Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! This heat can kiss my arse. And who KNEW being so neurotic about which changing mat to buy could be so satisfying and addictive!

Roll up literally, in my case, cause I'm practically rotund! for TTC #1 Grads!

How did your baby shower go Indi? Hope you, and everyone else had a great time, and that everyone got on well.

Lisa that sounds like a good weight, will they just offer extra scans or deliver you early?

Pink just waiting for you to go into labour now.

Shelb hope you are now relaxing with your tiny baby.

Feefeefs · 28/08/2016 19:01

Hope things settle down okay miley.

I should have put a warning for the weevil chat sorry all!

Operation weevil get rid off has now taken me and DH about 9 hours? 5 yesterday 4 today. I'm not good with insects and particularly if they're around food. Even though I am aware these are harmless.

So I went a bit OTT and through out all food that wasn't in a jar or a tin, all cutlery, dishes, pots, pans etc went in dishwasher at highest setting inside of cupboards hovered and white vinegared. All (newly bought) food now in glass sealed jars or clip lock plastic. The cleaning was worthwhile too as at it should be easier to do now next time prior to moving out and Renton the flat.

However I can't walk now having to hold on to furniture to move. DH isn't much better as he was on call last night and was called out twice once for 4 hours then for 2 hours (his work is also 45 mins each way) so we're a sorry site this evening!

I have to second the other comments drink 2nd trimester sleep is no better ! Being rid of the nausea is a godsend though. Miley is my hero for still battling through.

drinkyourmilk · 28/08/2016 19:02

Sorry Miley I didn't see your post. Hope the pain has abated now.

DrWhy Hope baby stays put till you are ready. Good news about the car

drinkyourmilk · 28/08/2016 19:06

Feef you'd hate my house we have reptiles and breed cockroaches and locusts!

I'm still hopeful I'll get more sleep in a few weeks Grin

Mileymoocow · 28/08/2016 19:19

No more, just a little concerned about what the hell it could have been. I'd say it was about 45mins - 1 hr since it happened. I'm a serious drama queen aren't I Blush now desperately trying to wake baby up so at least I know they're OK in there!

Mileymoocow · 28/08/2016 20:08

Had 2 more since that last post. Did any graduate graduates experience false labour? This pregnancy thing is a total mind fuck!

feef you should choose a better hero! I'm an absolute walking disaster at the moment Grin really glad you have weevil infestation under control. Time to put your feet up and relax

lisa Hopefully they're not going to let you go too far? I know a few people who have been told baby is big and mostly they're an OK size! My friend had a c section a week and a half early as they said her baby was already over 9lb (her first was a 10lb boy and she had a very difficult time resulting in forcep delivery). Baby number 2 was 7lb 6 when she came out. I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry Smile

HepKestrel · 28/08/2016 20:15

how many weeks are you miley ?

Mileymoocow · 28/08/2016 20:21

hep I'm only 34+1! I think it's all died down now but God knows what was going on. I've never experienced anything like it - I was doubled over in pain. I actually thought it was my appendix at one point Blush

Pinklily1 · 28/08/2016 20:26

Drink, you bread cockroaches?! Why?!

Miley, did the midwife say what to do if you had anymore? If you are worried, I'd say go along to the hospital just to be safe Flowers

Pinklily1 · 28/08/2016 20:26

*breed

HepKestrel · 28/08/2016 20:37

miley less exercise, and more couch time with feet up ?

take it easy Flowers

i cracked and have started my "baby shopping list". its too early i know....

Mileymoocow · 28/08/2016 20:37

Just if I have more than 6 in an hour or my waters go then I need to go in. I have about a hands width between my underboob and top of uterus now. Top of uterus is tender to touch, too. I'm wondering if it was some sort of pelvic ligament pain as baby dropped.

Anyway! I'm done being a self centred hypochondriac now Grin I'm pretty sure it was nothing.

Mileymoocow · 28/08/2016 20:40

hep it's never too early! Enjoy making lists Smile

drinkyourmilk · 28/08/2016 20:42

We have reptiles, and live food is expensive. We are cutting it down now though as we've only 3 at the moment. At one point we had about 10 different vivs, and some had more than one animal in it!

drinkyourmilk · 28/08/2016 20:43

Oh Hep hubby and I have known for a couple of years what we want. It's just taken a while longer than we expected to get me knocked up! Grin
Will start looking (second hand ) after 12 week scan.

