeling less impatient, if it's going to be awful I'm fine about putting it off another 4 weeks 😛

Spottyladybird · 23/10/2016 21:55

I'm still worrying about bodily functions second time round!
I did ask DH earlier if he could shave my legs as didn't want strangers to see my hairy legs! To which he replied 'but you're fine with them having a hand up your fanny?!'

FuzzyOwl · 23/10/2016 23:16

Hope everyone is doing well.

I'm the same Spotty and almost didn't make it to the hospital to give birth as shaving my legs was a higher priority than seeking medical assistance! Grin

TryingNotToWaddle · 24/10/2016 00:01

That reminds me... I need to find a way to paint my toenails Grin

Spottyladybird · 24/10/2016 09:04

DH paints my toenails, I told him it was like painting airfix models which he did as a child.

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 24/10/2016 09:17

That thread is great - think I got off lightly last time. Now I'm worried what this time has in store!

TryingNotToWaddle · 24/10/2016 10:59

Haha I bet he loves that!

I wish I had a DH to paint mine, unfortunately im on my own this pregnancy so will be a contortionist instead trying new and ingenious ways of touching my toes lol

Ionacat · 25/10/2016 08:43

That thread gave me a good laugh. I don't remember much about last time apart from putting in the canula really hurt! Rest of the induction including the C-section is a fuzzy blur. I remember being obsessed with fibre and drinking lots afterwards so that it didn't hurt going to to the toilet - definitely the way forward as it didn't!
I'm thoroughly obsessed with washing at the moment and smell of fresh washing. I think it is my latest nesting thing! I don't think I've ever been quite so on top of the washing before!

Gembear25 · 25/10/2016 09:44

Morning all,
Pre-op for me today and then elcs on Thursday - eeek! I'm having a baby this weekShock. Think we're all organised and DS is very excited to meet his little brother. I can't wait to no longer be pregnant although I'm under no illusions that recovery from a c section will be easy.

Stretchedfortime · 25/10/2016 15:56

That is very exciting Gem. Good luck!

Spottyladybird · 25/10/2016 16:52

Good luck gem. It's my birthday on Thursday so will raise a non alcoholic glass to you!

needanewjob · 25/10/2016 18:50

Midwife again. Little boy is now 4/5ths engaged - hoping he doesn't pop back up! Lots of bouncing on the ball tonight!

tiredmumrighthere · 25/10/2016 22:51

Hi everyone

37+1 today and getting the most awful pain in my groin! I can be walking then all of a sudden my right leg just goes and I almost fall to the floor Confused feels like baby is on a nerve it's horrendous..it's one thing after another lately

TryingNotToWaddle · 26/10/2016 00:17

Has anyone tried clary sage? I'm currently sniffing it in between drinking raspberry leaf tea and bouncing on a ball.

Desperate much Halloween Grin

MuffyTheUmpireSlayer · 26/10/2016 09:33

Good luck gem!

trying I haven't tried that or raspberry leaf tea yet, I'm going to give both a go as I'm so ready to not be pregnant any more!

They've said they might induce me next week at 38-39 weeks (if baby doesn't arrive before then) as his growth is slowing down. Aaaah!

helenatroy · 26/10/2016 09:57

I miracle. Slept last night, no heartburn and cold almost gone.

Fedupithink · 26/10/2016 11:51

Good luck for tomorrow Gem!

Helena I had similar a few nights ago, the relief was incredible. Sadly I'm now back to "normal" actually found myself crying about 3am with just how unfair it all is as my DH sleeps soundly.

I spent 7 hours in a car yesterday for what should have been a 3 hour trip to buy a new car. I am so unbelievably sore today from being sat in the same position. Sofa day today.

tiredmumrighthere · 26/10/2016 22:07

Fedup-how weird we've been and got a new car today too Smile its cheered me right up too as I was getting really worried that we wouldn't get one in time for the new arrival!

Also came home to another present today, a perfect prep machine from my brother and sister in law Grin if anyone's after one in black they've gone down to £65 in mothercare

Fedupithink · 27/10/2016 05:27

Must be the nesting Tired!

Slept for two good chunks of last night once dosed up with aromatherapy oils and heartburn tablets. Feeling a day of nesting is on the cards - I really need to finish jobs I keep starting and leaving half way through!

Spottyladybird · 27/10/2016 08:04

It's my birthday but feeling poop as I barely slept last night, couldn't get comfy then DD got in with us in the early hours. Must invest in a bigger bed!
I normally love my birthday but can't be arsed this year. DH has a cold so is moaning about that too! I just want to
Scream I feel like I've got a melon between my legs- get over it!

tiredmumrighthere · 27/10/2016 08:05

I'm nesting real bad, today I've got to pack the baby's clothes away in her new drawers, everything's washed and ironed and just sitting in my room, need to organise the bedrooms and then I'm ready for her Smile

CocklesandMussels · 27/10/2016 08:45

Lots of impending exciting news for everyone! Good luck Gem for today, and to everyone else getting twinges.
My two are still feeding all night but they are cute so they get away with it. I won't post snaps of their faces but here are their hands:

MuffyTheUmpireSlayer · 27/10/2016 10:25

Aww cockles that is such a lovely picture. Look at them holding hands!

needanewjob · 27/10/2016 14:04

Aww look at them - what an adorable photo!

helenatroy · 27/10/2016 15:07

Love that picture you should make it your Christmas card this year.
