Starting a fresh new thread for us!

I think Fedup asked about Elderberries and if anyone had heard from her... I haven't seen her name pop up in a while, but I'm not on the FB group either. I've been wondering the same about almondbutter, haven't seen her on here for a while now and know she was really suffering with sickness.

Same muffy, I got so wound up by him try it on last night that I sat up in bed and yelled "well god gave you two hands for a reason so go use them" Shock I don't know why he'd think I was "up for it" when I've got aches and pains in just about every region of my body, spd, restless feet and feel hot and clammy 24 hrs a day, a four bedroom house to clean, washing ironing, and 4 kids (one being a very active toddler) to run around after! No help or offer to help but when I get in bed I'm expecting to "feel in the mood" piss off!!! I don't care that you feel like you never get anything! Look at the state of me!!! AngryAngryAngry and breath... Sorry about that lol needed to vent x

RosyP13 · 22/09/2016 17:33

Haha, my husband and I were having sex last night and it was fine (though more awkward now with a huge belly) until he squeezed my boob and I yelled out in agony! Don't think he'll dare go near me again for a while!

Teaching is so so hard now. I have the most physically and behaviourally demanding class I've ever taught (I'm in a special school). I'm desperate to start maternity leave but really can't afford to. School won't make things easier for me because they want me to go on leave so they can stop paying me (they're using an unqualified teacher for my cover so much cheaper).

Spottyladybird · 22/09/2016 21:50

Rosy that's not fair to you or baby (or your class). You can see your doctor who can right you a note to say what adjustments need to be made for your health. Have you had a recent risk assessment? Legally, your employer should be making adjustments. The maternity action website is quite good for advice or contact your union.

smellsofelderberries · 23/09/2016 10:21

Tired that sounds really rubbish of your DP that he's moping about no sex! We have done it a few times in the past month but I now get braxton hicks afterwards and my back gets sore from the only position we can do it in!

Rosy, that's really tough Sad but your work can't not make reasonable adjustments to your work, especially at this stage. Are you a part of a union?

TryingNotToWaddle34weeks · 23/09/2016 14:43

Hi everyone!

I've just joined Mumsnet so saying a quick hello :)

My baby boy is due November 5th, so excited!

Fedupithink · 23/09/2016 17:17

Hi Trying! How are you feeling?

I'm due a baby girl on the 12th.

I'm so tired today, slept separately last night to avoid the snoring issues but kept waking with heartburn and needing to wee. I had to resort to a 30 minute secret nap at work but still needed to leave early which means I'll be working over the weekend.

3 weeks today is my last day, it cannot come soon enough right now.

MuffyTheUmpireSlayer · 23/09/2016 20:46

Hello trying and welcome to the thread!

3 weeks today for me too tired. I'm already mentally not there to be honest. It can't come sooner!

I was thinking of you today Rosy. It's so crap that your school are being so unsupportive. I hope today was a better day for you!

CocklesandMussels · 23/09/2016 21:07

No sex here either, it's too much of a faff trying to sort out the logistics. Bump is massive and I can only lie on my left side due to back pain.

I'm also snoring, I managed to wake myself up with it last night!

Mostly ok here but I have now got cholestasis of pregnancy so I'm being monitored more closely. I'm on tablets which seem to be helping a bit with the itching. im due back in for repeat bloods tomorrow.
Has anyone got any further with names? DH wants Emma if one is a girl. Emma was my nemesis at school so I've vetoed it and we're back to the drawing board with none that we agree on.
Argh! Hope all well with the rest of you and hi to the newbies xx

MuffyTheUmpireSlayer · 23/09/2016 21:25

Still not a single name on the list Cockles! I think he'll end up being called "The Baby" at this rate...

RosyP13 · 23/09/2016 21:34

Today was even harder as I was one TA down. Ive emailed the deputy head and asked to meet with her next week to update my risk assessment, and I'll try and make the point that I need a different class or reduced teaching.

Names are so difficult to choose and agree on; we've given up trying to decide and are hoping it'll be suddenly obvious when she's born!

TryingNotToWaddle34weeks · 23/09/2016 21:48

I'm feeling knackered as well! A five minute activity needs two hours sleep to recover! Lol

I'm also having a problem picking a boys name. The problem is there's loads that I don't hate but absolutely none that I love. I feel like boys names are harder somehow! Don't remember having this problem with my daughter...

Fedupithink · 24/09/2016 07:25

We haven't made any more progress with names either. Shortlist is about 9 names but I think that'll be as good as it gets until she arrives. I still have the same 2/3 favourites but my DH changes his mind almost daily.