HepKestrel · 28/08/2016 20:58

we won't buy anything for awhile ! research only Smile

OH's parents are visiting us next weekend. We don't plan on telling them, but given that i won't be drinking, and wanting my steak well done etc...... i'm not convinced it won't be obvious!

Our plan is not to advertise it, but not to deny it either........ so the secret may come out next week ...eek!

still doesn't feel real yet.... hopefully when i see the heartbeat next friday fx

Pinklily1 · 28/08/2016 20:59

What kind of reptiles do you have Drink?

Did you say baby is an IVF baby? Does that impact on your care at all during pregnancy?

drinkyourmilk · 28/08/2016 21:17

Pink we've a chameleon, a beardie, and a leopard gecko.
Yes ivf baby. Classed as high risk till 12 weeks, and taking progesterone pessaries twice a day as body is slow to produce due to all the drugs I've been taking.
Which means I've got chronic constipation. Ladies I need help! Taking 30ml lactose twice a day, plus drinking 2 litres a day. Lots of fruit juice, fruit and veg. It's been over a week. Any suggestions? Please?

HepKestrel · 28/08/2016 21:22

drink allbran

Mileymoocow · 28/08/2016 21:26

drink I'm absolutely not the one to help Blush I can't remember what it feels like to have a proper poo. What did help in the earlier days, however, was dried apricots and an actimel drink.

drinkyourmilk · 28/08/2016 21:32

All bran!! How on earth did I forget? Thanks Hep
Miley I'll top it with some dried fruit too. Do you think a probiotic capsule would help? I've got some of those from last antibiotics

AudreyBradshaw · 28/08/2016 21:32

Sorry so many are in pain and suffering this week, hoping it passes! You poor things!

drink proper black bassets liquorice stick.

Drink, I found prunes and prune juice helped. They tasted vile but they helped Smile

Sodasoda · 28/08/2016 22:11

Hi everyone,

It's been a really busy day on here so apologies in advance for missing people!

Shelb thinking of you!

Miley that must be scary with the pain, hope it dies down. Also can't believe how bad you've had it with sickness, what a fucker its come back again.

Dr I'm similar to you, haven't had a tough time compared to others and I don't want baby to come yet (I'm 37+4) as want to enjoy some time off work - finish in Friday - but am really starting to feel it now. I'm tired and hot and my feet are so swollen and sore that I struggle to walk at all Sad

Potato what BP medication are you on? I've been on meds for years (I have a kidney problem that has caused high BP which is why I've been quite a high risk pregnancy) and throughout pregnancy. I'm on labetalol. Hope they get it under control. If you have an option try to take meds at night as they can make you quite light headed if you take them in morning while you get used to them.

Drink advice on poo-ing. Hmmmmm. Grapes and fig rolls worked for a while. Now nothing works. Angry Lactulase when I get really desperate.

Indi hope you had a lovely baby shower.

The wedding yesterday was good fun, nice to see people. I didn't dance at all as my feet were too sore but managed to make it to the end! Very tiring day today with various in laws and 6 kids of various ages running about. Have come to bed early just to have some me time!

Waves to everyone I missed and sorry to those having a bad time of it.

IndiX · 28/08/2016 22:57

Hi ladies,
Hope you're all doing ok. Had no time to catch up today but Shelb I hope everything is going well for you!!

Had a lovely baby shower today, so nice seeing friends and family who I haven't seen for ages. A couple of friends let me down and only text me to say they couldn't come 3 hours after it had started..never mind I'm not letting it bother me too much. I had a gorgeous afternoon.

Also when I got home was facetiming DH and he said why are your boobs shiny. I'm fucking LEAKING!! Not loads but a tiny bit from each side..I felt a bit sick and weird about it tbh! at least I know they work but I don't know how to feel about it?! I feel like a cow and that my boobs have lost all sex appeal nowConfused

PLUS I've just gone to wash my face with my Clinique soap bar and realised my step dad has used it on his BALLS! It had pubes on itAngry I shouted my mum and started crying my eyes out, I know I should laugh but I'm too upset and angry right now!! She said he'd be mortified if she told him so she's just going to replace it tomorrow.

So all in all quite an eventful day.....
Will catch up now, hope you're all doing ok x
