Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! This heat can kiss my arse. And who KNEW being so neurotic about which changing mat to buy could be so satisfying and addictive!

Roll up literally, in my case, cause I'm practically rotund! for TTC #1 Grads!

Pink and drink (hey, that rhymes!) and Miley, I have no idea what they will do, but yes I imagine it means they'll intervene sooner. All the sonographer said was what it means right now, and to come back soon. Guess the midwives can talk more with me about potential plans.

Kitchen is doing well, thanks! We are almost there, and two and a half weeks without a fridge or anything else will soon be a long memory!

Drink - I ended up reading quite warily after you mentioned the reptile thing. I knew someone would ask you what you had, and I was a little on edge.... thank god you don't have any snakes (just typing that makes me shudder).....

Soda, I never realised you were high risk. You seemed to be sailing through pregnancy pretty much, and your stamina for staying up late has amazed me. Sorry about your feet - hope this week goes quickly for you, then you can put your feet up and enjoy mat leave!

Indi, glad the baby shower went well. Sorry, I didn't mean to but I chuckled out loud when I read about your soap Blush . Hope you get a new one soon!

IrregularCommentary · 29/08/2016 00:45

Miley I had the most godawful pain Fri afternoon that lasted at least an hour. Bottom left of my bump, kinda underneath it. Felt like a really bad stitch - the really intense stitch pain you get when you breathe in but this didn't let up in intensity at all.

Went away eventually and not had it again, but it was pretty bad. Think it was ligament stretching pain. Was yours similar to that?

Hope you don't get it again either way.

Mileymoocow · 29/08/2016 07:47

irregular it sounds very similar! Then came in shorter waves for a while. It was around my back, too. I slept from 10 til 12 then about 2 til 6 so I've had a bit more rest than usual and am not feeling as up a height today.

indi I'm sorry to say I had a giggle at your soap incident too! Sorry Sad I'm glad you had a lovely baby shower though! And also that your boobs are leaking. I know what you mean about them losing all sex appeal but it's still pretty awesome Grin mine aren't leaking yet and I'm a little jealous bizarrely

Feefeefs · 29/08/2016 08:12

Oh poor you indi!! That would stress me out to re others using soap!! Yuck. Glad you had a nice baby shower tho! Also glad I'm not the only one freaked out by leaky nipples!!

Glad pain is away miley.

I'm knackered this morning! Was back to every 2 hours waking as my back was sore:( have a manic day ahead too

Feefeefs · 29/08/2016 08:12

Also 25 weeks today

HepKestrel · 29/08/2016 08:28

Eww the soap! I'd be so mad!

Pinklily1 · 29/08/2016 08:49

I'll confess to having a giggle about the soap too Indi! Thank god you noticed before using it!! I'm glad you enjoyed your baby shower.

Miley? Pleased you managed to sleep a bit better. Hopefully you won't have anymore pains today.

I'm grumpy today. 39+6 and still no baby HmmWe're off to a wedding and I'm wearing flat shoes. I already know I'm going to look and feel like a whale in comparison to everyone else there. One of the other girls going is pregnant too (about 6 weeks behind me) and always manages to look amazing in lovely dresses and heels. I couldn't last a day in heels if I wanted to!

drinkyourmilk · 29/08/2016 08:53

Lisa we had a couple of those, but we're told we ha do get rid if we wanted to adopt. Disgraceful really as they were rescues. So we rehomed then hubby said he didn't want to adopt anymore and wanted to do ivf.

drinkyourmilk · 29/08/2016 08:56

Pink quite frankly everyone is going to be amazed you are attending a day from due date. You will look beautiful- I've honestly never seen a heavily pregnant woman who didn't.

The most irritating thing will be how many people ask how you are feeling and do you have any signs of impending labour.
Find somewhere you are happy sitting, a stool to put your feet up on, and make everyone else serve you. Hope you have a lovely day

Mileymoocow · 29/08/2016 09:14

pink you'll look amazing - I'm sure! I have to say mind I'm so impressed you're going. And also that the other pregnant lady cannot be comfortable in heels! Not a hope in hell of me wearing any (or finding any to fit!) and I'm 6 weeks behind you.

feef oh no! You've had a busy few days it's a shame you can't take it easy today Sad look after yourself though - back pain is a monster.

Had a few niggly pains but nothing compared to yesterday. What has happened though is that more plug has come away but has bloody streaks in it this time. I think my body is completely messed up Hmm can it not just accept I have 5 weeks and 5 bloody days to go and stop showing signs of labour that terrify me?! But I haven't been sick Grin

Co5mo · 29/08/2016 09:18

Pink I did a wedding in flats at the weekend too. Didn't even contemplate heels. My £15 New Look dress seemed to go down ok. Thought it might look a little cheap next to everyone's nice dresses. I felt very short and got somewhat bored of answering the same questions over and over again (I don't think I can forget how long I have to go now) but I was glad of my flats when a fire broke out and we were evacuated. Swift exit for me. Anyway, I hope you have a nice day.

Never leave a bar of soap unattended. It could still be used inappropriately and they could remove the evidence and you'd never know. Eeeeeew.

Just trying to catch up, having done far too much over the weekend and paying for it today with seized hips. Oh well, it was great fun.

Pinklily1 · 29/08/2016 09:31

Thanks ladies. I particularly like Drinks suggestion of getting people to serve me!

cosmo, there was a fire at the wedding?! Hopefully just a minor one!

When is your next midwife appointment Miley? Hopefully she can reassure you about the mucus plug and the pains.

ElleSarcasmo · 29/08/2016 09:33

Oh Indi, that's so grim about your soap! I would be upset too!