I've had such a rough week sleep wise I'm feeling pretty awful today and the foot swelling and carpel tunnel are both quite bad. Still trying to remember how lucky I am that everything is going well and these are only very minimal issues in the grand scheme of things.

Happy weekends everyone!

JadeT2 · 24/09/2016 08:11

Welcome Trying! A bonfire night baby :)

I'm sorry everyone is suffering with work :( I finished this week at 33 weeks as I'm taking my entire annual holiday entitlement before starting my leave. It was such a relief as my job is exhausting and stressful but I feel a bit odd about it so far and keep thinking of things to do "next time I'm in" I'm hoping this passes soon!

We had a growth scan yesterday after slightly reduced movements, as she is normally going crazy at all hours of the day and her movements were more subdued. MW said it's just due to her change in position. She was transverse but is now head down and really low. She is measuring at 4lb 5 at the moment which is spot on for dates so that's a relief :)

I got really faint and sock during the scan though and had to sit up before I passed out! It was very strange as I usually lie on my back to get off to sleep and have not had a problem before.

JadeT2 · 24/09/2016 08:12

*sick not sock!

Ionacat · 24/09/2016 09:32

Happy Weekend everyone!

We've got a shortlist of names, but can't agree! Middle names are sorted as we are using family names. It was hard enough coming up with a shortlist as being a teacher there are some names I just can't use!

Sorry to those who are struggling and I'm very jealous of those who have finished. I have another four weeks to go before I finish work, but it all seems to be getting a bit close now. I can't believe that it won't be long before I have DC2, I'm hoping that everything will just come back as DD is 5.

Spottyladybird · 24/09/2016 11:40

Last night was the first night I really struggled with sleeping. I couldn't get comfy and every turn felt like a mission! Six weeks 5 days until due date and 6 more days at work!

DD is three and understands all the bits about baby being in mummy's tummy but keeps jumping on me- she says 'I can't jump on mummy because of baby' but does it anyway! It's really sore sometimes but I don't want to be cross as it's usually when she's excited to see bump!

Spottyladybird · 24/09/2016 11:41

And names are so tricky! Think we're sorted for a boy but girls are hard!

TryingNotToWaddle34weeks · 24/09/2016 12:05

Yes bonfire night! Hopefully he comes on his due date as how cool would it be having fireworks to celebrate every year!

That's unusual about feeling dizzy, maybe because the baby is getting busy there's less room for lungs/ air. Lol I'm not sure if that's even medically possible though, science is not my strongpoint! Ha Grin

I've finished work at the end of August but only because I'm self employed and recently moved area, so was kinda pointless trying to gather new clients before having baby.

CocklesandMussels · 24/09/2016 12:48

Ooh yes birthday fireworks sound good!
I'm sitting on the ward waiting for bloods to be taken as outpatients is closed at the weekend. Trying to use the time to look for names again but still no luck. Harder that we don't know what we're having. DD's name is in a book I love so maybe I should read that again and see if anything else pops up!

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 26/09/2016 08:15

Monday mornings are definitely getting harder... Sad

Spottyladybird · 26/09/2016 09:14

Anyone else feeling emotional? I was very emotional at the start of the pregnancy then felt ok for a bit but now I keep crying at random things! I know a change in your emotional state can indicate that labour is likely to start soon but I've still got 6 weeks to go!

mrsdane · 26/09/2016 09:21

Spotty yes, I had this yesterday. Weepy over nothing, which I find so odd as I've not really had many hormonal swings throughout my pregnancy. Although, if one more person tells me I have a 'tiny' bump or look tired, I am going to punch them. Don't even care who they are. Fuck off and stop judging my body shape. I haven't commented on your fat arse, have I now?
Does it really mean labour is likely to start soon?! I have my first NCT tonight, she can't come yet....

Bollyroo · 26/09/2016 09:24

Spotty, I'm not so emotional at Te moment but DH is. Does that count?! I have turned into a scatterbrain through which I'm finding very frustrating. Completely out of character.
Only 4 more days of work for me Grin. Beyond excited. I'm so ready to do all my little projects like painting the cradle, seeing my little baby outfits and sorting out the nursery.
I went to a baby exhibition on Saturday and bought some cloth nappies. Not sure how much hassle it'll be but I'm going to give it a try! Couldn't resist the cute designs.

Bollyroo · 26/09/2016 09:25

And apparently I can't spell anymore! Sorry!!Smile

RuskBaby · 26/09/2016 09:47

Hormonal and scatterbrain here too! I cry at stupid things. DH now asks if I'm ok, I nod, gives me a hug and resumes whatever he was doing.
