Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! This heat can kiss my arse. And who KNEW being so neurotic about which changing mat to buy could be so satisfying and addictive!

Roll up literally, in my case, cause I'm practically rotund! for TTC #1 Grads!

Lillian, Mason was born at 38+4, weighing 7lb1..

I'm by myself this morning too, OH is working part time hours this week and returns full time next week... Need to start getting about on my own, want to find some baby groups and mummy friends

mayago · 12/09/2016 11:25

Wow, a lot has happened since I've been away! Big congratulations to Pink, Soda and Irregular! Pink Evelyn shares my birthday, and I was 11 days late I believe?

Hope all goes well Miley! I'll be thinking of you today.

Lilian my EDD is now 5th January and I'm team pink.

Hope everyone is having an okay Monday! Waves to everyone I've missed

Pyxie · 12/09/2016 11:32

It's all go on here! Congrats to the new mummies and I hope it's all going well with Miley.

The realisation that I'm actually going to have a real life 'outside-the-womb' baby is slowly dawning on me. I'm not far off panic! I think I need to get some stuff sorted and hopefully that will make me feel more prepared. Think I'll start with my hospital bag since early babies don't seem to be as rare as I thought!

Lillian my EDD is actually 5th November if you wouldn't mind changing it, thanks!

Sodasoda · 12/09/2016 11:41

Alexa arrived at 39+2 and weighed. 6lbs 1oz. Newborn clothes are pretty massive on her so she'll definitely get plenty of wear out of the ones we've got!

Day 3 hormones have hit today and have cried a LOT so far. It hasn't helped that there's been a mix up in our postnatal care - apparently our post code is on the border of 3 trusts so a request for MW visit has been lost. DH has been on to them all this morning and after a tearful input from me I've got a promise someone will visit today. After speaking to me they probably fear my my mental health!

Good luck to those on their own today. I'm dreading that day even though it's a good 2 weeks away so hoping things will be much easier by then.

Updated the list - good to see the number of weeks on there!

thanks for the feedback on the clothes sizes - the estimated birth weight from my last scan is 6lb as well soda so I think my LO will be ok with newborn ones for a few weeks at least. Easy enough to order more 0-3 when she arrives Smile

Nice to hear from you pyxie - yes things are kicking off now with 10 almost 11 (go miley!) thread babies!

cheering on the new mums on their own today - I'm sure you are all doing great!

Mileymoocow · 12/09/2016 12:43

Hi ladies. I'm a mummy! Harrison Robert was born this morning at 10.24am weighing 6lb 6.5oz and he is superb! Happily munching away on the boob as I type

Thank you for all the well wishes, will give you my labour story soon

Nevlet · 12/09/2016 12:44

Lillian Arya was 6lb12oz... I'm very glad she wasn't 8lb but at the rate she's gaining she may be 8lbnow!

Miley woohoo! Well done, so pleased for you Grin

IndiX · 12/09/2016 13:06

Aaaahhh Miley so so happy for you! Knew you'd be a team blueGrin hope you're both doing well. Sending lots of love xx

Think I have just experienced my first Danny daggers! Sharp pains (kind of the same when you're dying for a wee) but inside my actual vagina hole. Not the most pleasant especially during a spin class! Hope this doesn't mean anything..I'm super paranoid now after all these early birthsBlush

LillianFullStop · 12/09/2016 13:15

Yay congrats miley!!!! CakeCakeCake welcome baby Harrison! How many weeks are you miley? 36? Hope he's doing well even if a little early!

The fanny daggers and discharge have upped the ante for me too indi - not sure if it's because I'm just paranoid and hyper aware of every niggle! They definitely coincide with LO kicking and punching around so I figure she might be head butting or punching me in the cervix.

Not sure where I got 8lb from potato sorry about that I'll fix it! Smile

IndiX · 12/09/2016 13:24

Yeah same with my discharge Lillian. Sometimes I get this poo feeling too in my bum but I think my cervix is quite far back and she's head butting it. I think I'm going to be on edge the next 3.5 weeks!

Btw was meant to say sorry you've had a tough time Audrey but hopefully it'll all be resolved soonFlowers

Sorry you're feeling down soda, glad someone is coming to visit you today. It's totally normal for your hormones to be going crazy so don't feel bad about having a good cry.

To all the mamas on their own today I'm sure you'll be great suddenly Destiny's Child's Independent Woman came in to my headHmm

IndiX · 12/09/2016 13:26

Ps before I obviously meant fanny daggers NOT Danny daggers. God knows who he is..

Pyxie · 12/09/2016 13:31

Congratulations Miley and welcome to the world Harrison!

Thanks for doing the list Lillian! It's interesting to see the weeks. So many people have said to me " you always go late with your first ", not sure where that comes from but I'm thinking it must be a myth, surely!