I'm well impressed you're going to a wedding today Pink! I bet you look beautiful. Heels would be horrendous after a little while.

Miley glad you're ok now. Pregnancy is so weird!

Yay for 25 weeks Feefs! I am 27 weeks today. Glad you've got rid of the evil weevils!

Hep definitely not too early to make a list!

Anyone suffering from fat feet-mine have gone up a size in width (I think)-new look have got quite a good wide fit range, I got a pair of plain black ballet pumps with quite a sturdy sole for £7.99. They are really comfy and good for the price, though not expecting them to last forever. Roll on boots season!

IndiX · 29/08/2016 09:41

Morning ladies.

Now it's the morning after I can laugh a bit at the soap incident. God I was so pissed off last night, I was sobbing to my mum in anger! Never mind, just be wary of soap thieves in future ladies Grin

Miley I thought you'd had a bit of boob leakage?
I was so shocked/horrified! It was only a tiny bit and then I kept squeezing them to see if more came out, it was just like clear liquid but the odd bit of white thick stuffConfused I even said to DH I felt like a cow and that he'll now feel differently towards me he did say they 'weren't his anymore, they're now beanie's' which made me a bit sad, feef have you got leaky nips too? I'm now thinking it's really early to have them? I'm nearly 34weeks.

Pink you'll look gorgeous I'm sure and you're literally about to drop so bugger wearing heels all day! Have a lovely day.

Miley glad you haven't been sick today, sorry to hear about your pain yesterday! That must have been scary. Are you going to call the midwife about your plug? Hope you're ok, and hope Mini Miley stays put for a while longer!

LisaTheSimpson · 29/08/2016 09:53

Pink, I agree with Drink. I've never seen a heavily pregnant woman at an event who hasn't looked amazing. I'm sure they're secretly hating it and feel really hot, sweaty, and uncomfortable, but you really can't tell.

Danni89 · 29/08/2016 10:12

indi the soap story literally made me LOL! So awkward but glad it's being replaced. Glad you enjoyed your baby shower too.

Enjoy the wedding pink, I'm sure you'll look beautiful

I'm 38 weeks and haven't had leaky nipples hope I'll be able to feed my baby's when he arrives Hmm

Hope everyone enjoys there bank hols (wonder how shelb is??)

IndiX · 29/08/2016 10:20

I'm about to google are leaky nips normal at 34 weeks. I've just given them a squeeze and one didn't do anything but one had a bit of cream liquid come out. It's just when I squeeze them..I still feel very weird about them. I know I should embrace the whole Mother Earth thing but it's taken me by surprise!

I know I keep wondering how Shelb is too, hope she's doing ok and she's having lots of baby cuddles now.

Mileymoocow · 29/08/2016 10:21

indi I had a but of the clear stuff but no full on leaking through my top! I'm sure it's completely normal this early Smile my nipples have totally changed though - they look so much bigger and darker! Mini miley has been warned not to come for at least 2 and a half weeks.

pink I see her on Wednesday and embarrassingly have written a list of things to mention Blush I feel like I'm being such a bloody drama queen!

Going shopping and out for lunch with my friends, think I deserve to treat myself Grin

drinkyourmilk · 29/08/2016 10:32

Ladies I have my booking in appointment tomorrow. Is there anything I need to be asking?

Pinklily1 · 29/08/2016 10:40

Enjoy your day out Miley. I went with a bunch of questions to my last appointment too!

I haven't had leaky nipples yet. I do worry that that means I'm going to struggle to feed, but we'll see.

Drink, I can't think of anything specific to ask. Just be prepared to give an indication of which hospital you want to have baby in. It took me by surprise that they asked that so early. Also, it's good to know of any family medical conditions on your side and your OH's (diabetes, heart disease, cancer etc). They also ask if you are/have been subject to domestic abuse in your relationship, so it's worth being aware that that will probably come up.

Pinklily1 · 29/08/2016 10:41

Also, yeah for 25 weeks Feefs, and for 27 weeks Elle. It feels like that has gone really fast! (I'm sure it doesn't necessarily feel like that for either of you!!)

Pyxie · 29/08/2016 10:43

Indi I'm 30 weeks and I gave mine a squeeze a couple of days ago and some bright yellow(!) liquid came out of one (the slightly bigger boob). Now I'm worried the other boob won't work! We can't win - there's always something to worry about! But I'm sure it's all fine and totally normal.

LisaTheSimpson · 29/08/2016 10:50

You guys are all very booby these days - I'm not squeamish and don't have anything against it, but I just don't really fancy having a squeeze to see what happens..... Blush

IndiX · 29/08/2016 10:51

Pyxie yeah mine was yellowish just then. I keep giving them a squeeze as I'm still in shock but intrigued. Just googled and it all normal just feels weird.

Yay for 25 and 27 weeks Elle and feef!

Drink basically everything that pink said, they'll just do your weight, blood pressure ask a load of questions and give you leaflets and your notes.

Also Elle I've just seen you asked about ELCS. I basically mentioned it at around the 16-20 week mark that I was interested. When I next had a midwife appt she asked was I still interested and booked me in with the consultant. I went to see the consultant around 30 weeks and then again at 33 weeks to book me in.

Canters15 · 29/08/2016 11:07

Hello all! Havent read back much, sorry! Hope youve all had a lovely weekend. I've been on call all weekend but it hasn't been too bad at all. Off out for a pub lunch today with friends.

Think we're about 90% decided we're going to take the singapore offer. Just think we'll regret it if we don't. Not looking forward to telling my mum at all.

Indi I had a giggle at the soap story too. Honestly, doesn't that man know clinique is far too good for balls?