Newmrs22 · 12/09/2016 13:35

Lillian Jacob was born at bang on 40 weeks.

I'm not worried about being alone during the day, it's a whole night alone that's freaking me out a bit!

Haha Potato Jacob must be well over 10lb now. He was 9lb 15 last Wednesday.

Regarding clothes, we were expecting a 7lb something but he ended up being 8lb 5. Newborn was fine for a few weeks, then first size but he's growing out of them. I tried 0-3 which is a bit big but at least his poor little feet aren't squashed

soda I was a tearful wreck on days 3 and 4. It gets much better.

mayago · 12/09/2016 13:57

Congratulations Miley! And a warm welcome to baby Harrison. I love his name!

Soda I hope your day is getting easier and you have a MW visit soon Flowers

Indi and Lilian fanny daggers don't sound like fun. Not looking forward to those!

Thinking of visiting my parents and sister at the end of the month.. They're usually not in the same place but will be for a few weeks. If I can squeeze in more holiday time from work and a cat sitter I think I'll do it. I'll be 25 or 26 weeks, so shouldn't be too much of a problem for a 7ish hour flight?

LisaTheSimpson · 12/09/2016 13:58

God, I’ve missed so much!

First – new babies! Eeeek!

Soda - congratulations! So pleased to hear about Alexa’s arrival (and I LOVE her name!). So glad everything went ok for you.

Irregular - you too! Congratulations! It sounds like Tamsin made a very quick arrival! Amazing!

Miley - another congratulations! I really hoped you’d have a boy as I know you mentioned the name Harrison and I love it!

So many early babies! Miley, I always thought we’d be around the same time!

I hope you’re all getting lots of newborn snuggles, and can’t wait for more pictures and info!

LisaTheSimpson · 12/09/2016 13:58

Potato - your posts about Arya are ADORABLE. I have to say, I never really felt properly broody before, even though I knew I really wanted to have children and was ready TTC. But some of the posts on here, and particularly your recent one (a few pages back), have really touched me. I love how much you guys are enjoying being mummies and it actually makes me a little emotional (I am NOT an emotional person, usually).

Bunch - sorry to hear about hernias and prolapses  Hope they can help you get those things sorted asap. Also, your Insta photos are AMAZING! They’re such a lovely highlight of my day, and I love seeing you three (you, Atticus, and the dog) all together being so cute.

Stardrey - effing hell, what a fortnight you’ve had! So sorry to hear about the hassle your DH has been getting – surely if it’s on CCTV that the guy attacked him, he shouldn’t be getting a caution? And your BIL – bloody hell, there are no words….

BunchOfBobs · 12/09/2016 14:17

Huge congratulations Miley. Such a lovely name. Welcome to the world little man.

Lillian Atticus was 8lb 12oz.

Lisa that's so sweet of you, thank you.

leoniethelioness · 12/09/2016 14:38

Congratulations, Miley! Welcome to the mum club!

Canters15 · 12/09/2016 14:45

Oh my goodness miley!! Huge congrats. Welcome to the world little Harrison. Gosh that happened quickly! I don't suppose you happen to remember when your bump dropped? Someone today told me mine had dropped (at 30+2), can't say I'm aware of it but I may as well obsess over it for a bit!

Clothes wise I've got a mixture of newborn, up to 1 month and 0-3. According to the growth chart baby should be about 7lbs, so hopefully we'll be OK for a bit.

I'm home from work now (half day after the weekend!) and plan to spend the afternoon browsing for a new handbag. I've decided I need a smaller cross body bag to leave my hands free for baby. I've also realised that I am utterly ridiculous in considering a new handbag as an essential baby purchase Grin frivolity thou name art canters!

LisaTheSimpson · 12/09/2016 14:53

Canters, I think that sounds reasonable and think you definitely need a new handbag :) Something pretty and nice....

PotatosMum · 12/09/2016 15:34

Lisa glad the baby posts are making an impression on you. I wasn't particularly broody either although I knew I wanted a baby. The reality though is so different to what I expected. I don't think you really understand the concept of unconditional love until you have a baby.

Oh, and I didn't used to be that emotional, now I sometimes get teary just because Arya is amazing and I can't wait for her to grow up so that I can show/teach her things, but I also hate the idea of her getting older because she's perfect now.

Canters I wouldn't bother with the new handbag. I have discovered that everything just gets stuffed into the changing bag for convenience. considering getting a new one with lots of pockets

I've accidentally picked up Arya and now I can't do any of the chores I intended too because even though she's fast asleep she's also far to cute for me to put down. This is worse than having a puppy. I'll never get anything done!!! Must put her down before OH gets home or he'll grumble that I'm holding her too much again Confused
